I went to a party which someone brought chicken from this place and it was delicious. When I was in the area, I knew I had to come back. The restaurant is casual with enclosed outdoor seating. Parking is limited but we didn't have a hard time finding a spot. Chicken is perfectly cooked, juicy and flavorful, the half chicken is 4 pieces and can feed 2 people. I had the combo plate with rice and beans and they were delicious. You order at the window and they bring your food to one of the picnic tables you're seated at. Excellent service!

This restaurant must've changed hands a few times over the years, I am glad Ay Papa Que Rico took over and have been here a cool min. Decided to visit a couple weeks ago and they did not disappoint... ordered the half chicken combo which came with a choice of black or pinto beans, tortillas, rice, salsa, grilled jalapenos, radish, lemon and an avocado! We also got 2 empanadas, beef and chicken. Both was enough for 2 (women) hungry patrons. They actually offer table service which I was surprised, I really thought it was seat yourself but a nice older gentleman brought water, napkins and the food to our table. If you are in the valley, they do have 6 locations give them a try, support small business!

They're super nice and the food is SO delicious always. I force my bf to get this for me every now and then as I crave it and their salsa verde specifically, yellow rice so good. Beans are also really good but I don't prefer beans so we get extra rice. I love this place.

Everything was so delicious!!! Coming back!!

I ordered the La Bamba Special, which features slow-roasted, shredded pork seasoned with a Caribbean-style marinade and is usually served with rice and beans. I was looking forward to a flavorful Cuban-style dish, but the meal turned out to be quite unexpected. Instead, the plate included chunks of pork topped with raw red onions, accompanied by Mexican rice and refried beans, which didn't align with my expectations. Overall, the dish was disappointing and unappealing, both in flavor and in the combination of sides. I ended up eating only a quarter of it. The refried beans had no flavor, and I chose not to eat the rice because I prefer different styles. One of my friends ordered fried yuca and fried plantains. While I appreciate the effort to include these items, the yuca was quite dry and could benefit from more seasoning. The plantains, which resembled regular bananas, seemed to have too much oil. As someone who enjoys Caribbean cuisine, I believe the restaurant would benefit from focusing more on traditional flavor combinations. Mixing elements of Mexican and Caribbean cuisine can be a challenge, especially for those familiar with both; there's great potential for improvement by keeping these cuisines distinctly represented. I recommend assessing your kitchen staff; they may need training. I wanted to share some positive recommendations with family and friends about visiting this restaurant, but I recommend exploring other options for now. I hope that constructive feedback will help enhance the dining experience. Thank you!

My friend ordered the standard breakfast, 2 eggs over easy, but were hard, hash browns were a McDonalds hash brown crisp soaked in oil. The only thing good that could be considered Cuban was the cafe con Leche, because the basic coffee was also not good. Atmosphere: the only other thing that was Cuban was the background music, which was great! Service: our waitress was very nice, friendly. Tip: don't come here for a Cuban breakfast, just the Cafe con Leche. To the owner, IMO it so much easier to make good Cuban food, why not just do that.

The way he manages the flow, the seating, the timing--it's honestly impressive to watch. It reminded me of how Dwight D. Eisenhower coordinated Allied forces during World War II. That might sound like a wild comparison for a restaurant, but hear me out--Eisenhower wasn't just about brute force, he was about positioning, timing, and getting everyone where they needed to be at exactly the right moment. That's exactly what Sebastian does here. No chaos, no confusion--just smooth execution. Tables turn over efficiently without ever feeling rushed, orders come out on time, and the whole place feels dialed in. It's rare to see that level of control and awareness in a busy restaurant. And beyond the management, the food absolutely delivers. Everything feels fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The experience as a whole feels intentional--from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave.
