This store isn't what I'm used to from Meijer in Ohio. It was out of date (I guess it's an older store). It was grungy and the deli looked like they could do a better job cleaning. I am shocked at the horrible service at Meijers when it comes to calling in for information or delivery. Today I had a delivery. The woman left it under the mail box away from my door at my apartment complex right near the sidewalk and in the way of my neighbors. No text telling me she was coming and I wouldn't have known they were there (Under the mail box ) If I hadn't had to go out. You call the store and they never ever and I mean they never know the answer to any question. It's frustrated. Customer care though is amazing. the have all the answers, but for some reason lafayette didn't transfer me to them. My go-to grocery store! Ordering groceries for pickup is always very easy. Staff are out very quickly as soon as I check in and are super nice -- it's a much better experience than I've had at Walmart and Sam's Club on this side of town. I've always been Meijer loyal and haven't been disappointed with this location! We drove all night and we were looking for a place to pick up some food and when we saw the sign for Meyer we had to give it a try. This felt like the largest Meijer I have ever been in. We mostly focused on the grocery section and did find some items to get through but I also wandered around and checked out some of the other departments. There were a lot of employees in the store and they were busy stocking everywhere. Even though I saw a lot of different employees not one of them spoke to me. Prices were good and we found things here that we never see down in Florida. I worked for this company over 15 years ago and it was nothing like the store that I worked in. I haven't been to Meijer in a long time. I usually do not shop there because I live on the other side of county. But I happen to be shopping for printer paper and the other box store didn't carry it in their stores. I gave 2 stars because as I entered the store, I asked the cart boy if he could tell me which direction the office/school supplies were; he could not. I made my way around and asked another employee, he was a cashier. He could not tell me where office/school supplies were either!! Very poor customer service!!! I was impressed with Meijer when we moved to Indiana a year ago. My experience has left me frustrated and disappointed. To add insult, I visited the store website and clicked on the "Need help?" link...it went to blank page with nothing...I tried various browsers...still nothing. The core problem is they use cashiers who are underage and can't sell adult beverages (which they have extensive stock). For the last 3 times, the cashier rings up all my items taking 5 minutes or so and then calls for adult help. The line grows...the cashier gets nervous...and I get upset. I usually just say "forget it". The cashiers should clearly see a bottle of wine or case of beer and immediately call for assistance...but never does. This is clearly a management/training problem that should be address by the Store Director Amy Griffis. There is no way to reach her, thus this review. Finally, the grocery cart return islands are only up close to the store and people just tend to leave them free to roll since it's a football field hike round trip. Yep, not coming back. Having never been to a Meijer before, I must admit I was somewhat impressed. This place is ginormous! It's got everything. Food, clothes, makeup, medicine...like a Super Walmart center but cleaner. This Meijer has rotting meat and produce, incorrectly priced items, bug-infested bird food, grimy bathrooms with stains, and diseased, dead fish. Checkout is a nightmare -- 2 of 14 lanes open during the busiest hours of the day. No one watches self-checkout to help customers, so I was left waiting for 5+ minutes when the machine needed employee approval. The West Lafayette Meijer is infinitely better in all ways -- cleaner environment, better produce, and items always in stock. For me, it is absolutely worth the 15 minute drive. read more

Great place to get all of your shopping down. Usually has everything I'm looking for from medication, bath and body, groceries, bakery items, and entertainment. Greeters are friendly and they don't move anything around. I've been using it as my primary grocery store since this one opened and I really have no complaints. Don't bother with ordering your groceries for pick up though. 100% not worth it. But shopping in person it's a great store with decent quality food and accessories. read more

My family love this Meijer. Literally. Love. This. Meijer. If you're traveling down I-65 and need a nice place to get out of your car and walk around a bit, stop at this Meijer. They have some of the best stocked aisles I've ever seen, and I always find cool new food brands/options here. Can I say how excited I am to have bought Tim Horton's coffee from here the other day? Because I am. Although they do need a bit more Dunkin variety. I will say this. Buy the Meijer brand ground coffee because the chocolate cherry kind I bought is to die for and next time I'm in Indiana, I'm taking a road trip to Meijer. I'm not joking. My only negative comment is the bathroom was deplorable this time I was here, and normally they're spotless. So please fix this, Meijer. I continue to be impressed with this grocery. We couldn't find something today and a worker took their time to tell us where to locate it. The staff at the checkout is always courteous. With the pandemic, we have been impressed with how they're handling it. Staff are always wearing masks, keeping a distance and very mindful of being careful. As a high risk person it makes me feel more safe shopping here. They have been well stocked and we can typically find everything we are looking for. read more

I went to this location and tried to walk in the automatic doors "in" doors and they were not working as I walked in the out doors I saw a woman that worked there and told her the doors were not working and I got attitude for absolutely no reason, the only reason I frequent this location is because they carry the flavor of faygo I like "moon mist" in cans I have been trying to get some moon mist in cans for the last two or three months and they never have it on the shelf, they do have other flavors in cans but never have moon mist, I decided I wanted some boneless chicken wings and thought I might get some hot ones from the deli but they didn't have any and was directed to the cold deli case where I found some, I got home and was going to heat them up and found absolutely no cooking instructions on the package anywhere for conventional ovens or microwave ovens, at this point I have had enough so I called to find out if there were instructions that I just haven't located and first talked to customer service after asking for the manager and explained everything about my experiences there today and he then told he wasn't the manager and would put me through to the manager, the manager gets on the phone and I explained everything to him again and he said nothing about the woman that gave me the attitude or anything about the doors not working then I complained about the faygo moon mist and told him that I go out of my to come to meijer because they are the only place in town that sales faygo moon mist in cans he then looked up the product in the computer and told me they stopped selling moon mist in cans only sale it in 2 litre bottles, and through all this never even offered an apology, and seemed put off by me, so then I explained there were no cooking instructions on the boneless chicken and he asked me if they were pre cooked and I said yeah so he said that you just heat them up, well that was not the answer I was looking for and then he said there wasn't enough room to put the instructions on the packaging, I explained there was 2 paragraphs of ingredients, they couldn't put microwave for 60 seconds or whatever, what are you supposed to do eat them cold, I don't know anyone who eats cold boneless chicken wings and I got the most disrespectful answer ever when he said he eats them cold so I said then you're the only one and then he turned into a a$$hole and said his whole family eats cold boneless chicken wings, that was enough of talking to this a$$ hole manager, so instead of pursuing further conversation with someone who should not hold a management position, I just hung up and got online and found a corporate number and website and filing a complaint with corporate, I promise that I will never go to this or any other meijer again and I am going to post this on every social media site and spread the eord about this lousy store and lousy management read more

Overall a good experience; I was able to find almost everything I needed with a few exceptions. Very clean, organized, plenty of space, and a good selection of brands and products. I would give them at least four stars even if they have a organic/ vegetarian section like most super markets do nowadays. Very friendly and helpful staff. They helped me finding some items and I didn't even have to ask them; they saw me trying to find something so they asked me what I was looking for. Price wise I think it's average. I'm a truck driver who parked here over night. The employees were all helpful & kind. @ night I walked in to buy something I needed, couldn't find it so I asked for help & instead of telling me where it was @ he walked me over to it & actually helped me pick which one I wanted. In the morning walked in to get something to eat, I was asked if I needed any assistance @ the register. Bathrooms were spotless both times I walked in also. Overall great experience. If anything the only reason I'm giving 4 is for the lack of greeter @ the door but none the less keep it up y'all read more

Very expensive. I have tried to use my Meijer credit card online and in store. Always declined. Any other store is accepted. I called Meijer HQ they said the problem is at the local Meijer store and to call the customer service. I have never experienced such utter ignorance from employees commanding a customer service position. For approximately 5 months I have been trying to get this issue resolved. I get put on hold and never connect until I call again. My Meijer card is somewhere behind my desk. Bad delivery personnel,thievery runs rampant. Shoppers that fullfill your order request, are akin too, a house with all the lights on, but no one is home. I have had veggies delivered that when I remove a cucumber my fingers go through it. Peppers are like trying to bite through an old John Deere tractor tire. For the prices Meijer charges for the food items you would expect moderate food quality. They don't stock their own brand of popular selling soda because their mark up isn't as profitable as brand name soda. Meijer price gouging on several food items needs to be investigated. Problematic service in multiple areas. Delivery service thievery. Price gouging. Food inspection, food rotating competent order shoppers. I am very grateful and thankful for the shopping and delivery services stores like Meijer provides. I'm disabled and have to rely on a fixed income. When items are stolen or delivered rotten that means I don't eat and can't replace these items. I'm diabetic and I can't eat just anything. read more

BUT do be aware that EVERY TIME they had a Pampers diaper deal such as spend $25 on pamper get a $5 off coupon for your next order (for example) for me personally they have never printed here! Seriously I bought the same products YESTERDAY when I was in WL and the coupon printed - it didn't print here and I had to argue for 10 + mins because they have to cal back and check the price (I understand but it takes soooo long!!) she's trying to tell me the deal isn't in the add blah blah and I'm telling her I used this deal YESTERDAY AND they have 20+ coupons on every single pampers item back in the baby department... It worked out and she gave me $5 cash back since I didn't get the coupons and I used the MPERKS app to show her my receipt from yesterday with the exact same items - she still wanted to argue that the receipt didn't show that I got a coupon to which I pointed out on the receipt I just did had a $5 coupon used on it and I'm like "get the coupon out of the machine!" I wasn't angry and I was really calm about it but hello why do I get coupons easily and correctly at the West Lafayette location and I have to have a long conversation here just to get what's owed to me?! The fish tanks were absolutely unacceptable. The tanks were so filthy, you could hardly see into them. The ones you could see into, had 3-4 dead fish floating dead in them. Many large fishes were gathered in one tank and required much more room. Maintenance was poor and it showed. read more

I recently bought a bottle of wine at your store and when I pick up the bag the bag broke and the bottle of wine fell to the floor and glass and wine went everywhere. No one seemed to care except the lady at the heating and cooling place across the way. A peice of glass was in my shoe and luckly I didn't cut myself. No one asked if I was ok or anything. We've never seen a store go downhill so quickly. We had shopped at this place for years and it used to be one of our favorite grocery stores. At the end of 2014 we would have given this place five stars. But, after a few months of seeing how bad this place has become, we thought it was time to write a review. This is not because of the remodeling. The meat department elks like rancid meat. The deli department smells like an unclean bathroom. The bathroom IS unclean and disgusting. One toilet was not working, one mirror was missing, one faucet was broken. The toilet paper dispenser was empty and the toilet roll was sitting on top and half wet from what I guessed was from falling on the dirty, wet floor. For a large grocery store the shelves were pretty bare and not stocked with basic staples. It looked like a tornado had gone through some of the aisles. We've seen how good the place can be, hopefully they can restore it soon! read more

Absolutely the best grocery in Tippecanoe! I've been to the Pay Less (Kroger), Walmarts, and Marsh and this place beats them hands down! First the produce, ooh (shiver) the produce! It's the best EVER--the variety, the freshness, the price! Yum. Second, they have an extensive alcohol selection (wine especially) and pet food, toys, etc. I've never really shopped in the other sections, though I do use their drive thru pharmacy too. I've never gotten bad produce or bakery items, they have a bigger selection than Walmart, and I mentioned to the cashier on my first visit I was looking for a specific brand of Greek yogurt that I forgot to look for (since moving here Pay Less seemed to be the only place that had Greek Goddess) and she called back and found out while Continuing to ring me up so no one was inconvenienced! I always get superb service there, the food and brand selection is phenomenal, and they're prices are on par with Walmart. Why go elsewhere?! read more

RACIST! - I grew up in Indy and love Meijer for the variety and the size of the store. Unfortunately today I was charging my car at the Tesla station next to it and stopped into Meijer to get some water. When I was walking out, an older Lady named Pat A. Who appears to be working there stopped me and asked if she could check my laptop bag. I let her do so and she said that I walked in a went around and got some water so that made me suspicious. I simply went through the entrance door, perused around for some snack and eventually got just a bottle of water, not sure why that was suspicious. She had a derogatory look saying "you may go". I asked her what was special about me compared to others who also came through the door and left. She couldn't answer. Looking around I was the only dark skin guy and pointed that out to her that perhaps it was my complexion that got me stopped. She simply remained quiet. Great prices we do all of our grocery shopping here. Very clean store

Store was very busy today, with only 5 lanes open with cashiers. My daughter and I got in line behind two other people, and were waiting about 5 minutes when the cashier announced that she was closing her lane and to move to another one. We moved to the lane right next to us, behind four other very full carts. As we are standing there, we watch a woman and her partner proceed to get in the line we just left, even though the cashiers light was out and she had a chain across her lane. The cashier apparently knew them and allowed them to go through her line after she had turned us away. We waited for another 20 minutes in our lane, while the two women that came after us, skated right through the "closed" lane. I have been a loyal customer of Meijer for many years, but this incident, along with a couple other small things that have happened recently, have made me rethink my choices for shopping. read more
