Their customer service is hands-down one of the most quickest ones I've ever dealt with. They don't mess around and take care of your questions right away. They are both personable and caring as well. read more

I am so pleased with Avid, there is nothing worse than having your dog run off because it saw deer, it was at night, 20 degrees and not knowing if my dog knew where he was. A neighbor took him in, they contacted Avid but luckily my son saw where he was. Griselda Sanchez was very helpful, they called immediately saying Riley had been found. If you are getting a dog please get them microchipped using Avid. I don't know if the results would have been the same if Riley wasn't chipped. P. Fernet read more

I have a lost dog and contacted Avid to see what steps I should take. Renee Dunlap called me and was helpful in telling me what to do and answered other questions I had. All-in-all very helpful read more

Got our pet micro-chipped for Avid PETtrac thru Hawthorne Dog & Cat Hospital. We were told by staff "the chip is useless unless you register it." But the only option to register the chip is a snail mail form that "takes up to 4 weeks to register." Avid customer service advised "just keep your pet close the next four weeks." It's an outdoor cat. Our recommendation to providers, Avid and potential customers: 1) Providers: please inform your customers that the only way to register is the form provided and that there will be a delay of up to 4 weeks until the chip is useful 2) Avid it's 2024. Find an IT fix to have vet provided prepaid registration as an online option without trying to charge EXTRA fees 3) Buyers: Beware! Your only option if purchasing PETtrac thru your vet is the prepaid snail mail form and (up to) a 4 week delay OR get suckered into paying twice by choosing to register your chip via online registration. I'm sure the service is helpful once activated but right now we've lost several hours trying to get answers. Not feeling great about the Vet, their staff, or Avid. read more

This company tries to email me about once a week to leave a review and then let them know. So they can give me a reward and I even attached the email they sent me telling me how I can win a raffle by reviewing not only on yelp, but on other services. They have made many mistakes in the enrollment of my dog and twice. They told me that my dog had not been enrolled when in fact it was. I'm not sure about the long term use of the company for finding your animal but it has been very difficult to update my name.Address and phone number because every time I called, they asked me to pay before they could do anything for me. But I had already spent quite a bit on the vet and chip. I understand the service has to be paid for and I did pay for the full surface but the representatives on the phone for this company tried to make me pay twice. They also messed up my email address. Multiple times after I very carefully spoke to them on the phone. This made a delay in updating my information. However, when I finally reached the third representative, she was extremely helpful. Didn't ask me to pay anything and I was able to update it. But my review, does I have to below?Because of the first two representatives that would not listen to a ward.I said until I agreed to pay again. read more

I called the customer assistance line at 10pm CST, expecting at most to be able to leave a voicemail. Instead I was met with the friendly voice of Jennifer ("JB"), who went on to go above and beyond in assisting me. She was extremely knowledgeable, and provided clarification and guidance for all my questions and concerns. Beyond just getting the minimum info necessary, she went the extra mile to thoughtfully consider my situation and partner with me to make sure it was fully addressed. This was one of those interactions that really stands out, and it made me confident in the company I've entrusted my furry friend's safety to! read more

My husband and I were on vacation when we got a call from our dog sitter our Maltese poodle Zoey was missing. I advised her to call me in the morning as I began to pray Zoey would be found. In the morning the dog sitter text that Zoey was still lost and I have never cried so much. However, my husband said he got an email, missed call on his phone, call to our vet and call to my phone trying to get a hold of us!! We thank God for Avid and it is only because she had the avid tag that the couple who found her was able to call. Thank you Avid for your professional, efficient and prompt attention. Annette Lupardo, Customer Service Representative with Avid was so incredibly helpful. we had lost our dog bear for 14 hours. I called avid and spoke to Annette. She told me that Bear's microchip was showing incorrect information. Annette went through the whole process of making sure Bear's information was corrected and she helped me registered and attach Bear's account to our other dogs information. About 15 minutes after we made the corrections someone brought Bear to a clinic and they scanned the microchip. Fortunately because of Annette, they were able to call me. read more

My dog is 7 years old now. There are so many missing dogs on social media and incorrect info on pets. We moved to a new address almost 6 months ago and needed to update just in case. Just had a great experience with Joshua the Customer Service Manager at Avid. We just had a vet visit for our dog and went to file the paperwork. We saw the original Avid chip enrollment paperwork and realized since the enrollment in 2014 we have changed email addresses and phone numbers. Knowing they wouldn't be able to contact us if something were to happen to our dog, I called Avid and Joshua answered the phone. The call only took a few minutes as Joshua did a quick update so a verification email could be sent allowing us to update our account information. Couldn't have gone smoother. Thanks Joshua and Avid! read more

I have an ID collar for my dog but felt she needed a chip. I called AVID and spoke to Joshua. He helped me complete the registration forms. The experience was very pleasant. read more

I never realized the importance of knowing the brand name to my animals chip but once I did recognize it in May of 2024 avid and all of the people that I spoke to were more than helpful and more than understanding and empathetic and all of the professional ways that anybody could ask for when it comes to a pet, rather a part of our family going missing or in our case kidnapped for 2 months and 4 days. Because avid was finally realized to me as the manufacturer of his chip, they were more than helpful in helping me figure out the type of services we should be using rather than the extra chip registering companies that are just in it for the money. I've also been trying to write this review for over 2 and 1/2 months and Yelp keeps glitching and I keep losing more and more thought processes. Register your dog's chip to the manufacturer who made the chip. Every other company is garbage and only in it for your money read more

Our 12-year-old cat was microchipped with an AvidID chip as a kitten. We've moved twice since then and I can't tell you how much of a relief it is to know that, if lost, our kitty's chip would guide the "finder" to our current contact info. The company allows you to update info over the phone for a small cost ($6 I was told today) or the great CSR (in our case, Renee) can send you an email link and you can do it online for free. This is after 12 years--and it's still free to update the contact info! You just don't see that kind of long-term commitment to customers these days--and I appreciate it. I also appreciate AvidID hiring native English speakers as CSRs--my phone call was routed quickly to Renee and her instructions were spot-on and accurate. And she was as personable as she was professional. 'Hope our kitty never needs your services, but I feel comforted knowing that, if he does, AvidID will get him back home to us! read more
