I love this place. The people here are friendly and down to earth. I brought my trumpet in for repair, and they didn't beat me up on pricing. I heard they also bought instruments, so I brought my old strat up to sell. They didn't offer me quite as much as I wanted, so they offered me to leave it up there as a consignment. (Where they advertise my instrument for my asking price on their salesfloor and they take a small percentage) I got a call just 3 days later saying that it sold for $45 more than I was asking. I live in Forney driving to Terrell vs going to Mesquite or Dallas for musical instruments or supplies is a no brainer. Awards Music has a pleasant staff willing to help you out with your musical needs. My son and I are guitar players we have four guitars one bass and three amps I would trust them to repair any of my equipment. I buy my guitar strings, sound pedals, tuners etc etc etc there. These guys are very helpful, and affordable when it comes to band instrument repair. Much more affordable than others. Their band instrument rental prices are extremely fair. I certainly wouldn't want to drive into Dallas to MAYBE find a slightly better price. The repair technicians definitely know what they are doing. As a band director/music teacher with public school band program experience, I have no problem recommending them. I like supporting local, family owned businesses instead of huge corporate chains.
