I am a bit shocked tonight to write this post... But this was the worst experience I have had at this Cracker Barrel or any Cracker Barrel in a long time maybe ever. The food was not on, and the service was not on. Sometimes you experience a little blip in one or the other area, but rarely both and not usually spectacularly poor in both ways. Blah and bland would be great terms to use. Just downright blah. And disappointing. To top it off, I purchased meals using my app or at least my rewards information. It appears that none of that information has been loaded onto my app, despite having purchased the meals to the tune of 800+ dollars 4+ days ago. When I inquired as a store, what could be done pretty much there were shoulder shrugs. I could've asked for a manager and maybe I should have just didn't have it in me to fiddle with it tonight. The follow up - aka, the next day... I picked up 47 take away meals and was pleased with the service and the food, etc. I am grateful they were there and open to help take care of us for dinner on Thanksgiving day. Upon getting to the drive-thru window, an employee by the name of "Bailey" incorrectly charged us for three slices instead of one. No biggie, right? They can just apologize, correct the mistake, and refund us, right?Wrong. When we pointed out that we had only ordered one slice, Bailey processed the refund but did not apologize or explain when the money would be returned to our card (we had to ask). When I asked for a receipt and expressed my concern about the way the situation was being handled, she became dismissive & told us the manager would not be available until the following week. Upon driving out, the interaction felt so rude and rushed that we decided to drive back around and ask to speak with a supervisor. Interestingly enough, the manager was there where we were able to speak to, Justin Wilbanks, despite previously being told that no manager was available. I explained that my concern was not the mistaken charge itself. Mistakes happen! My concern was the lack of professionalism, communication, and even a simple apology after the mistake was pointed out. Instead of addressing that, my concerns were dismissed, and I was essentially told that SHE should be more "forgiving" toward us. At that point, the behavior and treatment led me to ASK--not accuse--whether racism had anything to do with the way we were being treated, considering that we were two young Black women. And as you can hear that wasn't even denied..I left feeling disrespected and uncomfortable with the interaction, and I felt that race may have played a role in how our concerns were handled. But--This is 2026 in America...I'm not even surprised LOL. What a JOKE. The video was the manager's response to the situation... because honestly, the way he defended the employee and dismissed our concerns so strongly, you would've thought she was his wife. Again, the incorrect charge wasn't the issue--it was how the situation was handled afterward, which ultimately ended with both the employee and manager slamming the drive-thru window in our faces without an apology.
