I feel like the game masters can make or break an experience. The room was awesome. Very well decorated, good ambience for the type of game we were playing. We needed quite a few hints to get going, which is completely fine. It was difficult to tell when a door or cabinet or drawer unlocked and opened because you couldn't hear it. It was a tough game but we love a good challenge. We did not escape this game but it would have been nice to have been greeted afterward to say "good job," but we were met with the same Young lady opening the door, without a word, we left. Id recommend giving the players an idea of how they might be successful next time or at least telling them thank you or have a good night. I also think asking if people would like a picture at the end of their game would be awesome. Overall it was a little disappointing because the rooms themselves were awesome.

**Disappointing Experience - Poor Puzzle Mechanics**…read more We recently completed the Harry Potter-themed escape room and were very disappointed. While we enjoy a challenging escape room, the biggest issue was that solving the puzzles didn't consistently trigger the sensors to move the game forward. Several times, we had the correct solution, but the room wouldn't register it unless we positioned pieces in a very specific way--such as ensuring a light blinked only once or flipping objects precisely to trigger a magnet. Instead of rewarding problem-solving, it felt like we were fighting with the mechanics of the room. An escape room should challenge players intellectually, not frustrate them with overly finicky sensors. If you solve a puzzle correctly, it should work--without having to repeatedly reposition items in hopes of triggering the lock. Unfortunately, this made the experience more tedious than fun. We wouldn't recommend this room unless the company improves its puzzle mechanics.

We started throwing in leagues here at end of 2022 and have been enjoying it since. There's bowling football (kinda), darts, and occasionally corn hole. In the summer, there's food trucks and a restaurant has opened at the end of the parking lot. The drink variety is pretty great with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages along with snacks. You get coaching when you go in for a group to help you learn how to throw and get to play a variety of games. If you have enough time, you can try throwing the big axe. What I like most about Urban is that the employees are super welcoming and the axe community is too if you decide to join a league. You can learn to tweak your throw from a variety of different people and hone in on your technique. You don't feel bad when you're first not great at throwing since so many people want to help. There are various groups that host fundraising events and charities that collaborate like BARCS and Baltimore Humane Society. Give Urban a try!

I'd never thrown axes before but had some time to burn before dinner so gave it a try. You sign up for different increments of time; I got 30 minutes. Several lanes are available. Think of it like a short bowling alley - but with axes. As it was my first time I received a lot of mentorship. Turns out I was throwing too hard, so the axe handle kept hitting first. But when I loosened up I was hitting near the bullseye fairly consistently. Obviously - sharp weapons and alcohol go together, so there is bar stacked with craft beer. Noshes are also available although I didn't try that. My favorite setting was the one where you throw against projections of zombie heads. After I found that one, I basically stopped looking at other options...because why would you? We found our joint booth spacious, as were the other booths at this location. The entire facility was well thought-out for maximum occupancy while keeping patrons completely safe. While there were other other games available to play (cornhole, jenga, etc) we didn't stay long enough to play them. We DID have a great time and will definitely be back to perfect our skills! Another plus: you are allowed to bring your own food and beverages, alcohol included! They do have a limited choice of sodas & water for purchase, as well.
