I booked a standard economy vehicle to take to Niagara Falls for the day. Usually, an Economy car is classified as a Volkswagen Jetta or similar. In my mind, I thought, "oh maybe a Nissan Sentra or something." The reason being the last few times I have gotten a Nissan Sentra with Enterprise and had no issues. I was surprised when I got to the Enterprise because first, they showed me a small red car - which no offense looks like a vehicle you would give a kid who just got their permit. I thought maybe a Sentra or even an SUV. While the associate was helping me suddenly stated, " I'm so sorry my manager just told me I actually could not give you an SUV because you do not meet the age requirement." This statement was odd because I have also rented SUVs from Enterprise in the past and had no issue. Maybe it is a difference between Canadian and American Enterprise policy? So I was then given the little red car which was a Nissan Micra. Because of the time and what not that was taken up, he was kind enough to give me a discount on the rental because the Micra is similar to a Mirage, which is a tiny car. Although the rental was not ideal for shopping and bringing stuff to and from Niagara Falls, it got us from Point A to Point B which is all that matters. Finding the location can be difficult, I think I went in circles twice trying to find the Enterprise - but returning the vehicle is no issue.

However when checking in, the first remark uttered by the representative when they eventually found my booking is "How did you get this price? It's wrong." Safe to say, what they perceived as an error resulted in my spending a considerable amount of time at the location trying to retrieve the vehicle. This was only made worst by the fact the location has no furniture or filing cabinets and all their paperwork was spread across the floor. The booking only got worse from here. After the agreement was signed, the same representative began power washing the rental. As the keys were handed to me, the rep apologized for the state of the interior, which was disgusting. Upon arriving at home, I wiped down the interior with anti-bacterial wipes trying to remove as much debris as possible. Fast forward a week and I drop off the vehicle the night before the agreed upon return date, leaving the keys in the drop box. MY MISTAKE. A week after my rental was returned, I was charged an additional rental fee ($600+) without any notification or receipt. It's been a month now that I have been communicating with AVIS corporate to get a refund only to eventually find out that apparently Avis records indicate that I returned the vehicle 1 day late. This location is run by unethical, disorganized swindlers. For your sanity, STAY AWAY. The location at Bay and Front is top notch and worth the extra commute time.

The person, who handed over the car, didn't do a proper paperwork. There were a few things missing for which we had to go to their office and get it all sorted out. The lady sitting at the desk isn't on her best behavior ever but she does her job pretty good. So, don't expect any goodies - but personally, I prefer to deal with people who do their jobs well and may behave rudely instead of someone behaving nice and screwing up the work. Also, I had asked them to let me know if an SUV is available then I would like to switch over to that. However, I never received any call - I can't imagine any SUV didn't free up in a three week period. I would still prefer Budget or Enterprise considering the overall experience.
