Martin and Christina are simply the best instructors to teach you SCUBA diving. They are patient, considerate, and understand that it can simply be hard to learn how to breathe calmly under water. This team is knowledgeable about the activity, clearly communicate the risks of diving and do their absolute best to teach you how to minimize these, and they are kind and patient. They have equipment for rent as well as for purchase, and they also run local dive trips in the Las Vegas valley, as well as going further afield to places like Catalina Islands in California, the west coast of Central America, and the Caribbean. My wife, son, and I have all learned from Simply Scuba and we are so pleased we did! read more

I rarely write reviews, but Simply Scuba is one of those rare exceptions. Martin and Christina are incredibly patient, dedicated, and supportive instructors. If you need extra time, they gladly give it. They understand the apprehension and nervousness that many new divers feel because they've been there themselves. Whether you're in the classroom or out at the lake, there is never any pressure or feeling of being rushed. You will not find two more relaxed and patient instructors. What really sets Simply Scuba apart is that certification is just the beginning. Martin and Christina make sure you become part of their dive community. Thanks to Simply Scuba, I've made new friends and found dive buddies for trips to Lake Mead and even exotic dive vacations. Simply Scuba doesn't just certify divers--they help create confident divers and lasting friendships. I highly recommend them. read more

Martin and Christina are excellent instructors. I'd give 10 stars if I could! I wanted to get my dad a special birthday present so I surprised him with scuba diving. Martin and Christina are extremely patient, answered all of our questions, and were absolutely terrific to work with. I encountered trouble with one of the skill assessments and Martin went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and proficient. The dive shop has cool merch and great quality diving supplies. Another cool thing - they have a dive community w/ meet and greets and often do dive trips to cool destinations. I'm glad I came across this gem - it's opened our eyes to how fun diving can be! read more

If you are looking for a shop that goes above and beyond, Sin City Scuba is one of the best in my almost 40 year diving history. Over a year ago I bought a new mask and fins for a dive trip to Fiji. The staff was extremely helpful at that time. Upon using the mask in Fiji, the mask strap would not stay locked. After I got back from the trip, I honestly forgot about it. Fast forward over a year and now I'm headed to Bali, which triggered my mask memory. I showed up at Sin City with the mask, no box, no receipt, no idea what credit card I used, fully expecting to have to re-purchase a new mask. Once they determined the locking mechanism was indeed defective, they gave me a brand new replacement on the spot. I didn't even have to ask. Zero hassle, all smiles and grins from the staff. Honestly, I just don't get that kind of exemplary, no hassle experience anywhere these days. Any shop that provides service beyond expectations deserves our business. Sin City Scuba earned my loyalty today, and you should check them out. read more

Very friendly and fair pricing. Plenty of parking.Good selection of mask types & sizes.

My wife -- already a certified diver -- wanted our son and me to learn SCUBA diving so we could dive with her in vacations. We looked for a competent dive instructor who was certified with NAUI or PADI. When we found Martin at Simply Scuba we knew he was the right choice for us. Martin believes in no stress, comfortable instruction. He is very knowledgeable and patient. His classes were engaging. We did our open water training at a local pool, and certification at Placer's Cove on the Colorado River. Martin and his dive assistant Christina were knowledgeable, careful and patient as we went through the certification steps. Simply Scuba offers a wide range of training classes. I would recommend Martin and team to anyone looking to become a certified diver. read more

Martin and his assistant, Christina are fantastic! My husband and I both were recently certified at Simply Scuba. Martin was very accommodating and flexible around our schedule to get us certified. He was very thorough and diligent in his teaching. When it came time to diving I shared some my fears before getting in the water. Both Christina and Martin were incredibly patient, supported me, and made sure I felt comfortable the entire dive. I never felt rushed and completed all of my dives feeling confident in my skills, thanks to both of them. Highly recommend getting certified here! read more

I appreciated their diligence to safety while certifying my partner for open water. Timely, knowledgable, quality gear, with advanced scuba instructors. More in depth gear review than other diving schools I have gone through. Thank you! read more

I was just certified by simply scuba on 10/24/21. This was the best experience. Martin was very attentive and paitent and very professional. I have ADHD and I tend to get distracted often and I have some anxiety and I crack jokes when I'm nervous like when I'm trying to squeeze into a wet suit for the first time . Martin just asked that I be honest with him and how I was feeling and that together we would get through it. He had told me about his earlier experiences when he was learning and that with time and practice it all comes together just fine. I never felt like I was being rushed or that he was getting frustrated with me ,he had no problem repeating his instructions so that I understood. My husband and I are planning on bringing our son to Martin so that he can also get certified such a great way to learn I wish all leading was this fun! read more

Booked a dive with Martin over the phone. A few emails and everything was set. Coming from central Florida water temps were alot cooler. Martin had the appropriate wetsuit rentals and hoods to make me feel comfortable. Location and scenery were amazing. Overall a great dive. read more

I just got my open water certification with Martin at Simply Scuba, it was a fantastic experience. Martin was patient, attentive and very professional. He took the time to explain everything and had that personal touch if a individual student was having difficulties. Martin / Simply Scuba is excellent. If anyone's driving to Zion for canyoneering, RENT YOUR WETSUITS FROM HERE. It will be *significantly cheaper* than trying to get it in/near Zion. My friends and I rented some equipment from Martin on our way to Havasu Falls and we're glad we did. He's an affable guy. We were delayed on our way back, but Martin didn't charge us for an extra day. He was easy-going and generous. I'm definitely coming back. read more

I graduated with my open water certification this past weekend and I am so happy I chose Simply Scuba. Martin's deep knowledge, dedication to his students success, and support made this an incredible experience and I can't wait to go on my first certified dive! I have always wanted to get certified and never thought about diving as being scary. When I did get scared I greatly appreciated the patience that Simply Scuba preaches and practices. When I first started researching certifications and PADI versus NAUI, I found the NAUI certification went into depth a little more than PADI and I wanted to know everything I could to be prepared underwater. I found that Simply Scuba offered the NAUI certification and was close to my house, so I went into the store to talk about pricing and the differences between certifications. Although the NAUI was slightly more expensive than the PADI, I knew this was the right decision for me after meeting Martin. After I had made my decision, I went back to the store to sign up for classes and buy gear. Scott was super friendly and knowledgeable when it came to what gear was needed and the pros and cons to each brand. Setting up the classroom sessions was so easy! Martin worked around MY schedule and met with me after work to complete the classroom hours. Classroom sessions are never fun to sit through, but Martin kept me engaged and interested in each topic. When it came time to schedule the pool and lake sessions again Martin worked around my schedule. The way he is so flexible and willing to do any schedule for his students is something you likely won't find at another dive shop. At this point, I was ready for the lake and my first official dive. There's certain skills you have to run through during each dive to ensure you know how to handle each potential situation. As we start the first dive and the first set of skills, I panicked and headed to the surface. Christina was there for me through the whole thing while I calmed down. She kept the situation light and helped me work through my mental block. On the 2nd day of diving, I knew I would have to tackle this skill that was holding me back. Martin made suggestions and gave instructions go what I needed to do. He was so patient with me and assured me to take my time. He helped me push past my fear and I completed the skill. Without his patience and calming presence, I might still be struggling with this skill. Martin and Christina made the dives so enjoyable and fun! I'm so grateful to both of them and can't wait to go on more dives with them. read more

I called in advance to have my air tank filled, after driving all the way over to have this done no one was capable of do a simple task. So if you want to take the chance of going all the why there an having someone without any knowledge to help you than I would look at other stores. Good luck It funny owner sticks with manager look out everyone read more

Very easy in the teaching and technique. My mom is very scared but he is very patient and accommodating.

Exactly what it says stress free scuba training. Martin is very patient and goes the extra mile he also gives you as much time as you need to pass your underwater skills Haley recommended and perfect fit for those who may need more time to get comfortable. read more

Martin is very nice friendly an knowledgeable. I tagged along to the lake when he was training a mother and daughter. He set expectations for the dive and had all the gear for me top notch. He even helped me arrange a ride. I was calling to inform I didn't have a ride so please do not wait on me. Without skipping a beat and to the true dive family atmosphere he said he would pick me up. This is a big hassle for him I am sure. I am very thankful for his help and experience for the day. One of his original students Chris was also on the dive with us again nothing but family vibes. Thank you guys when I am back in town we will bbq and dive read more

Martin was a fantastic instructor for scuba certification. He was extremely flexible in working with my work schedule and my daughter's competitive swim schedule. I took my first scuba class with Martin at Simply Scuba and highly recommended to anyone interested in scuba diving. He offers small informative classes that made me feel safe and confident along every step of my certification. I recently took my first open water dive in Catalina that was perfectly orchestrated by Martin and a great experience. I only regret not pursuing this hobby sooner and look forward to future dives and classes with Simply Scuba! read more

Taking lessons over the past month, doesn't usually take this long but my schedule is crazy. Inspite of time table I'm never rushed by them and hasn't cost me 1 cent extra for classes on my schedule. Also NAUI certification is more in depth including free training you pay extra for with PADI. read more
