Dan was a great resource and very communicative with any hip cup that came up which was very appreciative. It's definitely a repeat and the conviene of picking where you get picked up and returned can't be beat. All the ladies had an amazing time and had zero complaints.

I spoke to DAN he's the coordinator and we had TWO winery's to go and tour well there as issues with one of them which was fine THE ISSUE WAS we paid for two and the one we went to GAVE NO TOUR, no ONE WALKED US THROUGH, no one was available to even tell us what we were drinking... we had one of our friends pretend to be the host .. what Dan "coordinated" with me was the complete opposite. And when I reached out to him he said he "COULDNT SPEAK TO ME ABOUT REFUNDS" the ONLY GOOD THING WAS THE PARTY BUS AND THEN I FOUND OUT THAT ITS A SEPARATE COMPANY GO FIGURE!!( J&A party bus)I would suggest you look elsewhere where for a tour. DONT FEEL SCAMMED LIKE ME . He said his company/his partner strive for great customer service... that's a joke! I tried calling their office NO ANSWER... Dan said that his partners number and he was on vacation.. over 2000.00 spent and it was the shittiest service ever.. I'll tell you what Dan you should focus more on your customer service rather that coordination. Here's some photos of the lunch boxes and bbq sauce cups you will get as your wine tester ... spend your 2000 else where!

City Winery is a great venue that showcases great talent with great staff, however, there are a few tips & tricks you must be prepared for to fully enjoy your experience. 1. Come early. Seating is somewhat first come, first serve. My most recent experience was at the sold out show for Teedra Moses. My tickets were purchased off a waitlist, therefore my original seat was at a high top located against the wall, with another couple. It was not comfortable at all. I politely asked our server for another seating option which she hesitantly obliged given our early arrival. I also purchased a bottle of wine, which our server was not aware of. Being early allowed us to place our order and hash this out without disruption to the show. 2. You will be sat with another party unless you come with a party of 4 or more. 3. I typically dine elsewhere prior to or after the show. The menu is not heavy, plus it is challenging to enjoy the show while eating. All in City Winery is spectacular for what it is. The main takeaway is to plan ahead.

It sets the tone for what you expect to be a really special dining experience. The food, for the most part, absolutely delivered. Everything we tried was incredibly flavorful, well-presented, and clearly made with care. There was one small hiccup--one of our appetizers came out a bit cold--but it didn't take away too much from the overall quality. Aside from that, every dish was genuinely impressive. What really stood out, though, was the service. Our server was absolutely amazing--attentive, kind, and on top of everything without ever feeling overbearing. They truly attended to our every need and made the experience feel seamless and enjoyable from start to finish. The drinks, however, were a letdown. For a place at this price point, you expect cocktails to match the level of the food and ambiance, but they just didn't. After trying two of their specialty cocktails, I wasn't impressed. I'll definitely be coming back for buisness dinners !

Nearby is a park that has a decorated tree during the holiday season. It is a spacious restaurant for NYC standards. The dining room opens at 5:30, so when I arrived early at 5:15, I was encouraged to wait at the bar, as they couldn't escort me to the table yet. I ordered a cocktail that tasted like a Negroni with Laphroaig. $22. It was served in a brandy snifter looking glass so I could really smell the peatiness. I like the high ceilings and spacious footprint. The front tavern leads into the main dining room in the rear left. However, the restaurant is very loud. Odd for it to be this loud at 5:30 pm on a Tuesday. I guess the happy hour customers make a lot of noise. It seemed like a lot of corporate people were there. The food and service were okay. I get the sense that they are understaffed. Amish chicken ($42): I was disappointed to find my dish was served at lukewarm temperature. It was not hot or even warm in the middle. I have a feeling it was sitting for a while. I have never paid a higher price anywhere for a chicken entree. The desserts took forever to arrive - like well over a half hour after I finished my entree and had it cleared from the table. My server assured me that they had the desserts going, so I thought it would only be a little while longer. I knew the souffle required 15 minutes to cook, but I told them at the outset what the order was, so I assumed they timed everything to be ready right when I finished the entree. I don't understand why they couldn't just prepare everything to arrive at once. Chocolate souffle ($17): it was crispy and soft, so the texture was good, but it was quite bland in flavor. Rum butterscotch bread pudding ($15): The thickness of the pudding was not sufficient. Not nearly enough butterscotch flavor. The sauce was thin. The pudding was way too hot to eat. The ice cream had some ice crystals in it. Fairly disappointing, overall.

Wine Classes!…read more Squabbie and I took our first wine class at NYC Wine Class. We enrolled in their introductory to wine course, Wine 101. Andrew Harwood (the founder) was our instructor. He's had experience cultivating wine graps in Hungary, France, and California, to name a few places. He was quite informative and helpful. On top of our dessert wine, we had full glasses of 10 different types of wine. The grape variety for the wines included Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, & Malbek. The wine regions included Oregon, California, Argentina, Italy, and France. The prices of the bottles and their Wine Spectator ratings aren't revealed until after the wines are tasted, as to not provide a bias. There are five rounds of wines pairings, accompanied by a type of cheese. The wine pairings are selected to distinguish the contrasting tastes (e.g. comparison of regions, comparison of vineyard processing, or comparison of grape varieties). The class was a great introduction, and has whetted my desire to learn more about wines. If taken individually, the class would have cost $90, but Squabbie purchased the $275 four class promo package (good for 2 years and splitable amongst friends). I HIGHLY recommend this package (http://www.nycwineclass.com/wine_classes.php#256). I delayed taking this for half a year, I can't believe I waited so long! I can't wait for my next class.
