Avgo, my favorite local restaurant. The staff is always incredibly pleasant, and I have to give a special shoutout to Mimi, the bartender--she's fantastic! AVGO is a really cute place for breakfast or lunch. I really liked the atmosphere and decor. It was bright, clean, and colorful. They were pretty busy when we got there, but we could tell the staff was a bit backed up with open tables yet no one being seated due to being busy setting up for a large party and cashing out guests. At one point, one of the servers came up to the manager and asked, "what's going on? Can I seat people? What are we doing?" They seemed a little overwhelmed. After we were seated, we learned it was our servers first day, and she did amazing! We had a great dining experience. Their breakfast menu is larger than their lunch menu, but everything looked really yummy! The portions were HUGE! I was a little disappointed by the avgolemono. The menu said it was the same as Theo's, which is my favorite, but it tasted more like a creamy potato soup that had rice instead of potato. It wasn't lemony at all. The loukomada French toast tasted just like loukamades - if you've never had that/don't know what it is, trust me. You'll love this. The omelette was giant, and the red velvet pancake with Nutella was decadent. Overall, I enjoyed AVGO. I'm sure I'll be back again in the future! read more

I was a regular there. I'd go every Sunday because it was a REALLY good spot to have breakfast or lunch, until it wasn't anymore. The last few time we've been, there cups were not clean. Plates and silverware had a very funny smell to it made it hard for me to enjoy my coffee or my food. I haven't been pleased for the few times I've been..it's actually disappointing. read more

Told the manager the same thing and he did nothing. My french toast was horrible. It was not eggy and the bread was bare and dry, like they flipped it over on the grill but never put the bread in an egg mixture. AVGO has gone down and I will not recommend them to anyone again. What a great option for the region! I've had breakfast at AVGO a few times, and my family have been here for lunch and we have never had complaints. Breakfast for two with coffee came out to 33 dollars, and for the portions we got that is more than reasonable. We had a Benedict and an omelette, as well as an iced and a hot coffee. The omelette was so big that I now have leftovers for probably two more meals. Everything came out hot, well cooked, and very delicious. Their outside space is also so cute. They've added a screened in porch that is very comfortable. My only small criticism is that they seem a bit understaffed and the entry area can get a bit congested as people are waiting to be seated and to pay all in the same spot. We arrived a little after 10AM on a Friday morning. We were able to get a seat right away. This was our first visit here but had heard great reviews of this place. This restaurant has about 30 or more tables and a separate counter for people eating alone. It's clean and inviting and the people are very friendly. My wife loves biscuits and gravy and asked about the amount of sausage in the gravy. She doesn't like a lot of meat in her gravy. Instead of explaining to us what she felt, she brought over a sample in a small bowl. It was perfect. This is a great example of customer service. Oh, I should include that Diana was our server. The portions are huge and delicious AND all at a reasonable price. My wife ordered the biscuits and gravy to go for breakfast at home the next day. She ordered the banana split French toast. Pictures included. One word. Decadent. I had the omelette. There are several to choose from. They all have 5 eggs. Hasbrowns and either toast or pancakes. Too much for either of us to eat.
