I had the worst experience with this company, because my family and I rented a 12 to 15-passenger van a month in advance, and at the last minute, just a day before, they canceled on us and told us that either the price was incorrect or that they couldn't get us the van, when we had planned our vacation a month in advance, They notify us that they can't get a van just a day before. We had our vacation all set for a long road trip to another state, and it turns out they couldn't do anything about it. They don't send you email messages, they don't send you text messages on your cell phone--only phone calls, and if you don't answer, that's the excuse they give you. They don't let you know ahead of time. So, I do not recommend this company; they don't take responsibility. Oh, and to get your money back, you have to make a bunch of phone calls because they don't take care of that either, They ruined our vacation just a day before when we had everything ready. I had a positive experience with this AVIS location. From start to finish, the employees at this specific location were very helpful when we were in a pinch. The facility itself was by far the cleanest and nicest of any AVIS we've been to. They didn't have the SUV size we needed but they offered a crossover that was good enough for our purposes. Rented a Tesla, attempting to test it out for a day before deciding to buy one. Checkout said that it was specifically a Tesla I was getting, not "or equivalent". However that verbiage only started popping up on emails. So I called, nervous I might get another car and the representative at Avis confirmed to me that it would indeed be a Tesla. I drove over to the location and got dropped off. Waited in the lobby for about 10 minutes while the employee talked to her brother about his birthday in a back room. Finally they came out, looked up my reservation and told me my Hyundai was ready. Then instead of helping me, they made me call the 1-800 number to process a cancellation. Horrible service. Bait and switch tactics. Not a good experience at all. Feel free to download their app and confirm that it doesn't say "or Equivalent" anywhere through the checkout process. read more

Avis is one of the most unprofessional rental companies I've ever dealt with. They double-charged me, falsely claimed I didn't make a payment, and kept stacking fees on top of each other even after they already took money from my account. When I questioned the charges, they gave me the runaround and refused to fix their mistake. Then, instead of working things out properly, they came to my home and threatened me with repossession and prosecution, all while lying about my payment history. It's clear they prey on customers with hidden fees, unfair charges, and intimidation tactics. If you're thinking about renting from Avis, don't do it! This is My 2nd time in about 4 years renting from this place. The first time was horrible, and I figured 4 years later it might be better. I was wrong. This establishment seems to just barely exist, enough to stay in business, without trying to hard. The two people I dealt with before are still the same people. For the record, my issue could be problem with Avis as a company, but the customer service portion is definitely with this location. I chose to come back here (1) because on their site, 2 weeks prior to my booking, there was a hybrid vehicle available. I need this for the fuel efficiency as I was going on a budgeted trip. (2) I also figured maybe after a few years, service would be better. During the two weeks leading up to my booking, I called twice to make sure the hybrid would be available, it was integral to my budget. I was told twice that yes they placed the order. According to the owner, special vehicles like the hybrid need to be special ordered At least 3 days in advance. I called well over 3 days and even got a confirmation email. When I arrived, the first thing she said to me after letting her know my name is: "so I don't have the hybrid, instead I have a Jetta (Less Fuel Efficient), or a Corolla (Less in Value)". The numb response she had tells me this is a commonality possible throughout the business. At this point, why exert effort? She proceeded to tell me I had two options, Pay extra for the Jetta or she'll give me a discount on the Corolla. What she REALLY meant was...the Jetta is more expensive than the hybrid, and the Corolla is cheaper, but I'll disguise it as a "discount". Further more, the car audio was not working on the right side and the Charging port in the car was not functional. This end's my review. read more

By far the worst rental experience I've ever had. I prepaid online for an SUV. When I arrived, I was told by that location that they did not have an SUV available. The staff then advise me that all they had available was a Toyota Camry. The staff then advised me that because I prepaid online, I would be forced to take the camery at the SUV price and there was nothing they could do to help me. They advised me that I needed to call customer service to resolve the issue. I would think because THEY did not have the car that I was promised, that THEY would remedy the issue and not have me take care of it for them. I also spoke to the female owner of the business and she could've cared less. Avoid this location at all costs. read more

I honestly don't get why they put people who aren't friendly to work in the front desk...I called before my rental once to let them know I was going to be about two mins late and then the old lady was rude and unpleasant on the phone. Getting to the place and actually seeing her in person I guess I can see why she's always mad, she doesn't do much and might be bored but I'm sorry that shouldn't be a way to treat a customer. Service was good. Got the car per my reservations made online thru @Avis. The only thing after making a long trip I stopped and put gas and I noticed the the tires where in bad shape. Driving in the rain with my kids on bald tires really upset me. When you walk around to inspect your car for scratches, I guess you should check the tires. read more

Posting this to here since this was the location. The attitude of isabel or whatever is ridiculous. I'm glad I left when I did. They couldn't/didn't want to pick me up. Pretended like they would do it when they got to it. This was after me calling them for 1hr. I had to drive down there. Then when I get down there I get more attitude from her and some old dude comes out acting like he's there for muscle. Also I'm hearing people in the back. Their network isn't working and it doesn't look like they have cars out. She tells me I have to give her my credit card so she can put a hold of $100 even though the company paid for the car. Which is a no no. I got a weird feeling and called the company while keeping an eye on them. Decided I was going to just get a rental somewhere else and they'll reimburse me. Most rental places I have gone too have hidden costs, limited car availability, disgusting offices, cars that smell like smoke (or worse), long waits, no Sunday hours, and staff with the personality of a bag of rocks. Wow, let me just start by saying this. I disregarded all of the other comments because I wanted to give this place a chance. Pick was smooth. Dropping off was a nightmare. I was a day late to return the car since their hours of operation one day was 9-12pm. One day cost me $100. I had the weekend special that was $45 plus some change. How the heck did my bill turn out to be $204? I asked the boss lady that worked there and she just told me " where is your contract " she had the worst attitude ever. I still tried to keep my composure but at the same time. I hear her talk to another rep., and overheard her say, " so much stress everyday ". Lady, it's only 10:30am. How the hell can you be stressed out for working 1 hour & a half? I feel like this is a family owned business. Oh yeah, let me mention something else. I left a little bait to see if they would be kind and good people. You know how the reps check the vehicle to see the miles on the car and such and such? Well, I left a prepaid debit card in there to see if they would give it back at the front desk. I left it right on the seat. Guess what! Nothing. I went back to check the rental car. It was gone. I rented a car from here through Lyft and just so you should know the adress is the same 1111 E Huntington they have a Lyft on the left and Uber on the right. I called to return my car yesterday they said they were there I drove 50 miles to get there all for it to be closed on a Saturday wtf! Literally Lyft is such a crappy company to work for honestly. I went to Uber they told me their closed sorry and they don't have a phone number. So Lyft is a multi million dollar company with no phone number for us to call for the rental car company or for us as employees this is complete bs! Also if you want to spent 2,951 on a car rental for less than 3 months then go ahead ! This place sucks so does Lyft ! They charge ridiculous rates and expect to keep drivers im talking 230 a week up to 400$ a week if you go over your "personal miles" they will charge you an extra 27$ per 50 miles. I will never work for Lyft or any rideshare company again waste of time waste of my own money and their a complete scam. Just like the rental companies are!!! Don't do it waste of time for that price I could have bought my own car or put a down on a nice car! This was the worst car rental experience ive ever had. I made a reservation with avis a week prior, and provided all details needed for the uber rideshare program. Today (Saturday) was my pick up at 10am. I was called at 8am to be told that uber isnt opent on the weekends, and ill have to pick it up on monday. 2 hours later (at my pickup time) they call me back to say the car is available, but my profile is not complete, and they cannot rent to me until i am a "preferred member". They give me a phone number which leads me to a busy signal. I was able to complete the "preferred member" profile online (even though the initial reservation call assured me i was set). I called back and they accept, and tell me to get there asap, since they close at 12 for uber. On my way, i am called again and told the car they were going to rent me has brakes that dont work, and they cannot rent to me until monday between 9 - 230p (when i am at work). Completely ridiculous. All they did was argue with me, and tell me i have no choice. Never again. read more

I have been coming to these guys for a few years now, thanks to a recommendation from a friend. It's further from my home than quite a few other rental shops, but they treat me really awesome here. Daniel is the guy who usually helps me, and it's great that he is bilingual. Me and him can talk in Spanglish! They are very good at meeting my needs and providing me with a clean well maintained automobile. And Daniel can give me useful info about gas mileage and whatnot before I take off. Where to begin... I have been dealing with their bad to say the least customer service.. The young guy who seems has been an employee there for years, provides a better service that the lady who appears to be the owner of the business. I've been coming here for years as this is the closest Avis to my house. But since I can remember.. I have never hear a "Yes your reservation is ready" NEVER! unfortunately is always this grumpy lady in the front receiving me with a "I have nothing, I can call you back if you want" and guess what, she never calls you back. Is not until you go back and talk to her employee who always seems to have a vehicle available for you, but after they make you wait 2 to 3 hours to ended up giving you one of the cars they had at the same parking lot all day. This time I got really upset because this lady made me go back to the gas station to put more gas in the car after I showed her my gas receipt showing that the car was full in gas. I went back and the gas tank was completely full! I was not able to fit $2.00 as I am sure half of it spilled outside the gas tank. I was so upset. She literally called me liar by not believing I put gas in the car. She said.. well the car showed only 3 quarters... omg.. the car showed it was full! well.. I am for sure not comping back. To bad because due to work, I have to rent vehicles every other week. read more
