Then the place they had us pick up from didnt have proper instruction on how to retrieve the keys for the truck. After finally speaking with uhaul 3 times we finally got the keys and hour after our initial rental time. The final straw was them charging us for the truck twice with no explanation and when calling they make it incredibly hard to get that money returned. I will never recommend or use uhaul again ever. They lost a customer and anyone in my life who would potentially be a customer.

I had a confirmed rental (although the confirmation email states in fine print that it's no guarantee of a vehicle being available). I showed up at the location at the confirmed time, only to be "walked" and told there wasn't a truck available and that "someone" in inventory was supposed to have contacted me. I left and made a reservation w/UHaul who actually guarantee to pay you $50 if a confirmed rental isn't fulfilled. To make matters worse, Budget charged me a $75 no-show fee even though they were the no-show. I had to call customer service and after about 5 min was able to get them to process a credit. Their initial response was that I was supposed to cancel my reservation. Go figure.

The plate glass on the front door is shattered, the security camera is half pulled off the wall, the garage is a mess, as is the parking lot, and half of the shrubbery is littered with paper or is dying. The staff denied my online reservation, saying it was for another of their stores, but they gave me a replacement car. The problem was the tree sap or some other sticky stuff on the hood of the car. They tried to wash it off, but no dice. They didn't have any mineral spirits in the mess of a garage. Worse was that the windshield fluid was low, so the dashboard control drove us crazy until we stuck a hose in the reservoir to fill it up. Earth to Corporate: Are you listening?!

He explained the situation and was generous in fixing the issue. I've never dealt with a company that was so swift to fix any issues I may have had during my move - they were keen on listening to my needs and even went into depth discussing the day and some of the reasons these issues below might have happened. Because of the 180 in the service, I would definitely recommend them. It shows that they do care about their company and making it grow -- as well as ensuring the customer is happy! They're not just there to pocket some cash, but they genuinely want to ensure you are pleased with their service. The movers themselves were wonderful guys - personable and helpful. It's probably not easy for them to get paid by the roadside companies either, and not cheap to operate a fleet of expensive tow trucks. Just because your car is stuck in snow doesn't mean they owe it to you to risk getting their truck stuck. It's hard to find auto repair shops that do a good job on the car. I've had bad experiences with other shops in the area not completing what you asked, things coming back worse then when you dropped it off. I have not had any issues with Jans, service and prices have been great. Tow drivers are all friendly and courteous. Not sure what all the negative reviews are about. Recommend this place.

Had a blow out on the thruway. The guy who came brought an old crookety jack that was broken. He…read morecould jack the car up until my boyfriend told him to try in another spot. He brought a little drill to get the lug nuts off and don't realize that there were caps on the lug nuts. Although I think we still may have been in the predicament we were in cuz some of the lug nuts were seized they may have had an easier time with the proper equipment. He was nice at least and was able to find us a spot that could do it and towed us there.
