They did an excellent job on the remodeling of my upstairs bathroom and also took care of arranging the mold remediation cleanup, when mold was found. Also did a great job on the ceiling, new ceiling fan installation, etc. of the downstairs bathroom which had water damage from the upstairs bathroom. The project manager Norm Shamoun was nice, professional -- just AWESOME!! He communicated with me frequently and kept me updated on work status and any issues. All the contractors/staff that worked on my house/home were nice, respectful, did quality/excellent work and on time -- fantastic completed work. The cost was reasonable and fair; and the work was done in a timely manner. I will definitely use J & L for other home projects. Thanks again J & L for being such a blessing.

I would like to give kudos to J & L Restoration. The management and staff: Dan Johnson in…read moremanagement, Norm and Zach in carpentry, and David and Josh in plumbing. Dan examined the water damage in the bathroom floor around the fixtures and checked the subfloor underneath. He decided what needed to be done. He wrote up a proposal and contract, and made the cost very fair and affordable. Norm and Zach worked so hard in taking off the damaged flooring layer by layer - down to the joists! They then professionally installed layers of new flooring, laid the interlocking tiles that we had picked out, and finished it perfectly with new baseboard. My family and I think it's beautiful! David and Josh came to install a new toilet and fix plumbing. They did a great job by repositioning the toilet and making sure there were no leaks. We lived with a bad floor for over a decade, not knowing the full damage that had taken place. So we are thrilled with the new quality construction of our bathroom. I recommend J & L Restoration to everyone for their professionalism, knowledge, honesty, consideration, and friendliness.

About seven years or so we had Ayer come out and remove the old broken clay weeping tile in our…read morebasement and install a new system complete with sump system. They did a nice job no more water in the basement. Hated the little in ground sump discharge tank in the yard...always standing water. We ultimately had a local contractor reroute the sump discharge to the city storm sewer system $$$. It resolved the problem. Ayers at the same time also installed new basement windows (wrong type) but never finished the installation until months later after a lot of calling...in the interim we patched them as best we could, but our basement became a haven for spiders and other insects. The next year at our annual Ayers sump inspection, Zach (Zachart Stout) pointed out the failing of our 80-year-old north basement wall, of which we were already aware of. So, by 2026 after annual inspections by Zach, the wall situation had worsened to the point of needing repair (or take your chances). An Ayers crew came out and installed a series of GeoLock wall anchors to stabilize the wall. Their work was timely, very efficient and left no mess. We probably would have rated Ayers with a 5 if it hadn't been such a poor previous experience with the windows. Thanks, Zach, for your help and advice over the years.
