I was curious on getting the hot chocolate, but I thought that be too much with the toast. So I got a Karl the Fog latte instead. The toast was delicious! It was chocolatey, crunchy, and not too sweet with a rich nuttiness from the pistachios. The strawberries added a nice freshness. It's definitely worth getting. I'll have to get the hot chocolate next. Their FiDi location Karl the Fog tea latte was yummy. It had the flavors of the earl grey with the frothiness from the foam. Service was good. Grabbed an avocado smoothie here on a weekday since it's conveniently in FiDi. I'm not a fan of ginger but I asked the cashier if you can taste it or not and he said not really so I didn't ask to exclude it. Smoothie was ready within 5 minutes of ordering since it wasn't too busy the time I went. I'm used to the avocado smoothies found at boba shops and Asian restaurants so I was thinking this might be similar. Upon getting the drink, I noticed that the ingredients that were included in it were visible -- spinach leaves, ginger pieces, etc. -- and after taking a sip, I could literally taste and feel the individual ingredients. A huge clean and new space with plenty of natural light - great for getting some work done while eating. I ordered at the kiosk which seems to be the most efficient way. Tried the lavender cold foam matcha ($7)and a salmon avo toast ($16.95) with a poached egg (+$3) on top. The quality is there - the toast is on a hearty bread, the avo spread had a bit too much acidity but they weren't stingy with it. Could have used a bit more salmon but overall a solid breakfast toast. The only issue I had was the poached egg was basically the same texture as a hard boiled egg which is also a menu offering. The yolk was fully set so no runny bits at all which was slightly disappointing so maybe I'll try the mozzarella balls as an add on next time instead. Service is nice and pretty fast considering they have only one person to assemble each toast by hand. I will definitely be coming back. Quality is high and commensurate with the price. read more

Came to try the viral Pumpkin spice chai latte that comes in a pumpkin! I saw it last year and had been meaning to try it. I had also been meaning to try the avocado toast here too! It's in a great location right off of market street so it's easy to find whether walking, driving or taking Bart like we did! It's in a modern building and very clean with lots of seating. I loved how cool it was to get it inside of an actual pumpkin. Afterwards we put some napkins in it to soak any remaining liquid and took it along with us to the SFMoMA and then home. You can totally take it home and even carve it! I went on Thursday and it's still holding up strong! I will say though that it is quiet expensive at $25 for that drink. However it's nice you can take home the pumpkin too as home decor so that's a nice touch. The chai was good but not super flavorful, I do wish it had more flavor.
