There are times in this service industry where someone goes over and beyond at their job and needs…read moreto be recognized. That person for me today at Hertz (Madison Heights, MI) was Desmond, who displayed kindness, professionalism, and a hard work ethic. I've been a Presidential Circle member of Hertz for quite some time and usually go to another location closer to my home, but needing a same-day reservation my location understandably didn't have any availability. When I arrived to the Madison Heights location I noticed their were two separate guests in seats and that Desmond was a one man band running from the back prepping cars to the front where he quickly greeted me and let me know that that these two guests were ahead of me and that if I had a seat, he'll get to me as soon as he could. Now normally as a president circle I typically just grab keys and go. But as oddly as this statement may seem, I found true enjoyment watching how Desmond conducted himself in what was a pressured situation for this man. He never once broke a sweat or ever seemed overwhelmed as he was running from the back washing cars, then to the front when he heard the door open to great a guest with a courtesy and a welcoming. Even though Desmond was doing the work of two people, he moved expeditiously while keeping guests informed of his progress. Which is something I value from service. I rather be informed and given honesty to the agent's situation, then be in the dark and feel I'm given the runaround. As Desmond advanced through the guests prior to me, getting their car prepared and sitting with them through the booking process. He maintained this upbeat demeanor and spoke with energy the entire time and never once showed tiredness or frustration from juggling all these tasks he had going on. Again, a true display of professionalism!!!!!!! Even a guest came in who had to be informed that they're completely booked, and no more vehicles are available. Desmond did this with grace and empathy with this guest who seemed he was in a desperate need to travel that evening, offering him an EV vehicle (which didn't have the milage range) and alternate Hertz locations that possibly could accommodate a last-minute rental. As I was being provided my keys and before actually knowing this agents name. I asked him for his business card, informing him that I wanted to leave a review of him. Surprisingly, he did not have his own business card, as he had the traits of being the manager of this location by the actions he displayed. Luckily for me he wrote his name on the back of his managers business card, who I'll be reaching out directly to with this review. You know, too often we dwell on the negative times we experience and quick to write about them. However, I also enjoy those times I get to write about someone who thoroughly impressed me, who exemplifies the meaning of service. Thank-you Desmond, my local Hertz is very good but I just may of found a new location.

I purchased a used, foreign car from MAG a little over 2 years ago and I haven't had one issue…read moresince. The car was 4 years old with 80K miles at the time of purchase. It now has closer to 87K miles on it seeing as that I only use it as a second car for light errands and city driving. The car was and is still in excellent condition. The price was very reasonable and below market rate. No shady salesman or unnecessary upselling. I would definitely go back in the future.

I cannot say enough how happy I am that we decided to rent the absolutely breathtaking…read more 1961 Rolls Royce from Detroit Classic Rentals for our Wedding in the fall. Being from the Grand Rapids area on the west side of Michigan, we were having a very hard time finding any rental places for classic cars, and if we did, none were willing to travel to us because we were too far away. Detroit Classic only charged a small fee to bring the car over on our side of the state. The chauffer, A.J., did an amazing job. He was on time, and showed up looking great in a suit and fit in with the fancy attire perfectly. He was very attentive of our needs and how we wanted the car to drive up at a certain point of the wedding. The car, with AJ's help was exactly what we needed to make the most stunning entrance for myself as a bride to the outdoor ceremony. The ride in the car with my Dad in the back seat with me is a moment I will cherish forever. We just received our wedding video back, and the car looks absolutely stunning in the video clips and we all can't stop talking about what a perfect touch it was for the whole wedding. All of our family and friends couldn't get over that part of the wedding where the car drove up, and I got out to walk down the aisle. It was out of a fairy tale. Customer services from beginning to end was great. All of the guys were very easy and enjoyable to work with; they even had accessories for the car, including a red carpet, cans for the back of the car to drive away, and a just married sign. So special. Thank you for making a beautiful life time memory for me!

It was truly one of the best rental experiences I have ever had…read more I was flying in on short notice due to the stress of attending a funeral, but the service at Alamo ended up being the least stressful part of my trip. The shuttles to Alamo ran consistently every 15 minutes, and the ride was clean, comfortable, and well air-conditioned. Even arriving at 12 am, there were friendly attendants ready to assist at the counter immediately. The complimentary water was thoughtful, especially before my long drive. Thanks to the express check-in, my time at the counter was extremely brief. Once the paperwork was finalized, I was able to simply walk out to the lot and choose any car I liked, with the keys already inside and ready to go. Returning the vehicle was equally seamless, and a shuttle was immediately ready to take us back to the airport terminal. I highly appreciate such efficient, accommodating, and hassle-free service during a difficult time.

I wasn't standing in line, but just sitting in the waiting room waiting for the car! They said it was being cleaned. It did come back very clean. But more likely I suspect they root cause was they were waiting people returning the cars. Hey at least I'm glad they had the car available eventually. More details on the logistics. They have a dedicated blue shuttle bus. You have to go down to get your luggage, then back up across a walkway, then backdown to street level. The lot is on airport but off from the terminal. Returing, if you don't see a gas station, keep driving. There a chevron a quarter mile down past the rental return. Easy peasy
