I was seated immediately, and my drink order placed (Cronin's 0.0). The server recommended the daily special, Pan Fried Sea Bass in spicy tomato butter sauce atop roasted fingerling potatoes topped with roasted cherry tomatoes. I ordered a dressed salad as well. The salad, replete with spring greens, julienne carrots and pecans, was attractive, but overdressed. Too much of the delicious dressing. It was probably my mistake of not knowing or asking what a dressed salad was. I would've ordered the dressing on the side. My entree was a feast for the eyes and tastebuds. I'd never seen cherry tomatoes roasted on their vine--very attractive! The spicy tomato butter sauce wasn't very spicy and it complemented the seared fish well. The servers checked in with me regularly, though not obtrusively. Glad that my Airbnb host recommended this restaurant, and now I do as well! Two thumbs up!

Only downside was the smokers right near the table, but that was intermittent. They do a Prix Fixe before 6:15 on weekends which is a good deal. Try this one!

We had lunch AND dinner here. This is what we ate: Oaty Berry Banana Smoothie Breakfast Burrito Nut Roast Wrap Vegetable puree soup (of the day) Americano Coffee Korma, served with veggie fried rice, roast potatoes, and green salad (this was the special of the day) Falafel Wrap Salad Plate (combo of prepared salads including pesto fusilli, carrot coconut slaw, beetroot, sesame noodles, bulgar couscous) Four desserts (two baked, two raw) We also ordered a second salad combo + a side of hummus to take home for the next day. The food was all very fresh, very nutritious, and very tasty. My 6yo loved the Korma and the Nut Roast wrap. My 4yo loved the hummus. My husband and I loved it all. Helen, the owner, was very kind and took excellent care of us. This is a special place, and a rare find outside of Dublin. For those looking for a really clean meal that will leave you feeling fabulous, you must try The Cutting Vedge.

So glad we chose this place. Immediately got a table, perused the menu, for me, I found the bangers & mashed potatoes. It was awesome, and plentiful. Almost too much. The others picked the signature dish of Vol Au Vents (open faced chicken pot pie). They loved them, cleaned their plates. All meals were hot and freshly prepared. Quite good! Again, the service was awesome, many people covering all the tables. NO waiting. The beer selection was really good. I enjoyed a Kilkenny ale, others had the O'hara's witches brew. Very Good as well. The restaurant was busy, but not noisy. Good atmosphere for eating and having a conversation. Thank you!

From the moment you walk in the doors, you have to walk up steps and are greeted right at the bar. The atmosphere is cozy and the waiters are all pretty fun with the typical Irish sarcasm we have learned to smile at and join in with. The food was just okay. We had the burger and the lasagne. It was nothing epic, was edible, but nothing wowed us. I would have loved to try the Kytler's whisky and beers, but they were interestingly not offered so we stuck with the Guiness.
