Love this place! The best fire grilled chicken in the area. The plates come with black or pinto beans, roasted jalapeño, rice and tortillas. It's a lot of food great for lunch then second lunch lol. On the older side of town off Palmdale blvd. Many years ago it used to be ihop. Indoor tables and waiting area with bench seats by the entrance. Order over the phone for pick up to avoid the wait. Great service super friendly and generous. We're always satisfied as loyal customers with their customer care and delicious food.

Lamb chop. Dry as a bone.

Empanadas a YES. Everything else. Nope. Anyone that says this place is delicious doesn't know good meat. Ordered lamb chops and 1/2 chicken. Both dry as a bone. The lamb chops were not marinated. Extremely dry, couldn't even eat. Customer service great. I'll return for any empanadas but grilled meats?? Absolutely not.

The food quality is spectacular! I always get the Baracoa Cubano sandwich and it never disappoints. The ingredients are fresh and organic with each dish I've ordered. Since I have allergies to ingredients used to preserve frozen food, it's always been so hard finding a restaurant with a menu that doesn't cause me issues--and Baracoa has never compromised with their ingredients! The organic quality of their food is something you'll taste on your first bite. And finally--the service is impeccable and I have yet to see such excellent hospitality at any restaurant I've visited, even in Los Angeles! The waiters are always kind, attentive, and energetic with their behavior and service. It's very easy to tell they love the work they do and it shows in their work ethic. In addition to that, the managers are always making sure we're having an excellent night and have transformed it to a level of service we've never seen! My parents and I went a week ago and talked to Daniel the Manager about how much we missed a Piña Colada from a closed restaurant which would make it in the pineapple itself--and he said if we promised to be there in a week he's make it himself. We came on Friday, and the joy that my family felt was palpable when Daniel came out with the drinks we've wished for years now since that restaurant closed! Honestly, I've never heard of someone caring for their guests so much to do that--truly everyone should visit this establishment and experience true fine dining. I don't think I'll ever eat anywhere else for a special occasion ever again.

It is all made to perfection and there is not one thing we don't love. For about $32 dollars you can get Havana Bites, it is a taste of some of their great items. It comes with Beef & Chicken Empanadas, Papas Rellenas, Platanos Fritos and Yuca Frita all served with Rico Sauce, which is so great. All of their empanadas are great and you can get just one or a bunch. We often get some to take home. The Papas Rellenas is so good and so nicely priced. It is two mashed potato balls stuffed with Cuban picadillo, then breaded and fried to perfection. I love potatoes so I love to get this. We also take these home. They heat up so well. The service is great and they are very friendly. Parking is easy and there is not usually a wait. I am not sure if they take reservations, so call them and check. The place is comfortable and pretty.

I've tried almost everything on their menu and was never able to find something i ordered enjoyable. It's just not for me. This visit I ordered their Lomo Salteado and the meat was extremely rubbery and unpleasant. My daughter ordered their chicken empanadas and it was a hard no for her too. When we were ready to close out, I asked the waiter as he was clearing some things on our table, if he could bring some to-go boxes when he had a moment for things we didn't finish so we could take them home. He had a butter knife in his hands and threw it onto the table. Rough day I guess. I personally would not come here myself, but continue to do so for my wife. Will update my review when I visit again. Until next time. . .

We ordered a cafe con leche, iced hot coco, a variety of empanadas, lechon fries, a side of plantains, and their signature Cuban sandwich, and every single bite was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made to order. The service was beyond excellent. Denise, the owner, was incredibly kind and made the experience extra special for our family. Her husband is the talented cook. She even took the time to teach my daughter how to make Cuban coffee, which made the visit so memorable. I'm so glad we found this place. If you're craving authentic, fresh Cuban food, this is it. This was my third time here and I had the 'El Dorado' - Sea Bass, which was fantastic. I live about 30 minutes away (...depending on 101 traffic....) and the food is easily worth the trip. Cafecito offers a very original take on a Cuban-Chicago style restaurant with a dash of California style. My wife had the Milenasa pressed sandwich which was made to perfection. Be aware of the cooler with the assorted pieces of dessert... it gets me everytime... I tried the Tres Leches and ended up eating the whole thing.. During our visit, there was a customer that came in with a 'to-go' order that she had placed and wasn't happy with it. She stormed in and interrupted two guests that were in the middle of placing an order at the counter. The manager stayed professional and kindly asked her to lower her voice and that he would address her once the couple finished placing their order. Once the couple left, the angry customer (gen z/young adult) started berating him about the meal and lack of customer service. The manager stayed calm and collective offered her a full refund as well as a re-cooked meal that she ordered earlier. However, this wasn't enough for her, she wanted blood. The manager kept composure, realized he was in a lose-lose situation, and calmly told her she needed to leave, which she complied. The manager was being rage baited and he handled it like a pro! This is a small 'mom and pop' shop pushing to make it in the tough climate of Calabasas. They are unique and treasure quality. This place is a true gem and I look forward to their growing ambitions!

The only thing good that could be considered Cuban was the cafe con Leche, because the basic coffee was also not good. Atmosphere: the only other thing that was Cuban was the background music, which was great! Service: our waitress was very nice, friendly.
