I asked for the difference and he said "$42 for the partial and $52 for the full coverage"... I chose full... HOWEVER, it was NEVER mentioned that this rate was PER DAY!!! (PS: They have my international license and hence KNOW I am not from there even if they hadn't noticed from all the questions that I wouldn't know what the "norm" would be) I ended up paying an additional $440 ABOVE what I had already paid on the phone which was supposed to be the total charge, as per the agent on the phone! Once home the car got stuck parking and won't move and won't start and they're closed because it's Saturday (errand day!). If you rent a car from them and don't drive a fully automated car get complete instructions and a handbook and if it's winter, demand snow tires. It's a nightmare driving otherwise.

If you return a car out of hours, it's as simple as filling out the return section on your rental contract and dropping it in the key return box in the parking garage, along with the car keys. I have rented here for 6 years and have never had a problem, and the staff are friendly and prompt. Yes, the prices are higher than other rental companies but I guess you pay for convenience. Pro tip: If you are looking for a cheaper alternative, check out Bloor & Sherbourne. Their prices are lower but their hours are basically 9-5 with no after hours return facility. Fine if you have parking in your building (unlike me). Avis and Budget are owned by the same company so there is no difference other than the price - they even use the same cars!

Problems: (1) the kilometers were not recorded so I was charged an unknown figure for extra kilometers; (2) I was charged extra for "Roadside Assistance" when it was included in the "Complete Cover" I purchased' (3) I was charged extra for the Premium Location Surcharge and Admin Fee with no explanation. I have tried following up with Avis to no avail. I would NEVER rent from them again.
