He was in each isle we were in, then my friend said they were down an isle so I look down the aisle. Seeing a worker instead made me feel embarrassed. As we continued to look around, the worker then approached us saying how we are disrespectful and how we were mocking her yawn. This Walmart's service is atrocious. As someone who has worked in customer service before, I cringe…read morealmost every time I ask someone for help. The associates put forth almost no effort to help customers - at best, they'll tell you what aisle something is on (having previously worked at Walgreens, my expectation is that they should go with me and help me find the item or offer an alternative if it is not available), and at worst, they'll simply tell you that it isn't their area of expertise and either not recommend another associate to help or promise to go get the other associate and then never come back. The customer service associates are blase or outright unfriendly, and overall interacting with them is a frustrating experience. I do appreciate Walmart's offering pickup and delivery, which is the main reason this Walmart didn't get 1 star, but today I even had a negative experience with that. In the app, I selected to allow substitutions, but upon receiving an email about one substitution in particular (they gave me inferior Great Value brand bacon instead of choosing a different higher-quality brand), I decided to give them a call and ask if something could be done about it. I don't know what I was expecting. The associate on the phone was unhelpful and essentially told me it was too close to my order time, even though according to the app, my order was still in the "handpicking" process and I had received the email only about 15 minutes before (and had been on the phone for several minutes by that point). Now I'm stuck with a brand of bacon that will cook down to almost nothing (*their* brand of bacon, I should add) instead of the good bacon I ordered. I don't know, maybe after working at Walgreens, I have some outsized expectations of customer service. Maybe it's asking too much for the customer service associates to actually act like they *want* to help you and *want* to make your experience at their store a positive one. Or maybe, just maybe, Walmart should train their employees to be a little bit nicer and actually put forth some effort. Just a thought.

Walmart West Lafayette has the worst check out system I have ever seen. Tried to get medicine with…read moremy HSA card and was refused. Tried to pay with my bank card and they also rejected it as well as locked my bank card up because of the rejection and flagged my account for fraud. Your system sucks and you need to get it fixed. I don't know how much it will help but I'm taking steps to hold Walmart accountable for my wasted time. I will be filing a complaint with every possible avenue I can find. You should also train your people to not try to take your customers bank cards. I literally had to grab my card from her hand to get it back because she wanted me to jump from register to register trying to get my card to work instead of them just fixing their system. This was after she had already swiped my card so many times it locked my card and account up. I'm putting this here so maybe I can save someone else this head ache. Next complaint I will be filing will be with the Better Business Bureau! The only reason there is a star up top is because this app made me put one to post this review. I personally don't give them any type of good ratings.
