The tasting room is pleasantly decorated with a good amount of room for multiple parties of guests. The lady at the counter was very friendly and accommodating to our large group. We were given a list of the varietals available and instructed to select 5 for each tasting room. Our most favorite by far was the Sangiovese. My husband chose to bypass the tasting and opted to purchase a glass of Sangiovese instead because it was that good! Four Winds will be visited by us again in the future for sure!

The service was as good as the wine. They have a beautiful history, a deep love of the area and the most welcoming vibe we experienced during our stay. Dre and Andi are absolute gems!! They offer the kind of experience you dream about for a weekend getaway. The aesthetics of the tasting room are beautiful and carefully curated. We felt home within seconds and left with delicious wine (must try the barbera!!!), a fantastic experience and what felt like lifelong friends. My husband and I became Instant fans! By the way I must mention there are over 22 wine tasting rooms and you could probably stay for a week and not have tried all the restaurants.

The road leading to the winery is a one lane road in an extremely rural area. My sister lives in PML (Pine Mountain Lake) and discovered this wine recently and has been raving! She ordered a case of their wine and off we were to pick it up! The winery is currently not open for regular wine tasting visits. You can order online and pick up the wine. It is a modest winery set back up on a hill. It is a gorgeously isolated location. The winery has a philosophy of less is more. The wines are available for retail at approximately 13 retail locations in the sierra foothill community. Look on their website for the list! They support local charitable organizations in the surrounding rural communitites. Yes, I researched this winery on their website. The wine is that good! The Tannat is amazing! I am a beer snob, but not necessarily a wine snob. But, I do know good wine when I taste it! Order 6 plus bottles and you get a deal! Whoop! If you are going to visit Yosemite, order online and come here for a case or two of wine. You will NOT regret it! Leave yourself plenty of time to drive here.
