I was sent here on Thursday, 5-30-19 with a reservation from an insurance company of a guy who hit our car and left the scene. I drove our SUV up there that was supposed to be dropped off at the body shop that morning after getting a rental. I was told by Brandon that there weren't any vehicles available. I asked about a Ford Expedition that was outside but was told by a female behind the counter that there was a reservation on it. I asked him if any other enterprises in the area may have something, and he stated that he could provide me with the phone numbers of all of them and I could call to see if they had anything. I asked him if he could assist me with that, and he stated "no" and that "we don't do that because other locations will not talk to me". I asked him why and he stated that they are in competition with one another and do not get along. I was frustrated at this point because I had my wife and 4 year old with me and wanted to get things rolling.
So off to the Dogwood Dr location we went. I was greeted (if you want to call it that) by Brian Thomas. Right off the rip i felt like he tried to get rid of me as soon as i walked in the door. He too stated that he didn't have any vehicles. When I told him about my experience at the Hwy 138 location, he started to look in his computer but said that he can't assist with trying to book anything at any other location. I said that was fine and I appreciated what he was doing. He then offered a Nissan Rouge. I told him that it was way too small and that our SUV had a 3rd row. I also told him that I was on vacation and were taking random road trips all week with 3 kids and that it wouldn't work, but if I wasn't on vacation it would have been fine. So I get ready to leave and tell him thanks but no thanks. As i'm walking out the door, a female associate was walking in. She told me that she had a Ford Edge that had just come in and that if I was willing to wait for it to be cleaned and checked, we could have it. I told her that was great and followed her back into the building. Immediately I felt like Brian had an issue with this because he told me that I couldn't have the Edge and that the Rouge was my only option. Then the female associate apologized to me and was like "I'm so sorry." I asked Brian why I couldn't have the Edge and he replied "We have customers who only like to drive Ford vehicles, so we need to save the Edge for one of those customers."
Infuriated, I left and headed to the Hwy 278 location. It was going on 10am at this point and my son was cranky and we were all hungry. While on our way to this location, my wife called Enterprise Customer Service at 1-855-266-9565. She got in touch with a female named Christina, who stated she was a supervisor over the insurance claim reservation Dept. My wife shared our experience with her and Christina seemed shocked and was documenting everything in the computer. Christina contacted the Hwy 278 location for us as we were arriving only to learn that they had absolutely no vehicles to rent to us, not even a sedan. So she stated that somebody would get back to us to address our situation but it could take a few hours. We thanked her, ended the call, and left that location.
We then went and ate breakfast. After that, I told my wife that I wanted to ride back through the Hwy 138 location before we went back home. When we arrived, I saw that the Ford Expedition that I had inquired about earlier was still on the lot. I went back inside with my tail between my legs and asked Brandon if he could just put us in a Rouge that they had on their lot (which Dogwood also had and we didn't want). I was desperate at this point and didn't want to mess up the appt I had with the body shop as I was already several hours late. Ultimately, Brandon got us in the Rouge successfully but as we were checking out at the counter, a female came in and stated that she had a Dodge Ram outside that she had just rented and it had an awful rattle so she wanted to trade it for a different vehicle. As we were leaving in the Rouge, that woman was give the Expedition right in front of us!!! Mind you our reservation was rated for a large SUV!
We drove to the airport the next day and swapped the Rouge for a larger SUV and only then were able to continue with our road trips. All said and done, we probably wasted a tank of gas running around because of this clownish company not to mention 2 days of my vacation. And don't bother calling customer service at the aforementioned number OR corporate at 314-512-5000 because NOBODY will get back to you. We called the main customer service number twice and corporate once and was told that management would get back to us and here it is 6-13-19 and we haven't heard a word!
