You can really taste the quality. Service was fast and friendly, even when it got busy, and the whole experience felt worth the wait. This was a great place to check out. I was surprised that it was actually literally an oyster bar…read more An actual bar in the middle of the casino. Wasn't sure what I was expecting when she said oyster bar, but it was not what I was expecting. . It was a cool vibe and one of the first things that stood out that she was surprised about was that there was no line. My friend said it's the first time she's been there and there was not a line. Treated her to dinner after letting crash at her place with less than 24 hrs notice. We were there on a Tuesday evening everything that we did this day appeared to be a light crowd day. Tuesday's is the day to go hang out in Vegas if you want shorter lines. I ordered the gumbo with only shrimp as the protein with the okra. It was yummy. I enjoyed it. The gravy was nice. I ended up with two bowls of white rice, which is not typically my choice. However, it was. It was great in there with the gravy and okra and I got the lowest spice level I could which was one so everything was pretty cool there large portions lots of shrimp. I cut my shrimp in half cause I like my things bite-size I have a very small mouth and I was laughing because they gave me a really large spoon which is too big for my mouth so I use my fork that came with a napkin. My friend ordered the BOUILLABAISSE. She powered through it quickly, so I think it was pretty tasty for her too. Three things that got my attention. 1. I enjoyed seeing them prepare our meal right there in front of us how efficient and clean and things were so that was great and it was a bit of a show. 2. They served me water with ice. I don't necessarily appreciate that. I don't like ice in my water and I would prefer them to ask me what I'd like to drink before just serving me something, there may be however, how they do it at bars I don't go to a lot of bars. I'm also sensitive because I have bladder disorder and cold things set off my bladder. 3. I didn't care for the dynamics and exchange that felt off when trying to pay with my tap from my phone. I had to literally give him the phone to do the payment and I feel like that's a little bit of a disconnect the purpose of my mind of doing my tap is so that I don't have to give you my card or my phone so I feel like that's something that's gotta be a little bit more efficient for them to work on especially how busy they are and you know the amount of traffic that takes place in a bar. I love the look and the set up. It felt really cool. It didn't feel like we were sitting in the middle of a casino although we were. I loved seeing them prepare the food from start to finish. That was also really great. I would definitely go there again if I'm in town and we're in the mood for that type of food it had the New Orleans, Louisiana flavor vide to theme to me and really clean. On that note so are the bathrooms. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the cleanliness and the speed to get in and out of the bathrooms. I'm always gonna give a review on the bathrooms cause they're very important to me as I do have bladder disorder. I hope you all find this read helpful.

That kind of flexibility alone already makes it stand out. This was actually my second visit, and the food did not disappoint. Everything came out flavorful, well-prepared, and satisfying in that classic diner-meets-Hollywood kind of way. It's one of those places where you don't have to overthink the menu--whatever you order just hits the spot. What we tried: High Roller Sampler L.A. Lasagna Surf & Turf Shrimp & Spaghetti Squash Citrus Kale The High Roller Sampler comes with a generous portion, making it perfect for sharing if you're dining with a group. Overall, the portions across the board are quite large, so you definitely won't leave hungry. Out of everything we ordered, the Shrimp & Spaghetti Squash stood out the most--it was easily the best dish we had. Really well-balanced and flavorful, and the one I'd personally come back for. One downside was the parking situation. Unlike some nearby hotels and restaurants that offer free validation for a few hours with a Nevada or local ID, this place still charges for parking even for locals. We ended up paying $18, which felt a bit disappointing. It would be great if they could improve this and offer a validation or complimentary parking option for local guests like other spots in the area.

I had the Loco Moco twice, and on another morning I tried the American Tradition eggs breakfast -- all delicious and cooked just right. My wife really enjoyed their French toast, which became her go‑to. The service stood out each time. The waiters and busboys were always attentive, friendly, and quick to help, no matter how busy it was. That level of consistency is rare, especially in Vegas. Prices reasonable for being Vegas. Overall, we had great experiences every visit and would definitely recommend Café Hollywood.

That said, when you can still get a 10oz top sirloin steak for just a little over $10 including tax, it's hard to complain too much, so I'd still give it two stars. Considering inflation and the current economy, it's obvious they've had to lower the quality of the cuts they use. Still, I honestly feel the meat used to be noticeably better before the pandemic. One thing I've always thought: ordering cheap steak medium or medium-rare is a mistake. These cuts tend to have a lot of connective tissue, so unless they cook it fairly well-done, it's just too tough and chewy to enjoy. I think top sirloin is actually one of the most difficult cuts to use for steak, because it's a cut that contains a lot of large and small connective tissue throughout the meat. With Wagyu, top sirloin can be incredibly tender, flavorful, and excellent as a steak. But the meat they're probably using here is Select grade or possibly even ungraded beef. Unless you have a very skilled butcher who really knows how to trim and break down the cut properly, I honestly don't think top sirloin of that quality works well as a steak. Do they still have that late-night / early-morning Egg and steak special? If I remember correctly, it even came with bread back then, and it was around the same price range. I'll probably try it next time. Overall, at this price point, it's something you can tolerate by telling yourself "you get what you pay for." But when a restaurant focuses on selling very cheap food, you can also feel the standards of the staff slipping, and there really isn't much in the way of service anymore. Of course, expecting high-quality food and excellent service at this price range is unrealistic, and the level of tipping generally reflects that as well. Still, it feels undeniable that the overall quality has declined in almost every aspect. Top sirloin

For starters, we were offered a bread basket that had a variety of warm breads with different textures and butter. I'm not much of a wine drinker, but I tried the Novella Moscato, its was light and refreshing. Ordered crab cakes, and was nicely plated. Between me and one of my friends, we couldn't decide between the steak and halibut, so we got both and our server offered to split the entrees between to plates so we each had our own plate. Also ordered baked potato with all the fixings on the side, and white cheddar mac & cheese. Our main course came nicely plated the bake potato and mac & cheese portions where huge. Everything was delicious! To top off our dinner, we were given a complimentary warm butter cake top with Vanilla Ice Cream and whipping cream on the side. This dessert has at least 3 servings because it was big. It was a wonderful experience! If your wallet is " sky's the limit", highly recommend if ever in Vegas! Great food, great service, and great location! Shoutout to our server, John A. for taking good care of us!

We opted to begin with Bread Service where we paid a nominal fee for striking Pretzel Bread and a wide variety of other bread products. Then we shared golden Fried Calamari, which to Diane's delight were all rings. This starter was accompanied by really spicy Sweet & Sour Sauce and a well-mixed aioli. Following this opener, I had a Mastro's House Salad with a cold and large shrimp spread out on top. Then I settled down to an 8 oz. Filet Mignon that was cooked perfectly medium rare as ordered, while Diane splurged on a 12 oz. Jumbo Lobster Tail with both Drawn Butter and Buerre Blanc. Our delicious sides included a Baked Potato, French Fries, sauteed Rosemary Garlic Mushrooms of mixed types, and drinkable Bearnaise Sauce. For dessert we were given a large slice of Special Occasion Chocolate Layer Cake accompanied by a heaping amount of Whipped Cream, without charge. This dessert that we shared was even better than the Warm Butter Cake for which Mastro's is known. The ambiance in the treehouse was romantic and intimate. And service by Sam and her assistants was impeccable.
