If I'd known the real problem, I would've paid a little extra to have it fixed correctly. But Mike charged me for the original quote & didn't explain that he'd made a mistake. So we still have the exact same leak we had before Mike charged us $3,430 for a leak proof basement (an airtight seal was promised in our original estimate. He said there'd be an apocalypse or the world would end before water leaked into the basement after his fix), & he claims now that we should've gotten a new door "like he suggested". He really said that we would eventually need to change our door. He didn't say, after getting into the problem, that the door was actually the cause of the leak, because our front door was beginning to rot, from the original owners trying to hide the leak in our basement. He just acted like that was a separate problem. Once the leak came back (in the same exact places & the same intensity), Mike wants to claim ignorance ("oh I said once I got under the porch that you need to change your door, but you didn't want to"). Total BS. He's a scammer!!!!I And I've given him weeks to actually be an honest person & fix the problem. So now we have to sue him to get our money back & report him to the BBB with proof of the real fix to our leak & his promises in our original quote. Don't fall his nice guy act!

Tom A. came out early the next day and using a camera found the source of the problem...and more. Not only was the pipe clogged but there was a break at the juncture with the city's line. Tom was marvelous working with the city and was able to assure us quickly that all would be taken care of. Within one day, the excavating in the street was done, new pipe put in, and road repaired. And it turned out to be a bit tricky given the location of the pipe. All at a reasonable price for the amount of work. Tom will take care of your sewer or drain problem for you quickly and you'll be able to rest easy knowing that you are in capable hands. Competence and trustworthiness can't be beat.

I moved into a 1960s-70s home and soon had a basement main drain clog. I chose Allen's Plumbing based on their high ratings. They arrived on time but immediately began criticizing my real estate agent and home inspector, boasting about decades of experience. He spent less than 30 minutes with a snake, claimed it could not go past 50 ft, and pulled out only a small amount of debris and fine roots--about the size of a fist--yet dramatically acted as if my sewer was severely damaged. On-site, he pressured me to call my agent, rudely criticized them over the phone, and claimed I had only two options: dig up the basement or the yard, costing about $5,000. He insisted the pipe was broken and needed replacing, and charged $265 for the day's "work." He then called in another company with a camera (Kowski's Sewer Service), quoting another $250. This second company was equally unprofessional, failed to locate the blockage, and suggested I check with insurance about replacement. They also damaged my drain plug and left a filthy mess. The next day, through my teacher's contact, I hired another plumber--professional, clean, and determined. He used a snake to go 100 ft, removed a long arm's-length mass of debris, and found the real culprit: a clump of wet wipes. Problem solved without any pipe replacement. Clearly, my pipe was not broken. Allen's Plumbing exploits customers' lack of technical knowledge to push unnecessary major repairs. This is unprofessional and shameful. Businesses like this will not last long. I will continue to post reviews and file complaints on other platforms to warn others and prevent more people from being deceived and losing their money.

I had no mechanical parts problems before he arrived but just needed coolant. After he finished putting in coolant he suddenly told me my Furnace drip pan was cracked and needed a new part but had to order it. Before he arrived I never heard water dripping and then suddenly when he was finished with the maintenance I had this dripping noise from my furnace and he left with the air conditioning running and when I came home from work I had water all over my floor where the furnace was and turned off the air conditioning. He sent me a invoice for a $700 repair but never told me what was actually needed and he didn't turn off the air conditioning when he left knowing the dripping water would cause damage to my furnace.

Awful. Not sure where to begin. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. On top of a subpar…read morepaint job, there is lead in the old paint which was NOT disclosed to us nor abated. And the chips are everywhere. Even in the street and on my neighbors driveway. This was an $8400 paint job. Over $4000 of that was scaffolding & harness charges they NEVER used. $500 for tarping, which was never used either; obviously. 1/2 way through the first day, I heard "the paint boss" say not to scrape anymore. They just slapped a very thick and quick coat and it was flaking off immediately, big chunks too, I would say 1/3 of the chips are from flakes AFTER they painted. However, since now Iam aware of the lead paint WE had to have tested, iam thankful we did not continue. Contractor Travis and his "paint guy" Jeremy did not want to meet us but we persisted and my ring camera caught them saying "we will eat the cost if you're not happy" yet here iam fighting to get my money back. In full disclosure, Todd, the general manager, if you can call him that , said he would refund me except the asbestos testing fees of $650. I asked to see the test, nothing. Not that I feel I owe them anything after this. I believe Servrpo is a predatory "restoration service". Todd was the worst to deal with, but all were condescending and dishonest, told us not to tell them how to do their job, said we need to trust the process. See the pics. State Farm referred this company but we have contacted them about all of this. I have also contacted the EPA and MDHHS. And yes I have contacted an attorney. Run.

Started out ok Tom seemed knowledgeable with a reasonable estimate. He was asked to install rolled…read morevinyl, replace trim, prime and paint bathroom walls ceiling and trim. When he came to inspect for estimate he recommended luan over the floor. When it came time to actually install the vinyl it was clear that he did not review the manufacturer recommendation. He kept wanting to do a loose lay or perimeter only bond. The manufacturer was clear that it was a full spread glue down. I called and emailed the manufacturer to verify and shared the information with him including the full documentation of how to install the floor. He didn't want to use primer before the glue. He didn't make the proper relief cuts leaving the site with vinyl going up the side of the wall and tub. I did make the cuts after he left when I noticed it and pushed the glue out. After gluing down the floor he said it might bubble up due to the vdc from the underlying vinyl floors I commented maybe that's why they recommended a primer. He also recommended putting the luan over the other two vinyl floors when he could have recommended complete tear out of the underlying floors. We discussed putting more sub floor under the bathtub as there was a gap that wasn't previously shimmed. He later spray foamed under/inside the tub without asking me first. I advised him that my previous tub cracked due to the use of spray foam and that I hope this spray foam doesn't do the same. When it came to the finish paint there were a number of run, paint on the window, light, bathtub, and cabinets that were not intended to be painted. I cleaned some of it up with rubbing alcohol. At this point I was not pleased with the workmanship because it lacked craftsmanship. I know my 10 year old could do a better job painting. I advised Tom that I would find someone else to complete the trim and fix the other concerns I brought up. He was upset and let me know that he felt he wasn't done with the job. I let him know that I don't want him back to the house. I give 2 stars because maybe he would have done better but I really couldn't afford to have someone continue that I would have to constantly supervise and point out that paint shouldn't be left to run or that relief cuts should be made before glueing down vinyl not after the glue dries.
