Then found Thalia, and followed her to Miyu 2 in Goodyear, it's been a whole different vibe in the best way. I LOVE this place. It's honestly the only nail spot I recommend to my friends. Lynn gives amazing pedicures, and Thalia always gets my sets perfect every time. Retention is phenomenal, shape is perfect and if I get any rhinestones they rarely pop off. V RARE. Mickey, Bobby, Kay, and B are all super talented also. The owner is kind and you can tell they treat their workers well because they take pride in their salon. You really can't go wrong no matter who you book with. Their instagram shows everyone's work with their names which is super helpful when finding the perfect tech. I made a reservation on the website for a Saturday afternoon. I couldn't get to spots together so I called and the girl was so helpful with confirming we could go together. We arrived and got a free beverage which was yummy. I got a flavored tea. The prices are reasonable and cheaper than other salons. The salon is cute and super spacious with plenty of seats. My sister had a thing with her tech cause she didn't ask her which pedi package she wanted. The girl popped an attitude when my sister nicely asked her for the package she wanted. It was weird. I get so frustrated when massages aren't done properly or for the stated length of time. The menu says you get a 7 minute hot stone massage and mine was LITERALLY 45 seconds. I timed it. See photo attached. Like really? Plus the massages for lotion and sugar scrub were also less than 1 minute. We got mani's next and my girl was amazing. She is the manager of the store and so funny. I love how my nails turned out. I also asked for a mani and the dip but she explained they are not included which I learned! She asked how our pedis were and I was truthful. She apologized and ended up giving us a discount which was very sweet.

She asked me if I wanted gel and I said I didn't need gel. My sister told me to just do it so I told the girl I would do gel instead of basic nail polish. After a while, I realized she was doing the lotion and hot stone massage and I was like...I wanted to do the plus and she said no you said basic and I said you didn't even ask and she said your sister gave you the menu. I was like whatever I'll just do the standard. So she was like no I'll do it....The language barrier in nail salons is real frustrating. Also noticed in the plus pedicure it says 7 minute hot stone massage. Mine was less than a minute and my sister did the same pedicure and timed hers and it was 45 seconds. Don't advertise something that you are not going to include. My dip manicure was great. Maddie was very nice and did a good job with my basic dip until my nails grow out more. Very unfortunate having spent $150+ total on both hands and feet, and because I was a little skeptical about the liquid gel extension alternative the offered since they don't do gel-x. Also because the nail broke on the day before I left for my weeklong vacation. It didn't break from some sort of excess pressure or trauma to my finger, I just looked down and the whole tip was gone. I can see now that the layer of gel overlay on that nail is quite thin which is probably why.
