Since Bay is closing down for a while, this would be one of the last reviews. I went on the 2nd…read morelast day of the closing clearance and most of the stuff are already gone. There were still some fixtures left unsold, mainly mannequins, clothing racks, and some display stands. I was surprised how much inventory The Bay could get rid of. The jewelry section had a lot of people, but even if those cannot be sold on the last day, I'm sure it won't be wasted. Maybe if more sales event were done before getting bankrupted would have saved them. Now that Canadian Tire bought them out, it would be interesting to see what will be done to the store in the future when they choose some to reopen. I bought a dawn feather jacket from the online store around Dec. The shipping was pretty fast, like within 2 days. The quality was good, very light, but still very warm when I went out on the colder days. I got the black colour as it's the only colour left available. $110 for the dawn jacket was a steal. I really do hope they make good use of the real estate.

I have always LOVED The Bay Queen Street store and it's rich history. I would give it 5 stars if…read morethey didn't replace their lovely cafeteria on the 8th floor and their original food hall in the basement. I literally cried when they closed their cafeteria on the 8th floor and having gone there regularly for years, it was sad they replaced it an empty event space. I hated how they replaced their food service with Olivieri & Bonancini and going upscale was their downfall. The Pusateri's in the basement now overpriced and not as good as their original food hall, which catered to everyday people but now it's an overpriced upscale food place. But I love the clothes floors and the other departments. It's sad other Bay stores are closed but I feel fortunate this store is staying open and I will cherish it with all my heart and I hope it never closes.

My experience with Lynda was phenomenal. Color assessments have been trending on social media and I…read morewas fortunate to have found her in Vegas. I went in for a Color Analysis, Body Analysis, and Makeup Consultation. I chose her because of her many years of experience. She has been in the industry for 17 years so far! I received more than I thought I would. Lynda goes into detail into the "Why", which I found very engaging. On top of all that, I really enjoyed working with her. She's very charismatic and fun to work with. After my session, I receive a personal style booklet and a color wallet that I can take with me when shopping. I'm truly excited to choose clothes that are better suited for me. I highly recommend Lynda! If you're feeling hesitant, she is available to answer any questions you may have before committing to the service.

I admit that I was skeptical at first but with Lynda's abundance of knowledge, inspiration and guidance, I am really looking forward to making appropriate changes with my new color palette. The more I look at my swatches, the more enthusiastic I get - truly. I can't thank Lynda enough for 'the wake-up call'. I would also like to add that over and above her area of expertise, Lynda is bright, sincere and especially amiable. I highly recommend her for a Color Analysis. You will not be disappointed!

2.5/5 Another great bridal store located close to a subway…read morestop (Chester station) on bloor. I went on a weekday so the store was not as busy and my consultant was solely focused on me. In terms of style, they did have a lot to choose from but I find their styles not as modern... they carry more classic wedding dresses and not a lot with sparkle. The wedding consultant I had was nice, but I didn't feel she was as helpful as all the other places I've been to already. She did not come in to help me with changing into the gowns, nor did she really ask if I was doing ok while I was changing into the gowns. She was also hesitant to let me try on certain styles as it wasn't the proper size for me.. i understand in the point of view that i won't get the full image of how it would look on me but if a customer wanted to try something.. you should be willing to give them the opportunity to do so. I wouldn't recommend this store as much to other brides to be but it is worth checking out if you're looking for a classic wedding dress. Pricing here is also fairly cheaper as well. They can also do alteration onsite and if you do buy from them and decide to do alteration outside... you get an additional 10% discount!

I've bought my dress! I thought I would wait until the end…read moreof the dress process to update my review, but doubt much will change. During my 6 months searching for a dress, I came back here quite a few times and always worked with Mackenzie. I came back for a total of 5 times for different reasons, trying on 1 single dress to see how I feel, and full blown dress picking appointment. Mackenzie was always patient and we got along well. It gets really busy here on the weekends, and it really affects your experience here. I came by once to try a specific dress, which I told them and called ahead of time. Not only was M. not there (on her lunch), but someone was supposed to sub for her. We waited 15 mins for someone, and finally they let me in, but they could not find the dress I specified. They even brought me a different one than I had called in for (the file had the name, and it was correct). I wasn't pleased. The day I finally came to buy the dress, with my mom, 2 friends and the MiL, they got me in the dress, then left me for at least 10+mins. There were so many awkward situations where I don't know where M. had disappeared to and why things were taking so long. I also got some ideas for Veils from the guy that makes it. I found his attitude a little abrasive, and rude. It's not my fault I don't know how to look at the veil and adjust the mirrors! They make Veils in house and they range from $100-400. The entire appointment that day took about 1.5 hours, but a lot of it was standing around. I decided to buy the dress here, because they were one of few in Toronto that carried it, plus it was in a convenient location, and I've bothered them so much already. I get 10% off for taking the dress offsite to alter, and I decided to do this - they will back up the alterations in case anything will go wrong, also since they are so busy, I don't want to have to have a bad experience. I can't imagine anything else will happen from now until I pick up the dress. So there it is! --- Edit: so when I went to pick up my dress, I had to actually make an appointment, which was a little strange to me, given that I paid for it already, and physically just picking it up. I was told this was necessary so that someone can greet me and have the dress ready. When I got there on what seemed to be a quiet Friday afternoon, there was no one to greet me. Finally someone came and saw me, and went to the back to get my dress. She disappears for about 5 mins, and another women back from break walks in an sees me standing there. Checks me in, a 2nd time, and goes to the back to look for my dress. This boggles my mind because I was so sternly told that I needed to make an appointment, and yet, neither a person nor my dress was ready. Finally she came, and I picked up my dress. Just a word of warning I guess.
