They were previously done in 2001. Larry of Halco attended and gave us the best written quote. It was not the cheapest, but I must say, the best explained. He answered questions and explained what would be done, material to be used and pricing for any new plywood sheets that may need to be replaced. I then saw that they were replacing to roofs on two single family dwellings on a nearby street. I stopped by and watched them work. I was impressed with what they were doing and how they were doing it. When they attended to do ours, they were quick, no loud radio playing and clean-up was excellent. We were both very satisfied with the final finish. We both highly recommend Halco. Remember, not the cheapest, but listen carefully to the quote and explanations of others and I think you'll be impressed. Plus it has a written warranty which is transferable.

We received 4 quotes from different roofers and selected Halco. They were not the lowest quote, but they were not the highest quote either. We chose Halco based on the initial interview, Larry answered all of our questions thoroughly and explained fully what the crew would do. We also had two excellent references. They started on the day they promised and were finished on time, and they did not a have a boom box radio blaring all day as our neighbours did who hired another company. The shingles looked good and are warranted for 50 years. Money was not not required until job was completed. Cleanup was done well, no papers, torn shingles or nails anywhere and no damage to our gardens. We would highly recommend Halco roofing.

My house was built around…read more1860 and needs a little TLC here and there, the roof was probably due a couple of years ago. Apart from some disjoint when coordinating things between the radio station and the roofing company, when it came to installation, it went impressively smooth. I'll be honest, they brought an army of polite, courteous, eager and friendly roofers, back-office, front office, marketing and promotion people. The tear-down of the old shingles and Installation of the new GAF roofing system with extra vents, new and improved flashing etc. took barely 2 hours, highly impressive. The clean up crew circumnavigated the property a few times, collecting shingles, nails, shingle grit, empty caulk tubes and any garbage as thoroughly as they could. The roof not only looks great but come the following Monday, the torrential downpours we experienced reinforced the quality and performance of a good roof. All round talented, professional and experienced. DAngelo Roofing comes highly recommended in my opinion and you'll be very pleased with outcome. Disclosure: I won this DAngelo Roofing new roof in a local radio station competition however I'm under no obligation to provide reviews.

Everything appeared to be moving forward until just 4 days before the scheduled completion date, when the sales representative informed us they had "misquoted" the project and that it would now cost several thousand dollars more. This was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Changing the agreed price at the last minute after a signed contract and deposit had already been provided put us in a very difficult position, especially now that most contractors are already booked for the summer season. We understand mistakes can happen, but honoring signed agreements and communicating accurate pricing are basic expectations. Unfortunately, our experience showed a lack of accountability and reliability, and we cannot recommend this company based on how this situation was handled.
