Vehicle smelled a bit odd upon pickup, chemical/scented cleaner like. Next day, it smelled more like smoke/fuel. Phones weren't being answered, so I went to the location and the were absolutely slammed out the door almost... first snow fall of season = accidents = rental demand. Despite that, Vincent took care of things like a complete pro and Ryan backed him up nicely. This dynamic duo are doing a bang up job running the show over there on Laidlaw. Great work gentlemen! I've had to rent a car from this location twice, and both time were smooth and easy. When it came to having additional drivers approved to drive the rental car as well, it was easy to show their license and get them added. I would not have rent a car from Enterprise. My insurance company set me up with them while my car was in the shop to have one of the window fix. Services here was A-OK. In and out with rental with minimum stress. and not like I have not been stressed enough, The rental car though was in bad shape. I doubt the interior has been cleaned ever!! It was so smelly, dirty, dusty.. and just filthy. I know it is just a rental for a couple of days, but still. Not only the interior is filthy, I definitely think it has some mechanic problem as the front side of the vehicle kept making funny noises when I making turns... I didn't even feel safe enough to drive it on the highways. I am so so glad to have my own car back!! read more

Warning! Do not patronise this location. The staff are super shady. They went out to "inspect the car" after we returned it and mysterious fender damage appeared when she came back in. They did this because we refused to pay for their company insurance (as we had our own). In order to ding our personal insurance policy, they busted the front fender while we sat inside the office. When we complained that no damage was there when we returned it, the manager (literally) smirked and said "well, we told you to get our insurance. You refused." $350 deductible later.... and this was supposed to be all covered because of a no-fault accident. Money grabbers and scam artists is all they are. read more

Booked a mini van here. After checking in and waited for 30min, I got a 7 seater Ford Flex and was told mini van was not available. Mini van and 7 seater SUV are in different categories so when they claimed they can only guarantee no of seats but not the type of car is completely BS. When I got home with the Ford, once car seats are installed, you can't get to the 3rd row. Well that's why I reserved a mini van to begin with! Called back the center about the situation and all of a sudden they found a car I reserved and they will deliver the car in an hour. It has been 1.5 hr with no car in sight. I wasted the whole morning (10am to 1:15pm - still waiting) for getting a car I reserved. I appreciated their effort In making this right but they failed to deliver again leaving me time to write this review. Stay away from this place to avoid any trouble! read more

I've been using this location for the last 5-6 years. Everything always goes smoothly. My reservation is always ready, and they make it painless as can be. Cars are always clean upon pickup. Staff is friendly. Customer pickup/drop off is pretty quick. Dealerships wait until they get a full car load before going. This is not the case here, if they have a driver, they take you right away. Worst Customer Services Experience EVER!!!! I have religiously rented from enterprise multiple times a year for many many years. This rental experience started out great I was given an upgrade (being gold tier level I get two upgrades a year and I was also waiting outside in the cold with my son for 40 min because the car they were going to give me had a flat tire) and went on my way. I needed to extend my rental and when I went in to rewrite the contract the very rude "manager" told me I should have not been given the car I was given for the price I was paying. Basically he acted like I did something wrong by getting this upgrade. He then went on to tell me that he would not let me continue renting it for the same price that I was paying and then went to raise the rental price $100. OK fine I accept it and rented the car for an extra 100 for the week. My current car is in the repair shop and I was notified that it would not be ready for another week so I called the office once again to see if I was able to extend and they basically told me sure but I had to come in again to rewrite the contract but the price would be over double what i'm paying now. That's the thanks you get for spending over $1300 a month on a rental. I spend thousands of dollars a year with Enterprise and that STOPS now. All paperwork handled before arrival. Despite being not a far distance, still did pick up and drop off. Did not pressure me on timing of return. Interesting life hack I learned today--- lets say you use a credit card to purchase SOMETHING (in my case for 2 weeks I stupidly rented a car from ENTERPRISE----- NEVER EVER rent from Markham Ontario location Enterprise, even if there are no other competitors, just walking is much better than giving those scammers your money!!!!) Then if you get your bill and there is a dispute (in my case I agreed VERBALLY to a charge of only $37 per day so for a total of 15 days I was expecting a bill just over $555 because I rarely drove more than 7 KM per day. Interesting that they use their high pressure sales techniques not IN THE OFFICE where there is paper and pens and printers and they can give you a receipt- no of course not, they do it in your rental car while its negative 30 degrees freezing cold so you are in a rush to get it over with... plus you never sign anything and you are not handed a receipt because they just show you a few forms on an ipad!) When my bill finally arrived a full 22 days after I returned my rented car, I was charged $2100 on my Visa! I called their crappy useless non English speaking customer service staff and yelled at them for three days and got these various excuses "You agreed to extended insurance of an additional $103 per day, therefore a total of $2100." No I didnt! "You were fined an additional $800 because you returned the car instead of to Markham, it was returned to Pearson Airport and you were told ahead of time there would be a $800 fine" No I wasnt! "There is a large charge for your massive number of kilometres, you drove over 6000 km" Ah- thats the distance to drive to BOLIVIA, I think I would remember that !!!!! WTF !!!!!??????? Are you guys just making this up as you go along, for shi*s and giggles? So instead of wasting my time anymore I call Visa and explained the situation and they put a TEMPORARY refund of $800 on my credit card until this is resolved. Then the next day my credit card was stolen (Im not making this up.) So I called my credit card company and reported it stolen. They mailed me a new card (which is not only a new physical credit card, its a new NUMBER) to my home within 2 days. Now, even if Enterprise somehow prove that I had agreed to this additional $800 in charges (they wont be able to prove that, in fact they dont even have my signature on file for the $37 per day), they wont be able to ding my credit card again because the number is changed. Too bad Enterprise, sux to be you !!! Stop scamming your customers because sometimes we just wont take it anymore ! Ive checked some of the other reviews on Google/ Yelp/ etc and it turns out many of their customers had the exact same problem as me ! NEVER USE THIS LOCATION ! read more

My experience with this rental location is quite different comparing to the two previous reviews. I rented a car for two weeks during the Christmas break. I had 3 different staff persons serviced me during the pick up, rental processing and drop off, all of which were courteous, knowledgeable, and customer friendly. I know because I saw how they treated other customers in person and over the phone. Kyle the office manager was especially accommodating to the ice storm affected customers. I rent frequently at airports in a lot of US cities, and this by far THE best experience I have had in a long time. It was very refreshing to see a rare true customer service. read more

My car got into a fender bender and it was being repaired at CarStar just down the street, and the insurance company paid for my Rental Car at Enterprise. They tried to sell me additional insurance and I said "no", and they tried to justified why I should buy the extra insurance, and told them I don't need it .. and that was that, they didn't try pushing it anymore. I'll start off by saying the staff was very friendly and courteous absolutely no issues there. My issue was I had booked a full size car, 4 months in advance and one of the reasons I chose enterprise was their vehicle line-up in this class is the most fuel efficient in the industry. When I arrived to pick-up my car an hour before leaving for Cape Breton Nova Scotia they told me they were out of full size and they would be happy to upgrade me to a SUV at no extra charge. When I told them fuel mileage was important to me I was told the GMC Terrain they were supply me was surprisingly good on fuel. With 3 kids and luggage for 10 days I did not have the ability to go smaller. Doing some quick math after my 4800 km trip tells me the difference in fuel costs over $275. I sent in my complaint to customer service and they replied back a general manager was looking into it, that was 5 days ago so far no response. On a lesser note vehicle was not cleaned, coffee stains on the console and the inside of windshield was so dirty I had to pull over and clean it as I could not see when it went dark. Really disappointing as the enterprise in Barrie is such a pleasure to deal with. read more
