Ayers provided driveway raise/repair services 8 months ago. Equipment malfunctioned, causing an 'explosion' of resin used in their process to adhere to sections of home siding, stairs, pillars, and banisters. Technicians onsite acknowledged their responsibility to repair this, which will require sanding and repainting. I have had text message exchanges with the technician and left numerous voicemails for management with Ayers home office over the last eight months, and have received zero return calls regarding this matter. What could have been easily resolved for $200 in paint and labor, is now requiring the BBB and state Attorney General's office. Pathetic.

    How Ayers makes basements "leakproof"!!
    Kristen C.

Our unfortunate experience with Ayers began with an impressive sales pitch. The price did include a permit they said they would have to pull. They went ahead and scheduled us for the next week. The morning of our appt, with all of our stuff moved in such a way that no one could easily access anything (home office, computer, bills, etc), they called and rescheduled. The soonest they could get us in was an entire month out. The second appt was made and once again, they rescheduled the morning of. Once they showed up, we were shocked at how young the kids were. We told them that we had dogs and cats. Both were put up in rooms where they couldn't bother the workers. However, once they left for the day, our gate was left wide open. Luckily when we let our dogs out, they didn't notice the open gate. Another issue we had is that they left the front screen door propped open. It was a very windy day in April and the wind blew our screen door off the hinge because it was left open. The workers were there for 2 whole days. In that time they jackhammered our concrete floors, installed a pipe from the leaking window all the way to where our sump pump pumps water outside. We were told by our sales person we would have a small concrete seam. What we were left with was a huge trail of uneven concrete work that followed the pipe and it was a good foot wide. The concrete was so uneven that a piece of tile wouldn't lay correctly if we tried to do so. Then we looked at the work around the window. They put holes in the concrete to the outside of the house. They was a piece of plastic blocking a larger hole that was not flush to the concrete. Even now that piece of plastic allows the most water in. To explain that absolute absurdity of what they did is a hard task. There was rag blocking a pipe to the outside. We have no idea why but it was stuck all the way in with purpose. The outside pipe isn't even connected to the pipe that goes to the sump pump drain. Now we have new leaks that are all over the basement. We had a plumber come and look at the pipe and he dumped over 5 gallons of water into their pipe (drains into the sump pump area) and absolutely nothing came out of the other end. So where is it going? When the kids left, they tried to collect the full balance. We refused. The sales person, owner, and a few other people from Ayers contacted us. The only thing they said is that they would come back out and "fix the problem". At this point they have drilled holes into our house, broke up concrete, and made the leaking go from one to area to the majority of our basement area. At this point we want them to never touch our house again. They were condescending in every way. We were told that they would have a really good team come to our house to fix their mistakes. Shouldn't all of your teams be GOOD TEAMS? Ayers acknowledged they messed up. They said it was their fault. They only wanted to send more people into our home to what????? Fix the huge holes and jacked up work? Why would we trust them again?? At this point we had read some other complaints about Ayers. One said to check your permit. We did. No permit was ever pulled and yes, they did charge us for one. Then, they argued with us about needing one. We had checked with Mason County building inspectors and were told that we did need one. Ayers assured us that they didn't (after charging us for one). Come to find out, they were told they needed one and quickly pulled one. So, all of this work was UNPERMITTED. They played that down like it was no big deal. Ayers has ruined our basement. Not only did they not fix the problem, but they made it leak EVERYWHERE. The first big rain we had after they destroyed our basement, we had an inch of water standing in our entire basement. We went from a small leak that prevented us from finishing part of the basement to our entire basement being flooded. We have to have Servpro come and clean up the flood damage and mold. We had to throw away furniture. Our son had nice guitars that had flood damage. We had electrical equipment that shorted out. It is unreal. They were notified of our predicament and the Vice President was nothing but condescending. They are using scare tactics and threatening to put a lien on our house to secure the final payment. My question to Ayers....final payment for what? The damage?

Nick W and his crew of Kyle and Josh B did a great job sealing 2 crack in our home's basement foundation.

Scheduled an estimate for installation of a metal roof. Two sales representatives arrived an hour…read moreearly and started measurements and inspected the house. We then sat down to explore options and went through a long power point presentation (2 1/2 hours) We were specifically looking at metal options but they insisted that we also look at a more budget friendly fiberglass option as well. The two gentlemen were polite but very high pressure salesmen, always trying to close the deal despite then knowing we were just beginning the process and were looking for information. They were convincing regarding their product, but totally whiffed during pricing presentation. We were trying to get budgeting information to determine which direction we would choose. They, on the other hand were in a hard sell close. The initial price was $88000 which was way more than expected or reasonable. they then tried to switch to the fiberglass option which was "only" $64000. We did not think the numbers made sense and told them so. Next they went through various options and discounts, requesting testimonials and favorable surveys to get a huge reduction to $68000 for metal and $44000 for for the fiberglass. The caveat is we had to make the decision now. They offered to sit in our driveway while we talked it over, but with no copy of an estimate or proposal that outlined materials, dimensions, scope of work.....only verbal representations. The salesmen were very effective but we asked for more time to evaluate our options I sent an email requesting a formal estimate and was ignored. The sales manager did call and asked about the process....I expressed frustration on their unwillingness to commit to a written quote and he indicated we would only get one once we decided to proceed. So much for customer relations. This seems like a sales operation vs. a construction company. Very aggressive and unresponsive.....they do stay on script. We are relieved that we stepped back from an emotional decision and did a bit of homework, The BBB reviews and stories tell you all you need to know. BUYER BEWARE!

1-313-209- 6419 is the number that they call you from but they try to tell you to call their 1-888…read morenumber . This place is a complete sham just like the other review there response was were here on the other side of Lansing the next few weeks and could not get down your way. In other words the polite way of saying buzz off after they realize the area where the quotes were. This place is just a call center with the same photos of their jobs and postings in different cities including Ohio and Michigan. All the reviews online are bad. With poor customer service. My experience was no better. And you can pay to have a different rating with the Better Business Bureau which is on their website. The female my phone was extremely rude basically stating this is not the kind of roof that you want people put these kind of roofs on homes they keep for a long time you wouldn't want us. The fact that most homes in this Corktown area have hit the 500,000 price range and Ford Motor Company just moved in. And the restoration project on the grand central train station is 700 million. These homes are going to be the ground floor of the high-end Chicago style neighborhood here in Detroit. Their arrogance will make them miss out on a lot more jobs and the fact that I was going to give them two locations to do sorry for them. Hopefully anyone who does a minor amount of due diligence we'll see the poor contractor they are. Don't waste your time or effort . They are arrogant and disrespectful. Hopefully this will be their downfall anyone who decides to utilize them after the multiple reviews that all have the same underlying tone unfortunately deserve what they sign up for . However emphatically I can agree with them on one comment they made . " this metal roof is not for you" that arrogance Alone says enough
