See Jabber S. @ review for 05/14/26 I concur. Vehicle reserver for nearly 3 weeks. 2 Days before pick up get a phone call that it will not be available. Nothing they can do and call customer service. Customer Service basically confirms my reservation and asked if there is anything else they can do. After the obligated "merry-go round" conversation they stay all they can do is cancel my reservation. Apprentlyt this is someone normal. read more

RENTERS- DO NOT RENT HERE! Craig Singer, the manager is passive aggressive, lacks basic communication skills AND he is unprofessional. They will tell you vehicles are available then waste hours of your time. He allowed one of his employees, Kamari to leave for several hours claiming the employee had "the key to the vehicle with him" and proceeded to make me wait over TWO HOURS for the vehicle. Then cancelled the contract when I verbally complained about the negligence and consistent miscommunication. Simply terrible customer service! Not to mention, they gave me a dirty vehicle with dirty floors, seats, charging areas because they are too understaffed to take care of their fleet. Terrible company and management. Don't even waste your time or money. Go anywhere else. read more

If I can give it a negative star I would. This is the worst Avis location in the world Avis as a company is awful. Customer service phone line is the worst. I understand why the customer service at the personal location is bad. This location shouldn't even be in business. If you cannot provide an automobile for the customer after they have booked a car a week in advance paid in full.. No courtesy phone call to let you know that hey we don't have an automobile for you. Wait till you get to the store to let you know they don't have a car. This is the worst customer service I have ever experience in my life, they were unapologetic and nonchalant. Please don't book at with Avis you will be very and I mean very disappointed. 1 hr before my trip SMH read more

This Avis always does an excellent job, I have read reviews about inventory but that's definitely an Avis corporate issue, out of control for the location, must be frustrating, that the Avis system is so poorly maintained that it allows you to make reservations &not send the cars to this location!Because that's what's happening & yet the staff tries to be as kind and patient while explaining their predicament for that alone they should be applauded. Def 5 stars! read more

I am not sure if it is this location or AVIS overall but they will leave you STRANDED.. Yes even when you prepay. This is the second time I have got a call 2 days (this time), (minutes before pick up last time) that they have no cars to honor my CONFIRMED AND PREPAID I have had for WEEKS reservation. Their solution, drive to the airport to pick up the car or call customer service. Customer service gave me the option of calling other locations or a refund. They claim they cannot call locations so I guess that becomes the customers job. Take my advice... Just pay the extra money and save your trip, your time and energy. Their cars are never clean at this location and smell like smoke anyway. read more

This is the 3rd time I've made a reservation and received a call the day prior to inform me that they will not have a vehicle available. I went back a second and third time because the manager is a decent guy. However, when you make plans and they are thwarted it's frustrating. Then young Man that called me said I could try the airport. If I wanted to drive to Atlanta , I would have reserved the car for an Atlanta airport pickup. They need to figure out a better way because they are losing customers despite the good office staff. read more

My reservation was made in January for a total of $550 rental date April 4th. March 15 went to Avis store front and my Reservation had mysteriously jump to over $1350. Went back and forth with corporate for 2 weeks. 8:30 this morning I get called by Avis that my reservation was cancelled by corporate due to all cars and SUV's being sent to the Atlanta airport for the Masters and for spring breakers. I have never seen such unethical business practices in my life. Avis doesn't need to worry about me as a client ever again, and I encourage everyone else to find rental cars elsewhere. read more

Went with my dad to pick up a car he was taking on vacay. I called about 2 hours before the pickup time to see if he was able to come early. Jasmine picked up and was super nice on the phone. She told us we could come early and even let us know what cars were available. We arrived and it was greeted by Jasmine and another friendly lady behind the counter. Jasmine quickly assisted us and answered any questions we had. The first car offered was a RAV4 that had a strong smoke smell on the inside and the tires were worn down really low. Pops wasn't comfortable with that. Jasmine was super patient with us and we were able to find an alternative car that worked. One thing to note is at this location they are unable to wash the outside of the car. They can clean the inside but not the outside. Overall, pleasant experience and I'm sure my dad will continue to come back. Avis continues to beat the other competitors in the area. read more

Nightmares and that's being fair. I prepaid for a vehicle that only drove 29 miles before my nightmares began. When I reach approximately 28 miles my 2025 Toyota Camry practically fell apart, the car started making weird noises, it started smoking and the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. I pull over to call the emergency road side assistance but couldn't get assistance to save my life so, I had to drive 30m miles back to Avis only to get a replacement that was no where near comparison to the Toyota but I needed a vehicle so I kept it. Problem almost solved upon my return I explained and even showed the young man that was assisting me with the return that my gas tank was full which he acknowledged and promised me that I wouldn't be charged, long and behold the fool put a 28.45 charge on my receipt after he seen with his own eyes that it was full I called Avis no lies about the upcharge plus my 200 dollar deposit, they gave me the 28.45 but didn't give me my 200 dollars deposit so I had to put in a dispute against this horror film of car rentals and I'm currently awaiting the results. WHATEVER YOU DO, READ YOUR RECEIPT THOROUGHLY THEY WILL ADD EXTRA CHARGES IF YOU DO NOT PAY CLOSE ATTENTION . STEER CLEAR, THIS AVIS LOCATION IS FOR THE BIRDS. read more

It's always a huge gamble at this location. To be a standalone branch they never have vehicles. They have a back row full of cars that are reversed parked that they never service to have ready. Almost every time I try to rent here the same cars are always never able. Malibu's, corolla's, electric cars, always parked and never ever able to be rented. Might get a car every now and then but this is a horrible location. read more

Never rent here. I reserved a vehicle in advance and on the morning of pickup took a lyft to this office only to be told they have no cars available and I could call the airport. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told I was speaking to him. He then proceeded to give me a sob story about why things were so difficult as if I cared! I had a trip and a time schedule! When I got home and looked through reviews I realize this location has a pattern of this type of behavior. He could have cancelled as soon as he knew and I would have received notice (Hertz did this before). A sorry manager running a business that should be shut down. He didn't even attempt to make it right, offer a future discount, cupon etc. Conyers does not need this type of establishment. read more

To Whom It May Concern, The customer service I had received at this Avis location was pathetic! I had contacted the customer service for a car rental on Monday August 9, 2021 for a rental for Friday August 13 2021 to Monday August 16, 2021 due to me having to go out of town for a funeral of a family member. I paid for the rental up front on Monday August 9, 2021 so that my rental will be locked in. I was informed to do this from the customer rep I spoke to on Monday just to make sure I will have a vehicle reserved for me on Friday. I arrived at this Avis location on Friday at 1:45pm. I gave my reservation number to the representative to upload my reservation..I was then informed that they will need to collect my deposit. I submitted my debit card into the card reader for payment the card reader would not process my card then failed. We tried twice with the same results. The funds was definitely in my bank account to cover the fees. The representative did not know what was going on & then got the other representative to assist her. The other representative asked me if I had a credit freeze on my credit report & I informed him I do. I was then informed that the freeze would need to be removed first in order to process my deposit. Prior to this the first representative asked me to write down my SSN to submit it into the system for the credit check. After it did not process properly due to my freeze on credit. I observed the representative just balled up my SSN and just threw it in the trash. I was appalled to see that they do not even use a paper shredding machine to properly dispose of customers sensitive & confidential information. Anyone could just go through that trash can &obtain multiple customers SSN's & then have their Identity stolen. I know this to be fact being that I am a victim of Identity theft. I contacted the credit bureau company to have my freeze temporarily removed so that Avis could perform their credit check. The representative stated that her system was giving her a error message she has never seen before & asked the other representative for assistance..The other representative looks at the error message & stated that the freeze must still be on my credit. I informed both representatives that is false because I still had the credit bureau on the phone during all of this taking place & I was reassured by the credit bureau company representative that the freeze was lifted & it was in realtime with no system delays. The credit bureau then informs me that it did go through on their end to the credit bureau company. The credit bureau company informed me that they did see the soft inquiry come through on their end from Avis. I then informed both representatives that the credit bureau company has received the soft inquiry on their end from Avis. The first representative tried to run my information again & she still received the same error message which was not pass or fail. The representative then asks the second representative for help again. The second representative proceeds to inform me that I failed their soft credit check. I asked both of them how can that be when the first representative stated prior to her running the initial soft credit check that their system always comes back with a pass or fail response & from what the first representative is telling you & me that she is not getting neither pass or fail for a response she was getting an ( cld error message she has never seen before). The second representative had no response for my question. After getting off his phone call the second representative asks me if I am using an debit or credit card? I informed him a debit card & then the second representative informs me that Avis just made a change on Friday August 6, 2021 that debit cards are no longer being accepted for reservations for mid size SUV's or anything larger. I then contacted customer service & spoke to a supervisor(Andy) & inquired about this policy change & was informed that is false information I was informed. They did even work with me to get another vehicle to make it to my family member funeral. No sympathy or empathy to the situation at hand. I HOPE NO ONE GOES THROUGH WHAT I WENT THROUGH WITH AVIS IN A CRUCIAL TIME OF NEED! NEEDLESS TO SAY I DID NOT MAKE IT TO MY FAMILY MEMBER FUNERAL... read more

Use to rent all the time here for my business I just rent about 2 weeks ago. 2 other people in front of me just got declined for a credit check. I felt bad then I got declined! Showed up a few minutes late. I used to rent at the Lithonia location but that one is closed now so this is the closest. It was a little chaotic they didn't have cars ready to go for everyone. I hate to give a bad review but I really feel wronged. The employees called me to tell me they seen that I returned the car a day after my original return date but didn't check in the vehicle. Two days later I see charges for loss prevention, who was never called I explained to the person I spoke to Friday I will return Saturday. Then a roadside assistance charge came up, which they NEVER HAD TO CALL!!! Also they tried to charge me for 3 extra days instead of just the one extra I had the vehicle. My return date was 8/20 I returned 8/21. They charged me from 8/16-8/23. LIVID!!!! That's ridiculous I've never had that issue from Enterprise or Hertz. Oh I was also charged for returning the car without a full tank of gas.... I received it with 32 miles to E. These people are the worse. read more

I N C O N V E N I E N C E D!!! Malpractice at its finest! I'm one of those people that value great customer service, & this location has a few loose screws/rotten eggs. Funny thing is, upon my initial arrival I witnessed a (new-hire) female employee just scrolling away at Instagram smh, guess that was more important. The young woman's attitude was so inappropriate over the phone, that when I entered the store I instantly recognized whom she was just by her saying out loud "Hol-on baby"(personal-phone). Initially opening the door to my rental I almost vomited. My rental was disgusting, & I even found someone's reusable COVID-19 VIRUS INFESTED MASK laying on the floor-board!!! Assuming that I would receive better service from the Store Operations Manager, I was completely wrong. SEVERAL rules/regulations were broken in order to receive my initial rental agreement, not to forget the Store Op. Manager was initially present & permitted these malpractices amongst his employees, way to go! When issues arise, no one wishes to accept their fault, neither the Store Op. Manager! My rental wasn't available til approximately an hour from when it was arranged to be available smh. To everyone reading, please inquire about any & all fees associated with your agreements, extensions, contract-rewriting, etc. The only fee mentioned to me was a late fee. I had no idea that act of extending rental agreements adds a fee of $10. I think I'd rather walk, great exercise! read more

I am posting this for my brother (Anthony Davis) at his request. On 8/16 2022 a reservation was made with Avis through Price Line (Trip # 136-863-325-17) with a pick-up confirmation # 39948323US2 at a total cost of $430.45 for a full-size vehicle to be picked up on 9/2/2022 at noon. On the pickup date (9/2) he gets a call from the rental agency at 11:30 (thirty minutes before time to pick the vehicle up) advising him that they do not have any cars. (In reading other reviews this seems to be a common issue at this location) The agent is said to have stated that there would be a vehicle available at 2PM when my brother arrives at 2, they still do not have a vehicle, but he is offered a 15-passenger van at the same rate or the alternative of driving to the airport for a vehicle. He declined. What is the problem at this location? read more

This review is not only for this particular location but for the corporation of Avis as well DO NOT RENT HERE. DO NOT RENT WITH AVIS. There is no connection with corporate and the properties, rules are made as they go, with both pointing the finger at the other when errors arise. I've had my rental for about 2 months figured I would try Avis with my corporate discount with my job (was never given the IHG discount) from the first day I went to pick up my rental they ran out of cars. I was told I had to find my way to another location that had vehicles which was the airport about 45 min away. They would not upgrade me for the inconvenience (1), even though I offered to return the upgrade the very next day being that I did not need a mini van I called the customer service line and was told YOUR CAR IS NOT GUARANTEED AT PARTICULAR LOCATION. The only promise Avis makes is you will get a car but if the location is out it's your problem to get another location. I had to return the next day was never reimbursed for a cab for this inconvenience (2). The next day I arrive and get the car. I kept the car a month, every Friday extending for another week. When returning there was NO log off my extension for the last week so I was charged additional due to not returning it although I extended the same way all 3 times. I was told at the property they were having an issue with the computers not processing extensions all day. You would assume they would waive this fee knowing THEIR system had a glitch with several reservations. I complained about this inconvenience (3) and was told to call customer service for a reimbursement. I did and it was never received. Over $1000 for the first month. Yes you read that right 1000 for one month. Unfortunately could not switch rental companies the same day so I rented the same car. Upon returning the car for a second time the same issue my extension was never received I was charged an additional fee, from 712 to 850 for a glitch with THEIR system. I called the hotline and Nothing was resolved inconvenience (4). The associates at the counter over charged me 2 times I've yet to receive a deposit back and it's been a month. Let me add every time I brought an error to their attention the property blamed AVIS. When calling Avis the headquarters blame the property. I've been hung up on about 5x as well. I've been told I would receive a call back from a manager. I still haven't gotten my employee discount. I called one time in the office and over the phone a guest rep actually got into it with I assume the property manager at this location. This has been an insane roller coaster I never want to ride again. Save your self the headache and time and rent elsewhere. If I could give 0 stars I would but I had to leave this warming for the community and world. read more

I am very disappointed in Avis. This location never have cars! I booked a reservation and called to make sure they had my car ready I was told by the manager my car would be there in 20 mins they were waiting on cars to be dropped off. Unfortunately when I arrived there were 4 other ppl waiting on cars. One customer booked her car a week in advance and was told to arrive at 1pm just to be told there were no cars and she was going out of town the next day. To make matters worse the manager I spoke with was nowhere to be found he ghost everyone. And Avis does nothing to try to accommodate any of their customers and this is unacceptable. I have a reservation to rent a car and was told to call the day before to confirm my car is available this is unacceptable if I'm unable to rent this car this will be my very last time dealing with Avis. Worst car rental experience of my life. 0/10 in every category. Enterprise gave me a five star experience and earned my loyalty after I left Avis empty handed because not only were the cars the lobby full of people reserved not there, there were no cars available on the premises for rental. This branch of Avis not only didn't care about their customers during my visit, but the management refused to take responsibility for inconveniencing the customers who reserved cars that were not actually available, and did nothing to make the situation right. GO TO HERTZ GO TO ENTERPRISE So first off I'll say that my mother WAS in the Avis Uber program. Earlier today out Hyundai Elantra was towed from our apartment complex we were confused but it was whatever we called Avis Uber customers support number to see what was going on, they say its nothing, everything was all fine and in order, so after going to our apartment office to see if they knew what was going on we decided to call the store that we leased from and while the phone was ringing they just picked I it up and slammed it back down THREE TIMES after our third time being hung up on by people we've been paying every week they tell us that they can't see our last four payments that have been taken out of my bank account, which is the complete opposite of what they said the first time we called. So after we asked for a solution to the problem they tolls us that we can give them 700 cash and when the payments come through they'll give us "credit" This is a horrible company to do business with there's a reason there Uber division is rated a 3.4 don't go here, go to hertz, trust me you don't want to go here read more
