I thought they were a reputable company but I should have known better when the only payment method they took was apple gift cards. They used a shipping company that would not process my shipment until I paid three hundred dollars for an insurance fee which they said was refundable upon delivery. The insurance fee was never mentioned by axolotl planet. Neither company seemed trustworthy. Even the shipping company only took apple gift cards. Great place to ask adopt your own Axolotl! They also have an online set up as well. No entrance fee and typically, no need for appointment! You can walk right in. They also sell equipment to set up your own tank the moment you adopt one. read more

Don't waste your time. These are the most horrible people I've ever purchased anything from. They do not answer emails they do not answer their phone and they do not ship things on time. I purchased one on Friday March 6 2026 after carefully reading their shipping policy which states Monday before 12:00 will be shipped out same day.. Monday after 12:00 will be shipped out the following Monday. I purchased mine Friday which is way before Monday at 12:00 I paid $54 for overnight shipping it is Wednesday March 11th 2026 and I still have not received a package I still have not received an update I still have not received a response to my emails and their store is apparently closed until Friday which is another unacceptable factor to this even if you are closed you need to have a way for someone to contact you especially in regards to a live animal delivery. This whole experience is absolutely unacceptable I will never purchase anything from them again and that's assuming I even get what I already purchased in my opinion I should get the animal and a full refund and have them call my child and explain to him why he doesn't have his axolotl. I reach out to FedEx and it's continually in the same status that is shipping label has been created which is basically telling me that it's not even in the mail yet this is so unacceptably disgusting that I can't even wrap my mind around how these people can even be in business even have one good review of any kind because they are pathetic absolutely pathetic I personally hope they go out of business cuz they do not deserve to continue selling animals especially live animals. read more

I tried reaching out to Axolotl Planet multiple times and they didn't even bother to respond. For the amount of money I paid and how they advertise the best quality pets I would expected a lot more. Customer service. We ordered an axolotl two days after Christmas on Friday. A shipping label was created but on the following Monday when it said they shipped there was no notification of shipment. I tried calling and their number went straight to voicemail and the mailbox was full. Their website and Google showed they were open. This continued all of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday was new years. Tried again on Thursday and again the calls went straight to voicemail and the mailbox was full. I was finally able to reach someone on Friday. I first asked if they were having phone issues and explained the inability to reach anyone all week. The employee or manager/owner didn't seem to care. I then asked about the delay is shipping or Axolotl and he directed me to read their shipping policy even though our Axolotl wasn't shipped on the following Monday as their website stated was their shipping day. I explained that the Axolotl wasn't shipped a Christmas gift for our 8 year old son and asked if there was anyway to get a photo of his Axolotl to in some way make up for the shipping delay and he refused saying they were extremely busy. My final question was one my wife and son had regarding how the Axolotl was being shipped, packaging and labels etc. he was very short and seemed annoyed with my question. Our Axolotl wasn't shipped until the following week. Almost 10 days after we ordered it. Thankfully it arrived intact and alive. I would work on your customer service and work on answering your phone. read more

I first one to say that the store is great & there is a wide selection of axoltl. Drew was very helpful plus has so much knowledge about Axolotls. His son was very helpful too & was working hard to assist with any questions we needed to ask. I would highly recommend anyone to stop in to meet these guys. This place is AWESOME. I highly recommend it! A friend's sons saw something about it on youtube so when they came to visit we came to check it out. We were all so impressed with the owners knowledge, story about how he started, and the clean tanks full of adorable axolotls. If you want an axolotl but aren't sure how to care for it or what you need this is a one stop shop with a knowledgeable person willing to tell you all you need to know! We bought some cute plushies and will be back for an axolotl or two in the near future I am sure. read more
