Ayy Ojón in Rancho Cucamonga is truly a hidden gem. Having opened near the end of 2025, it may still be flying under the radar, but it deserves much more visibility. I happened to notice the sign and wasn't even sure if it was a new restaurant, but I'm so glad I decided to stop in. The menu features some of Guadalajara's most beloved dishes, including **Tortas Ahogadas, Tacos Dorados, and Carne en su Jugo**, all prepared with authentic flavors that immediately reminded me of home. As someone from Jalisco, Mexico, I am always searching for the flavors I grew up with, and it's rare to find them done right outside of Guadalajara. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the restaurant was clean, cozy, and welcoming. Every bite brought back memories of my home state and made me feel like I had stepped into a small piece of Jalisco right here in Rancho Cucamonga. I know I'll be returning often. It's refreshing to find a place that satisfies those cravings for authentic Guadalajara-style food without having to travel all the way to Mexico. Found this relatively new place here on Yelp. Welcomed warmly and found a table with a view of the TVs. Immediately we were served some crispy duros and Tapatio. No chips and salsa here. I had the crispy shrimp tacos. They were yummy with a pile of fresh pico, cabbage and avocado on top. Served on the side was a yummy warm salsa. Plus a Jamaica agua fresca which was delicious. Hubby had the carnitas plate. Not at all what was expected. The pork wasn't crispy and not closely related to 'carnitas'. The beans were lukewarm. Overall the plate was disappointing and hubby said he wouldn't return. I would come back for the shrimp tacos and a Michelada plus maybe try the queso. read more

First and foremost, the food is 1000/10! Such an amazing spot for true authentic Tortas & Tacos! My family and I took my mom to this spot for Mother's Day and she adored it & so did we! The owner Fer is sooo kind & truly has some of the best staff! Very tentative with us & so friendly! The location is super clean & I love that there is outdoor patio seating as well! The torta ahogada is so good here! The carnitas were so tender and the sauce had a great depth of flavor. I had a drink called cazuela which is citrus based with tequila and it was so refreshing. My husband tried a chorizo, al pastor and carne asada taco and each one was seasoned so well and cooked to perfection. Our server was so friendly and made us feel so welcomed. I can't wait to try more items on the menu. This will definitely be one of our go to spots. read more

This is a true hidden gem, the service was amazing and the food and drinks were so good! Literally felt like I was in Guadalajara. Food was freaking amazing! Very authentic, flavors were so good that I felt like I was eating in Guadalajara. Tortas hogadas are bomb! The service was good. Very attentive and they greeted us with pinwheel doritos. The salsas were so good, we practically ate it all. As far as the atmosphere, Its a small restaurant; hole in the wall type of place with the food making it a freaking 5 star restaurant. You have to try the Tacos Dorados too. A patient recommended this spot to me, and they were absolutely right this place is a must-try! The torta ahogada was AMAZING. The birote bread they use is authentic and imported from Mexico, which makes such a difference. The salsa had the perfect kick, and the carnitas were packed with incredible flavor. I came with my husband and daughter, and we all loved every bite. On top of that, the owner, Fernando, was so friendly and welcoming. Stopped by this little hidden gem in Rancho. Ordered 3 tacos de frijol and a torta ahogada. Total: 22.00 and change I'll start off by reviewing the torta ahogada. It was a yummy torta. I have never had one before so nothing to compare it, but it was quite tasty. Service was good; the 2 gentlemen were very polite and attentive. The bean tacos were not for me but for my PICKY 6 yr old nephew. I am always scared to try new foods for him cause I already know him. To my surprise he LOVED THEM!!!!! He said they were ALMOST as good as mine. That made me happy cause I know how he is and will not filter his comments if something isn't to his liking.
