I'm not only with you but I find most dentists to be my fears personified and rank a dental visit right up there with my worst nightmares. Now, that said, let me tell you about Dr. Goodman's office and why you want to go here. Dr. Goodman has a kind and caring staff that immediately make you comfortable. I don't just say that to say it; I really mean it. One of the things I respect about Dr. Goodman is his no-nonsense approach to dentistry. He will tell you what you need for your best dental health and not try to BS you. Earlier I mentioned a root canal in all of its negative connotations and wanted to say that my recent experience, while not pleasant since it was a root canal, wasn't a nightmare of pain and suffering either. As a matter of fact it was a fairly quick hour that included no pain and really was no more difficult than a typical filling. I've had dental problems all my life and have seen every type of dentist you can think of. The braggarts, the self-righteous, the ones who seem more like car salesman than doctor and the ones that are combination's of all the worst traits. Dr. Goodman is the real-thing and like the Dr. Pepper commercial discusses which is harder to believe: 1) Santa 2) A good tasting diet soda 3) A good Dentist you can trust to take care of you and not hurt you.. I called and the front desk staff was beyond helpful and pleasant. They were able to assess that I had an infection and gave me to instructions on how to take care of that. They also were able to squeeze me in to have my tooth pulled within the needed timeframe to provide relief as quickly as possible. Leading up to the procedure they called gave several reminders and ensured I was prepared for the big day. On the day of the surgery I arrived promptly and was greeted by the friendliest staff. I began to get nervous/overwhelmed and they helped me calm down to ensure I was comfortable while getting the procedure done. Dr. Naghibi entered the room and was so amazing. She ensured I felt minimal discomfort and literally coached me through getting my tooth pulled. I was so nervous to feel the tooth coming out and to my astonishment, I didn't feel a thing. She then gave me post op care and ensured I knew what to do in the coming days. Her surgical assistant was also amazing! I wish I remembered her name but she was so positive, informative, and also ensured I felt well taken care of! Amazing job, an extremely clean office, and I'll be back in the next few months to get an implant.

That made me hopeful that the whole experience would be the same - and it was. From the friendly (though stressed) receptionist, to Dr. St. Martin herself, to Rose, the hygienist, and the alternate receptionist who set up my next appointment, they are the most welcoming and friendly staff I've ever met, yet still very professional. Dr. St. Martin was thorough in her explanation of the health of my teeth and mouth, and asked me a couple of times if I had any questions. As she left me so Rose could come and clean my teeth, she wished me well and again said, "If you have any questions or need anything, have them get me and I'll come back." Wha-a-a-t?!? So awesome. I have Kaiser, and the co-pay of $30 is very reasonable. They advise a panoramic x-ray on first visit, for an additional $43, which I declined. The ONLY downside, and it isn't their fault, is the major construction project happening on three sides of their small building. It really limits access and they are going to expand their parking once all the fences are gone. Speaking of parking, I advise if you're approaching from Royal Farms side, to just go past the business and turn around at a nearby spot like the All-American Steakhouse. I would NOT try to turn left into their parking lot! All in all, I am supremely glad I read about Dr. St. Martin elsewhere, and decided to give her a try. Excellent dentist and all around great experience. Bonus: if I had to, I could easily walk from home - it's just about a mile.
