Within 1 week of contact I was able to discuss my concerns, the engineer completed a thorough walk through of my home & gave me ample amount of time view discuss my concerns. More importantly they didn't drag out the walkthrough for hours!! I appreciate the honest responses to help distinguish between normal settlement & items that are concerning. I'm waiting on the written report (inspection was completed one business day before writing this review) to proceed with the fixes. I strongly urge spending time & money on an inspection from a structural engineer before spending $$$$ for repairs that aren't needed. Prior to contacting I had 2 vendors try to sell me solutions for problems I didn't have. The price I paid for the inspection literally saved me $$,$$$. Poor Quality. No engineering guidance. Contractors described their report as "useless". Rude…read more I do NOT recommend this structural engineer. They spent little time in the basement (9 min) only taking measurements with a level. Without writing anything down or providing very little engineering justification, they recommended an extreme amount of work. They recommended multiple forms of reinforcement costing a large sum without providing justification. A simple google search reveals their recommendations were the common one in the industry. This lead me to believe they just said what they needed to cover themselves. When asked for more guidance and drawings on what needs to be done, they got nearly hostile and told me that we the job of the contractors. When we provided their written report to the contractors, contractors told us it was useless, and we needed to hire a new structural engineer. They also said some of the recommendations were not possible in our basement. We think they may have just copy and pasted from a previous report they wrote. I think they used to be good because they had great reviews online. They also picked up the phone quickly. However, I highly discourage hiring them.
