When our first rental car place shit the bed and did not honor our reservation, we opted to take an uber from the Airport to this hertz, near our hotel. We reserved a car online and took the 45 minute uber to this location. When we arrived, they told us if we made a reservation that day, they did not have any cars to give us. So now we are stranded at a rental car place in the middle of Georgia. I have to tell say, these were the NICEST people. They did everything they possibly could to find us a car, and drove to another location to get us a car. While we were waiting, we even had another patron offer to give us a ride. Basically, we picked a good place to get stranded! We did get a car after about an hour and the team here worked very hard to get us this car. It is a bit of a problem that they let us reserve a car, when they did not have one available, but it worked out in the end! read more

Formal Executive Complaint: Prepaid Reservation Refused, Four-Hour Delay and Profane Treatment. "GET THE FUCK ON UP OUT OF THERE." Those were the words used by a Dollar representative toward a 66-year-old customer who had prepaid for a reservation, driven an hour to the facility, waited nearly four hours and was trying to reach his mother's funeral. I have never been spoken to or treated this way by employees of any reputable business. This facility should be shut down. read more

I went online and rented a compact car for 5 days. When I arrived at the Conyers, Georgia location, I was told that a compact car was not available and that the only vehicle available was an SUV. According to Hertz's policy, I should have been given the SUV for the same cost as the compact car; however, according to the manager, the policy was wrong. I was made to pay the difference even after I pointed out Hertz's policy. I needed a car, so I had no choice but to pay. After that ordeal I reached out to corporate and they made the adjustment and provided a refund for the overcharge. Does the Conyers GA location adhere to Hertz policy? You be the judge. read more

Wifey reserved a vehicle in advance and specifically booked a minivan. She called a couple of times beforehand to confirm the reservation, and each time she was re-assured that everything was set. We arrived about ten minutes later than planned. As we stepped into the office, Lex greeted us warmly and let us know she'd be with us in just a minute as she finished assisting another customer. Despite clearly managing a lot at once -- juggling multiple tasks and keeping everything moving -- Lex remained calm and professional. She finished with a previous customer and started working with us, but the previous customer I had some more questions and she could see that the customer was starting to get frustrated. Lex asked for our patience and addressed the previous customer's issues. About ten minutes later, she returned to us, picked up right where we left off, and smoothly finalized our reservation. We received exactly the vehicle that was promised. This was a very good experience at this Hertz location and a lot of that was due to Lex. read more

Worst customer service ever. I am a hertz gold member for over 10 years. Had a 12pm reservation, I arrived on time and still had to wait 2 hours for assistance. All for them to still not give me a car. I'll never rent for this location again. read more

Believe the reviews. Take your business somewhere else. I booked my reservation through the app and when I went to pick up the car it took over an hour due to the system being down. I reserved a 7 passenger vehicle which is supposed to be able to hold luggage for all passengers. They rented me a Hyundai Palisade. It barely fit my family and our luggage. The vehicle was DISGUSTING. It smelled like cigarettes and must. Had to buy air freshener and put it in the vents. There were grease stains, leftover food, dirty socks, you name it all through the vehicle. I had to personally buy disinfectant wipes and clean the car. Honestly, you wouldn't believe the dirt that came out of that car. It clearly had never been cleaned. One of the seatbelts didn't work so we were down a seat. And the car was given to me on 1/4 of a tank. Honestly, just pay the extra money and rent with someone else. Or at least not this location. Not worth the effort. read more

If you want to wait hours for a vehicle and deal with incompetence this is the place to go. The employees are not knowledgable about their jobs and the customer has to come up with their own solutions. They will also attempt to add other charges/damages to your account so be careful. Luckily I take my own pictures and photos and had it disputed with success. As a Hertz GOLD member this is unacceptable. Get new staff here. read more

The change in management has definitely made a difference in the customer service. They are more responsive and friendly.

Hertz decided to keep deposit said it was a problem with engine when I return the car. I had no accident only had the car for two days. Ask what was the problem with engine they could not tell me. I would never use there service again. They kept 50. 00 dollars what type of engine problems cost 50.00 dollars this was a Scam away they collect extra money. This is the worst Rental company. I would never use them again. Enterprise Avis Never been a problem. read more

John at the Conyers location was GREAT! Had me in and out in 20 minutes and literally saved me a couple hundred. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely come back! read more

I recently made a reservation for a rental car, taking advantage of the 'pay early for a discount' offer. I arrived ahead of schedule, but upon my arrival, I was informed that there were no vehicles available. This was despite having already completed the payment in advance. I had to cancel my whole trip but I was notified last minute and everywhere else did not have anything available. I am so sad.... I missed out on a lot of money due to this. I`m crying.... read more

I would have given a zero review if possible! This was the most disappointing customer service I have ever experience. I am not sure where they found these people to work, but I feel like they just came from McDonald's! I don't think professional and customer service ever crossed their mind when dealing with us. the whole experience was so disorganized, transactional, and awful with incompetent staff. The store was about the size of a lemonade stand, with only standing room only with exception of a few chairs. There was an unlabeled room that had some chairs. I was rudely asked by the office manager if I realized that was their break room. I told her I did not, and it would be helpful if it was labeled as such. I had reserved the car and paid in advance on Priceline, but they charged me for the entire cost again, and told me that was a third-party company, and they had nothing to do with that. They could have cared less! Then we drove the car and had to stop by Pep Boys because there was a tire pressure light on. We were informed that it needed two tires because one had a bad leak with a nail in it and the other one was leaking due to rim damage. What kind of quality assurance do these guys perform??? what a waste of time! The first and only time we have used Hertz! It will never happen again. There were several other customers in the lobby that were having issues with their rental vehicle. One poor elderly lady was instructed to take the car to Pep Boys so they could check it out. Is that even her responsibility? I'm simply STUNNED!‍ read more

this is not a professional car rental facilities. I did the same as above, my warranty company made reservations for me for a vehicle. Got there set there for 20 minutes and was told they did not have any cars. Whoever heard of a Rent-A-Car have no any cars. they need a new management team. read more

This location needs to be closed! I wish I could leave a NEGATIVE ZERO stars. I reserved a car, received a confirmation, took a Lyft to picK up the car only to get there and they can't honor the reservation. I was told they have a problem with over booking at this location. Well, if it's a problem, FIX IT! This was a huge inconvenience because I was headed out of town. This whole incident costed me money and Hertz did nothing to compensate; the people at the location not the customer service representative. The location is horrible! Customer Service is horrible. Hertz is horrible. *****DON'T RENT FROM THIS LOCATION. THEY MAY NOT HAVE A CAR AVAILABLE****** read more

If I could give below a 1 star I would. I made a reservation for 9:00am and was called at 8:56 with them saying they have no available cars. I don't understand what is the point of making a reservation if they're not going to be upheld or better yet no compensation for them inconveniencing you. But if you don't show up you get a charge... read more

The reviews are real. The wait is going to be 1+ hours to pick up a rental. They only accept credit cards and debit cards. The reason why their wait is so long is because when you rent the car, then it'll get washed. They have 3 agents and 1 car washer. Needless to say. I will never rent from here again. I will pay more to go somewhere else to save my time. read more

limited choices. Even though I had a time for pickup was told there was nothing available for me. Car smelled like Febreez and weed. The smell only got worse as the days went by. The car shook when you were trying to press the breaks. People there were nice but the car was not. read more

TERRIBLE!!! Do not rent from here. Customer service is terrible. Their version of "clean" is spraying water on the car. Rental cars smell of cigarette smoke. This is the first car rental place that gives you a rental on an empty tank. Takes forever to pick up a rental because they sit on their phones while customers are waiting. The rental car I received did NOT have any heat so you freeze and can't properly defrost windows. Rode terribly because they replaced tires and not a single one of them are the same one. This place needs to be shut down. read more

There is always room for improvement but was overall satisfied. This place was abnormally busy for a Monday morning. Only one person was at the desk. He didn't appear to be overwhelmed. He logically and patiently provided the best customer service possible in my opinion given the circumstances. He did a very good job taking everything into consideration. I was overall satisfied with my pick up. read more

If I could have given a negative 10, I would have but the review source won't allow minus negative reviews! I had to rent a vehicle because my personal car had sustained damages in an accident, not sure if the dealership that was repairing my car takes customers to the closest rental place, but I was taken to the Hertz in Conyers, Ga. I hadn't reserved a car so there wasn't much to choose from, the car I was assigned had recently been returned and had not been cleaned, in fact it was filthy...littered with food containers, greasy finger prints on the dashboard, door handles, and console. The carpet had muddy prints and there was sand on the back seats, the floors and even the boot in the rear of the car, the smell was foul and it was obvious someone had been smoking inside the car! When I mentioned this to the associate it was shrugged off! I was offered an option of returning the car without refueling if I would put my credit card on file, a week after having the car Hertz starting charging my debt card for daily use of the car, I wasn't able to reach anyone on their customer service line so I had to drive over to the Conyers' office, I was told that because the contract had gone over the time, I was being charged at a daily rate, let's not mention that this was an insurance claim and they would also receive monies from the insurance company, noting the shady dealings with my debt car I asked that my debit/credit card be removed from their system and I would refuel the car on my own, the person working who supposedly followed through was in "training" and didn't know that they would not remove the refueling fund, in other words it's a money making gimmick! So, when I returned the car with a full tank of gas, I assumed that would be the end of the it...Nope 1 week later Hertz charged $30 to my debt card with the excuse that even though I had refueled the car I had a contract for $50 but they only charged me $30...and to add insult to injury the staff at the Conyers' office called the Sheriff's Office on me! I'm assuming they thought it was worth having me arrested rather than them doing right thing by refunding my money! Okay Hertz while I've never rented a vehicle in this area before I have been a gold card member with your company for over 20 years...trust I won't be a returning customer! Also, if you're reading this review and you live in Georgia don't use the Hertz in Conyers' if you have a dispute with them they call the Authority!!!! We all know how unsafe that can be for certain people!!! read more

This is the most unprofessional establishment I've ever had to experience. My daughters first experience there, she waited hours with no help..so she ended up leaving. So here we go trying for the second time, we prepaid for a rental, get there and guess what, NOTHING WAS AVAILABLE. Another customer was returning a truck and we were told that it would be considered an upgrade from what we had reserved and would have to come out of pocket extra! They inconvenience us and still wanted more money. I wish I could rate them a negative 0! DON'T CONDUCT BUSINESS HERE! read more

Terrible!!!! Never ever rent here!!! Old busted cars with filthy interiors never going back

No stars !!! Don't reserve here. They never honor your reservations . Horrible customer service !! Shop with the competitors

The employees at this location have absolutely no customer service or accountability. This is the second time I've rented a car and when I arrive the vehicle is unavailable. I told the gentleman today that all they had to do is call and explain the situation and provide options. Horrible experience and I will never rent from this location again. read more

Reading the other reviews is shocking. I am from out of state and I have rented from this particular Hertz. I can say that I was treated very well. I was able to get a car before the holiday and this location was one of the few that had cars left. There was a line, but the people were working as fast as they could and I was treated very well. I recently rented again and this same facility picked my mother and I up and dropped us off. What else should one expect? I received great customer service I am highly pleased. I will be a returning customer in the near future. read more

Honestly they need to shut this place down, both workers there in the front appeal lazy and even over the phone, and catch an attitude quick, just remove this shop since they "don't have enough staff to rent out the cars" smh worst experience ever! I rented a cargo van for ten days. Called this week to confirm it. Went today and they didn't have one and I can't find one anywhere completely disrupting my plans. It is unacceptable that they did not call and let me know so I could try and find another one before places closed. read more

Wish I could give a negative star review, however, one star will have to suffice. I booked my reservation WEEKS in advance and as a State Employee booked with a rental code. Once I went to pick up the car, I was told they could not honor the code because there was no manager on duty to override that the computer. This scenario went on for 90 minutes and if you have ever been to this location, there is a five person max to fit in their office, however there were approximately 10 people and only two employees. Neither employee was able to figure out why the computer couldn't accept the code, they could not do a new reservation because the manager wasn't present so I left there after almost two hours leaving me to miss a planned banquet in honor of my daughter as well as have to wait for another company to have availability, making me miss my family plans to travel together. I reached out to customer service and told them I wanted them to honor my original reservation and they refused. No thanks Hertz, Enterprise for life now! read more

This company is a scam!!! We reserved a car earlier in the week, when the day came for us to pick the car up they didn't have the car we reserved, or the equivalent. The entire staff was rude, unwelcoming, and completely uncaring. She didn't even look up from her phone to tell me that they didn't have the vehicle. When I asked her when they think they'll have one she just said " we'll call you. It could be today or tomorrow or the next day." We had to cancel our hotel reservations and was charged $100+ because of the BS company. I would give them no stars if possible!! Lesson learned, I will NEVER use this company again. read more

0 Stars! Awful experience, multiple instances of unprofessionalism, rudeness, and lies. At one point an agent who I spoke with the day before to confirm told me after i already had a reservation that they were first come first serve and there was nothing available! And that's After i waited 40 mins past my pickup time waiting on them. BEWARE, their cheap prices come with awful service. read more

I reserved a vehicle and paid in full. During the reservation process, I scheduled a pick up at 4PM. The day of, at 3:35PM, I haven't heard from anyone, so I call. I spoke to an associate who informed me that this location doesn't do pick-ups, but offers $10 credit for taxi/Uber/Lyft. I get to the location, and they state "since I paid in full, they can't provide a credit". I inquire about alternatives offered, the associate replies "there's nothing else we can do". This is very unprofessional of Hertz to misinform their customers TWICE on an issue and give an "oh well" as a response. I'm very dissatisfied and will think twice about using this location in the future. read more

Well, I honestly thought that Hertz was better than this.... It is true that they have more staff than cars. Worse yet, people keep coming for reservations, but the cars often are not here. As a result, people who have reservations end up having to wait for the "return" cars to arrive, which ends up frustrating those who are waiting on rentals.... It's definitely made me think twice about renting from locations like this, or from Hertz, especially if they don't extend the simple courtesy of calling you beforehand to let you know that your rental is not at the location before you arrive.... read more

This Hertz location has consistent poor customer service. Hertz is getting beat by Enterprise because of this. When you make a reservation they need to hold a car for you no matter what time you walk in. They way they talk to you is disgusting. TheY make it sound like you are serving them instead CSR serving the customer. I always feel like l am getting a beat down. Hertz use to, if they did have the car you reserved available would upgrade you without charge. The hussy (don't remember her name-or if she is a manager) at this location tries to charge for the upgrade. That is ridiculous!!!! Hertz should know that this woman is making them lose customers !!! She is trying to keep her quota and and it won't work because of the way she treats people so badly!!! Hertz use to give you new cars---lately they have been high mileage beat up cars!!! read more

This company is a pain in the arse. First they didnt have the vehicle i rented, had to take a smaller vehicle. Then you cant pay with cash, i understand having one on file but you also have to leave a 200 dollar deposit for credit cards and 500 for debit cards, CRAZY! Then the car was dirty and smelled like cigars and was on empty . While on our trip the tire blew out took 4 hours out of our long drive to change the tire, wait on hold for an hour and drive to another location to swap to another vehicle to finish our trip. Then upon return theu tried to charge me an extra day. I have spent hours on the phone getting all the extra crap taken off. I feel like they where trying to rob me every time i turned around crazy. If there was a way to give a lower rating I would. I have had an issue with this location. Their customer service gives Hertz a horrible name. I have spoken to several employees and I have only gotten one person that has tried to help me. I have been dealing with an issue with them for over a week and a half and have spent almost 5 hours on the phone with still no resolve. It's beyond crazy! I was in an accident that wasn't my fault and dealing with the other insurance and having my car fixed was easier than dealing with any of this. I will never use Hertz again especially this location. read more

HORRIBLE! The customer service at this location is nonexistent at best. I have never been treated this way by a reputable company. My fiancé reserved a car and paid in advance. Upon pickup, they were unable to "read" the credit card... no chip reader. They told him that renting would not be possible. After exhausting other options proposed by my fiancé to no avail, the employee suggested that my fiancé call customer service. With customer service on speaker, the customer service rep told them exactly how to process the transaction. They said that they couldn't do it and that the phone rep "didn't know what he was talking about". The manager agreed with his employee. So my question was...what was the purpose for you to suggest that we contact customer service in the first place?! Could it have been to support your claim? But because he didn't AND gave you instruction, he suddenly "didn't know what he was talking about"? The manager and employee was extremely rude and insensitive. The customer service rep said that he would escalate the issue and notate their lack of effort. Not only will we never rent from them again, but hope that they find jobs that don't require customer interaction! ENTERPRISE... here we come!! read more
