Can't say enough great things about the space. The facility itself is impeccably clean and there…read moreis such a variety of tools and equipment to keep the workouts varied and make recovery a priority instead of an after thought. The crew at RSTR offers something different than other group fitness classes: 30 minutes of high intensity strength OR endurance focused programming. After taking the Endurance 30 this morning, I definitely felt cardiovascularly challenged. None of the individual components of the work out were to extreme, but the combination of movements and the ability to modify and determine your own intensity made it an incredibly challenging circuit. Another strength of this location is the attention to total body wellness. As part of the intro package, there was an in depth initial assessment, including an InBody scan to breakdown the specifics of the number on the scale. The patience to work through each component of the scan, break down what the metrics mean, and establish goals of where the numbers would ideally be in 3, 6, 9, 12 months was unexpected and fully appreciated. In reality, the South Loop is a gym / fitness facility heavy area but RSTR really differentiates itself through its focus on mindfulness, wellness, fitness, and balance. From nutrition programs, to varied and diverse workouts, to pre-workout stretching, and post-workout aftercare, this is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. It's approachable group fitness with unique, individualized, data driven metrics to measure your progress in a real way.

They have a great recovery area with sauna, cold plunge, and massage guns. There is also an open gym area with cardio machines and free weights. The classes were energetic and packed with a variety of different movements. I do wish classes were longer than 30 minutes though.

From the moment you walk in, it's clear they've thought through every detail. Their pricing is surprisingly competitive, especially if you're looking for an unlimited membership. Considering everything that's included, it's one of the best values I've found in boutique fitness. The facilities are exceptional. Yoga mats, towels, and cycling shoes are all provided at no additional cost, which makes showing up for class effortless. The studio is always clean, modern, and well maintained, creating an environment where you can focus entirely on your workout. What truly makes Studio Three stand out is the incredible team of instructors. Sayre, Stu, Katie Lee, Danielle, and Jacqueline consistently deliver challenging, motivating, and thoughtfully programmed classes. Every coach brings a unique style, but they all share the ability to push you while making every workout enjoyable. Let's also not forget the studio management team, Julia, and the amazing front desk associates. Emily always remembers me when I visit, and she truly makes everyone feel at home. After visiting boutique fitness studios across the country for the last decade, I can honestly say Studio Three has set the standard. Between the outstanding instructors, beautiful facilities, convenient amenities, and excellent membership options, it's an easy five-star experience. I recommend it to anyone looking for the best fitness studio in Chicago.

I had no other choice but to change gyms due to my gym closing - so I picked the best (and closest...right across the street) one I could. I couldn't be happier with my choice. The coaches are phenomenal. The programming is amazing. The classes are fun and full. The athletes are super friendly. There are a lot of strong athletes here, so if you're motivated by wanting to be as good as them, it'll definitely help your mental game (and hopefully physical gainzzzz). SLSC is super clean. They have TONS of equipment (stuff that I didn't even know existed). I'm pretty in love with this place and I'm glad I made the switch.

The brick style building, street parking, industrial vibe just puts you in the mood to lift heavy stuff! This is a true strength and conditioning box, and the CrossFit programming was on point! I found it super easy to sign my waiver and pay for my drop in ahead of time through their website. When I walked in, I was immediately welcomed by the staff and other athletes. I also received some great coaching cues from the various coaches who ran the classes over my 2 days dropping in. Get this, they also have open workouts for traveling drop ins.. score! Can't recommend this place enough for drop ins, or local athletes looking to take their strength and fitness to the next level!

I've been going to SWEAT for ~2 years and have had an unlimited membership for ~1 year, so to put…read moreit lightly I am addicted :) A few things I love about SWEAT: - The days rotate muscle groups, which makes it possible to go all the time - While you know what muscle group is the focus, the actual formats, exercises, and classes are ALWAYS different, which keeps it interesting - The teachers are great and many get to learn your name, which keeps me motivated (Jeremy knows how to push me on the skis!!) - It's a great mix of cardio and strength movements, especially if you go regularly (e.g. Fridays are very heavy on cardio, Thursdays are heavy on strength) - I have personally seen incredible results and was so happy with how I looked for my wedding after ~4 months of going to SWEAT 6ish days a week My only request would be to add a recovery / stretching class into the mix. It was offered at one point but would love to see it back. I try to throw a yoga class into my routine every 2 weeks or so but it would be nice to get more stretching and such in at SWEAT.

I've recently started getting back into fitness and working out, and was looking to tryout a few…read moreclasses before I commit to anything. SWEAT was offering a 7 day free trial for new customers which I found very helpful. They have a range of classes that target specific body parts, like the Arms & Core workout or the Butt and Legs workout. They offer classes almost every part of the day including before and after work hours. I even saw a few classes that start at around 5:30am. They have two different and convenient locations around the city and I believe you can attend classes in both location if you are a member, but I'd call and ask just to double check. My first time was at the Gold Coast location. It was a little confusing to get to at first, but when I saw a bunch of people in sweats and gym bags going down to a basement, I was able to finally locate the studio. There is no front desk or anyone to greet you upon entry. I had no idea where to go or where to place my bag. I had to ask a few people before a nice lady that's a member there helped me out. There are OPEN lockers right outside the studio (and yes there's only one studio), so I wouldn't bring anything valuable just in case. They offer free towels and you can just dump them into a laundry basket when you're done. The studio itself is large and can fit about 25-30 people comfortably. It has weights, treadmills and a bunch of other workout gear that are used during certain classes. Now here's the deal - These classes are not easy pace. They go quick and it's up to you to catch up. The instructors will try their best to help you out, however, they have an entire class to attend to, so sometimes you won't be able to get the help you need. I am not a very active person, so I was not able to catch up AT ALL during the Arms & Core workout class. It seems like classes are very advanced and target people that have already been on the workout train for years. As for someone who is just getting back on track, these classes are not for you. On the bright side, they do offer personal training, so I might be looking into that. FYI - the only contact you can have with a representative is through phone or email. I was very interested in these classes before I actually tried them out, and when I expressed that to the representative through email, I was automatically charged for a membership right after the 7 day free trial ended. I was able to get a refund though, but I was a little upset that my card was charged without my permission.

When I first tried the workout I was intrigued by the soft surface, because I'd never experience running like that. You actually hook into the machine with a Velcro strap that you wrap around your waist and fall forward! The machine has TRX straps on the sides and can be used to do a variety of strength and core building exercises. As a former OrangeTheory member, I was use to the High Intensity Interval Training portion of the class, but the machine itself was very unique. It has an air cushion that you can adjust to increase the difficult of your workout! They have a heart rate monitor system that shows you the results of your workout much like OrangeTheory but overall the workout is really amazing! It is definitely intense! I recently tried their beach surface which allowed me to burn over 800 calories and really challenged me to utilize muscles in my legs, calves and feet that I don't often use during regular workouts. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming! I would definitely recommend Sproing to anyone looking for a quality low impact muscle taxing workout that will leave you feeling energized and invigorated! We've both been on an exercise kick recently and she ensured me that Sproing was an excellent workout. During the first of my two workouts of the weekend, I found myself trying to adjust to the machine. It's a cross between a treadmill and a mattress. While the floor of the machine took a little getting used to, I was also facing backwards and strapped in, which made the whole thing a little odd at first. We sprinted, worked our core, did pushups, and used weights. It was a good, high impact workout that centered around interval training. Once I had a feel for the place, my second workout was even better. Cullen was an awesome instructor and he really kept us motivated, encouraging us to push ourselves until the last second. We could see if we were heeding to his advice by watching the big screens in the studio that showed us in real time how we were doing, based on our heart rate monitors. I got a great sweat in over that weekend thanks to the instructors and I found the desk staff to be very welcoming and helpful. The space is clean and new, the bathrooms are spotless and very "homey", and the equipment is sanitized regularly. This is a unique workout for sure and it can be tailored to your fitness level. Try it out if you have time.
