I walk in and the person was at the register gave no greeting, which normally is fine people don't have to do it even though I'm the only person in the store. I walked up to them and asked if they had that wine showed them the picture and he just blatantly looked at me and said no I said ok and then awkwardly walked out. I was clearly being profiled, even though I've lived in this area for four years and again have been here before and somebody was kind and did help me. I don't know if it was the specific employee, but I would just rather take my money elsewhere.

86 Street Wine and Liquor…read more The young lady behind the counter was very kind with me being ignorant about alcoholic beverages. I was on a mission for a friend. He gave me the money for a small bottle of scotch. He said it would be about $4.00. After the nice employee explained the difference between scotch and whiskey and price checked several bottles, I decided to get him the $4 bottle of Maker's Mark. The Rebel Yell was from Kentucky and only $2.50 but I figured he'd appreciate the more expensive labels! Besides it was his money! Bottom line is this is a great place to buy liquor especially wines. They have a huge selection. The employee is patient and friendly and glad to have an enthusiastic customer like me. It was a good experience. My friend said I made a good choice. I'll be glad to shop here for other elderly and disabled in the hood when they need a little liquor pick me up!

From kayaking on an amazing piece of private property in the summer to camping in the dead of winter, you're sure to both have a great time and feel like a bad ass survivalist. WR really shows that they value your time by giving you an incredible outdoor experience AND by leaving on time (unlike other outfitters where you lose an hour to waiting for those ppl that show up late and don't even apologize). The lesson here is to respect your fellow enthusiasts and get your ass there on time (note; on time does not mean 5 minutes late or ten minutes late or arriving and needing to go to the store; it means ... wait for it ... wait for it ... arriving on time). I'm hooked, the friends and family I've referred are hooked. I'll book trips with Joe again and again and again. Colorado 2013!! Can't wait.

Joe was a great guide, Missy (his wife, who I think…read moregoes on the hikes as long as there is space in the van) was nice, and Chief (their dog) was adorable. The hike was ~5 miles and was at a good pace with stops along with the way at scenic spots or for Joe to point things out to us, i.e. wildlife, flora, fauna. We stopped for lunch for ~45 min. and had a campfire. Joe was a knowledgeable guide and obviously loves the outdoors and sharing it with others. Missy was also great and pleasant to talk to. Great way to spend a day out of the city. It was a relatively small group of ~8 people but perhaps that was just luck (I've gone on other day trips with other outfits, where the group was much larger ~12 people). Group was somewhat friendly, though people seemed to keep to themselves more so than I found on other day trips (maybe that's also just one off for this trip too though). I understand the unsatisfactory review someone posted on slow response/organization, but I guess that just has to do with the fact that this is a small outfit (just Joe) and not a big company with a larger infrastructure in place. That also limits the number/variety/intensity of hikes that can be offered, as the selection here is smaller than can be found elsewhere. In fact, I was unsure heading into the trip but all said, I'd go on another hike with these guys without any hesitation and likely will do so when I can find the time.

I spoke to DAN he's the coordinator and we had TWO winery's to go and tour well there as issues with one of them which was fine THE ISSUE WAS we paid for two and the one we went to GAVE NO TOUR, no ONE WALKED US THROUGH, no one was available to even tell us what we were drinking... we had one of our friends pretend to be the host .. what Dan "coordinated" with me was the complete opposite. And when I reached out to him he said he "COULDNT SPEAK TO ME ABOUT REFUNDS" the ONLY GOOD THING WAS THE PARTY BUS AND THEN I FOUND OUT THAT ITS A SEPARATE COMPANY GO FIGURE!!( J&A party bus)I would suggest you look elsewhere where for a tour. DONT FEEL SCAMMED LIKE ME . He said his company/his partner strive for great customer service... that's a joke! I tried calling their office NO ANSWER... Dan said that his partners number and he was on vacation.. over 2000.00 spent and it was the shittiest service ever.. I'll tell you what Dan you should focus more on your customer service rather that coordination. Here's some photos of the lunch boxes and bbq sauce cups you will get as your wine tester ... spend your 2000 else where!

Excluding me and the driver, there were about 10 passengers. I had two seats to myself. And speaking of seats, they were very comfortable. There was decent legroom (I'm 6'1"). Initially, I couldn't find the outlet. I eventually discovered that it' was hidden under the seat. And unlike the Hampton Jitney, the bus wasn't covered with a tacky looking wrapping. The bus left Manhattan at 1 PM. It was scheduled to arrive at Montauk at 4:15 PM. It arrived at 3:28. And with that said, the ride was far from perfect. The bus was as bumpy as a school bus. It was pure torture. The driver seemed like he didn't want to be bothered. He wasn't mean, just apathetic. Other than checking in people and announcing the stops in a soft voice, he said nothing. I paid $34 which is reasonable. The Luxury Liner doesn't run nearly as frequently as the Jitney or LIRR Montauk branch. Furthermore, you don't get the VIP treatment like on the Hampton Ambassador. If you're looking for a no frills experience and you don't care about comfort then the Luxury Liner is ideal.

I picked this place because I needed to send a birthday gift to a friend that lived nearby. The website to order from is super user friendly. I was very pleased with their selection and am completely understanding that not everything will be in stock due to the situation. They even had time slots for deliveries which was a huge plus. Once you complete your order you get text alerts which is super helpful.
