I just moved back to LA after a decade of being up in Seattle, and was bummed that I had to leave my local banner supplier behind--I'm so thrilled to have found Axiom right down the street in Glendale, and have had a fantastic experience working with them! I needed a 4x6' banner for an upcoming convention, with a pretty tight turnaround; Axiom was quick to communicate, had an amazing price point, and were more than capable of accommodating my date for pick-up. My banner ended up being available two days ahead of time, and the print quality was fantastic--I also really appreciated the attention detail like using different grommet colors throughout the banner (depending on the underlying art), which was something I never would have thought to ask for. Axiom Designs and Printing in Glendale, CA, were GREAT to work with. I got several quotes from all over Los Angeles, and only these people had EXACTLY what I wanted (gold foil vinyl die cut sign printing), for an AMAZINGLY LOW PRICE. On top of that, these people truly DO RIGHT by the customer. Other places either simply didn't have what I wanted (no die cut, no gold...), or they charged a huge premium for the gold vinyl, AND a hefty price for installation (all of which I totally understand). Even with the minor issues that can come up with our somewhat complicated and very particular order, they were very responsive and resolved issues quickly and satisfactorily. All I had to do was give them a call. After we received our order we were instructed on how to install. I decided to ask for a quote on installation, and their bid was VERY, VERY AFFORDABLE, so we went for it! The installers were quick, professional, friendly and accommodating to our specific requests, and fixed things we wanted adjusted. (They contracted out the installers, but these guys were good -- I think a father and son.) I visited their location a couple of times and their staff was friendly and did extra things I needed on short notice. If you're a picky customer, but want a really low price, I strongly recommend these guys, but make sure you watch over the project, because like I said these guys are affordable and accommodating. Every project has unexpected problems come up, so if you are a perfectionist then you should let them know you want to be involved, and maybe even offer to pay them extra for the time and trouble. Because these guys do great work for the price, and have a positive attitude about it. They do not try to burn the customer whatsoever. Very honest and worthy of your business. And oh my gosh, the results are awesome. Love that gold lettering, just classy. read more

Forget about trying to get a hold of them. That is nearly impossible. I emailed them a request for work needed to be done. I get a response 24 hours later from the coordinator. The coordinator then copies in someone else who will be answering my question and giving out a quote. I do not hear back from that person. I had to call myself and email myself to get a basic response that was not helpful. My point is that the email they have on the website is pretty much useless if you want to get any service. Just to get started on any work seems like you have to go through 2-3 people to just get an answer. Wasted 3 days to go nowhere. I just gave up with them and went somewhere else that completed my project same day. If you want to not go through stress and know your project is getting completed timely go somewhere else. read more

I used to love this print shop! They do really great work, but their communication/customer service/accountability is so disappointing. My last three projects have been printed incorrectly and past my confirmed deadlines. Today, for example, I went to pick up a second pass of vinyls for my brother's wedding (as the first were printed incorrectly even though I have a confirmation/invoice for what I ordered...) and they were not ready as promised. I was told they would be ready by noon (instead of 9am when I arrived) and they offered to deliver them which was kind. But no apology, no offer for a discount for a future service, no taking responsibility. The employee just said "at least it isn't your wedding!" This is my 3rd order in a row this has happened for. Something printed incorrectly, days later I go to pick up the revision, it isn't ready. Less important but also sort of annoying, is every time I go into Axiom there is no one at the front desk and I always have to awkwardly peek into the back office to ask for assistance. Everyone always seems annoyed? Just put a bell out there! Or really anything. Also they NEVER respond to e-mails, it's brutal. For a business run via computer, I'll never understand why I have to call so often. If you do end up using their services, maybe request not to work with Dave? That might have been the issue. Anyway, I'm switching printers. I've spent thousands here but I'm done. ***UPDATE*** THEY LITERALLY GOT IT WRONG AGAIN. ANOTHER WRONG REVISION. THEY PRINTED ON THE WRONG COLOR AFTER I CONFIRMED. I was looking to use them for my new company but unfortunately discovered they have majorly declined in quality of service. Communication has become poor and when I was finally able to get something printed it was done completely wrong. Super bummed to see this place lose their quality of service. I hired Axiom Designs and Printing to install a vinyl mural on the wall of our company building. I got communication from them almost immediately and they had a lower quote than any of their competitors. So, we decided to go with them. Although this review is 5 Stars, there were some bumps in the road, and that may be the exact reason this review IS 5 Stars. There was quite a mix up on the installation due to miscommunication. (Not just a small mix up, a pretty oh-my-god-how-is-this-even-possible-mixup) We weren't happy about that and decided to find another installer. HOWEVER, the fantastic customer service of Axiom took charge and completely fixed everything. I spoke with a wonderful woman name Arsine (apologies for any misspelling), who informed me that this was NOT what their company stands for and insisted that they repair the issue. Despite me denying her and stating that we wished to work with another company, Arsine insisted and showed that integrity is an integral part of their company. She told me that Axiom would take full responsibility for the issue and that someone would be out to fix the problem that same day! I was very impressed by her conviction and confidence in her team. Not only did they come out and immediately fix the problem, they also printed an enlarged version of our mural, almost double the size, free of charge. If this is not stellar customer service and going above and beyond, I don't know what is. The end result was a fantastic mural that looks excellent. I'd 100% recommend this company for not only their printing and installation but their customer service. If we ever need anything like this again, we'll be contacting Axiom. read more

This was my second experience with Axiom, and it will be my last regrettably. I called on February 19th to have a 32" by 40" inch poster made for a conference. I was told that Tuesday, February 24th was the earliest they could finish the order. I needed to catch my flight to the conference Tuesday night, so the Tuesday deadline was cutting it close. I impressed upon the staff that the Tuesday deadline is fine as long as I could pick up the poster in the morning at 9am before I head to work. The store, according to the website, opens at 9am. On Monday, I called to ensure that my poster would be ready for pickup Tuesday morning. They confirmed that it would be ready and I could pick it up at 9am on Tuesday. On Tuesday at 9am, the store was closed. I knocked on the door. Nobody opened. I called the store number and the manager picked it up in with a groggy voice. Obviously, he was still sleeping.He said he would be there in 5 minutes. He wasn't there in 5 minutes. It took him 10-15 minutes to get to the store. Then I had to wait for him to open the store, get his computer ready, pull up my invoice, and charge my credit card. Never did he apologize for being late. If you claim to open at 9am, you should be open at 9am. If you can't open at 9am, then don't advertise on your website that you open at 9am. Otherwise, it's false advertising. If Axiom had apologized and admitted fault, I would would forgiven the fiasco. But there was no apology. Taking my business elsewhere. ------UPDATE------------- The manager sent me a rude email to my personal email account after seeing my Yelp review. Now I wish I could give this place 0 stars! Instead of apologizing for failing to fulfill his promise to me, he said that he had "no words" in response to my Yelp review. What about "sorry for failing to show up at 9am when I told you I would be there?" Note: There is no apology from the owner in his comment below. read more

That same afternoon I placed an order for 500 printed 6x4 postcards w/ glossy finish. The price came up to $55.
