This salon is AWESOME. I'm pretty picky about my nails. I wear acrylic nails, but I wear them VERY short and I do not like them thick. I had seen a gal's nails at the gym and asked where she had them done (hers were shellac) because they were BEAUTIFUL. She referred me to Avenue Nails. I dropped in on a Monday for a fill-TAYLOR was my tech. She was sweet, and did my nails to PERFECTION. The price was too cheap I thought: $20. The salon is quiet, clean, and the employees aren't carrying on between one another in a foreign dialect. Going back today for a pedicure. I'm hooked! read more

Uhmmm so I have been going here just because it is relatively inexpensive and it shows. My nail technician is very sweet and kind her name is Taylor, but she does very thick acrylics even when I asked her to thin them out they became still very thick. My most recent time I went back here and it was very slow. It took probably an hour and a half for a nail repair and a fill. Which it just shouldn't take that long. When I was done I was kinda pleased then one week later my nail color shifted and started to get dark streaks in them. Then not to mention my nails started to hurt and I peeled my polish off and it turns out that I had nail fungus under all of my nails( I'll Insert a picture of one of my nails). This means that they need to clean their supplies and drills cause I'm very unhappy that I paid $40 for nail fungus from other clients. Not to mention it's very unsanitary and other people should know about this. There just isn't a really good nail salon in West Linn unfortunately. read more

Gave them a second chance after a bad experience a couple years ago. Wish I had not wasted my $. My daughter made her appointment for nails more than a week in advance for Prom. Things were fine until 3 girls came in asking for more than what they had scheduled for. Nail tech (same one I had years ago) was obviously angry, instantly became rude, started rushing my daughters nails, outwardly huffed several times actually said out loud "I don't have time for this" when my daughter reminded her she wanted jewels and did a really crappy job. The nails were filed crooked, she only put one coat of acrylic so the old nails showed underneath, the nails were painted incorrectly, the jewels were put on haphazardly. They looked awful. My daughter, being taught to be respectful and understanding did not say anything. If it hadn't been prom, not wanting to risk causing a scene and ruining everyone else's experience, I would have confronted the tech for her rudeness and told her this was the same reason I had stopped coming years ago. Lovely woman until things don't go her way and then becomes very rude and makes customers feel bad for asking for what they want. I ended up taking my daughter to my nail salon who fixed them beautifully even though they were also slammed with prom girls. read more

I came here for a manicure by myself, and the two available technicians were sitting in the pedicure chairs on theirs phones. Neither of them wanted to take me and continued texting until one finally got up and set up a station. The quality of the manicure was 2 stars, attitude 1 star. My regular nail salon was closed so I decided to give Avenue Nails a try. I had a pedicure and shellac manicure. The gal cut my cuticles to far back causing hang nails. I had 2 nails that needed repaired and instead of using powder or acrylic she used nail glue and of course it didn't hold and I have one very short nail from the break and the other repair is about to break off. I always have Annie do my nails (the other lady has messed them up before) and she does them perfectly! I show her a picture of what I want sometimes and it is absolutely flawless. Ive been going to Avenue nails for over a year. I have Acrylic nails and get them filled every 2 weeks. I started with Taylor she was very pleasant, but she left without any explanation from the girls. I then started seeing Annie who used to be pleasant. Im not sure what happened but you can feel the tension in the salon. From the beginning i noticed how dirty the salon was and tried to block it from my mind because i really liked how my nails looked. Its hard to find a place that will shape my nails correctly (oval) and I dont like thick nails so as far as the job done on my nails they do an awesome job. Within The last 3 months Annie started being rude. She grabs my fingers hard and then pushes them a side when finished in a very rude manner. I have arthritis in my fingers so its painful. Ive asked her if shes angry because of they way she treats my hands so roughly. She just giggled and was gentler until my next appt. she seems irritated that im there and doesn't say a word. I kept going because they do a great job. However, with the way i was treated (i tip very well) and the unsanitary tools and just gross dirty salon Im not going back. I have never seen any tools get disinfected EVER. The thing you stick your hand in to dry your nails feels like theres something gross inside the machine. It looks as if its never been cleaned. I would not recommend this place to anyone. In fact, I'd go as far to tell anyone & everyone not to go here. The new owner Annie (although she will tell you the old owners still "own" it) is awful. She is unprofessional, extremely rude & downright horrid at eyelash extensions. I've had lash extensions on for 6 years & I've never had anyone cut my real lashes off or glue lashes to my skin. My experience was so bad that I had to pay to have the ones Annie put on taken off the following day (by Kimmie at Miss Knockout who is SO GOOD but not convenient) because I could not close my eyes all the way without pain, pulling & discomfort. My eyelids were swollen, red, irritated & I no longer had any real lashes to reapply extensions to because Annie cut most off. I now have to use LiLash & wait for my real lashes to grow back in. No one should ever go to Annie for anything eyelash related. It is unclear if she even has proper training to perform such a service. There are so many nail salons in West Linn to choose from other then Avenue Nails. If you are looking for a local, wonderful eyelash person go to Vanessa at Aqua Nails. She is sweet, kind & very good at extensions. The new set of staff at Avenue Nails (a couple people have quit/left since Annie took over) is a far cry from what it once was when Tracy & her husband owned it. This place is truly awful. read more

I came here for the first time with my sister last week and we had a great experience!! We each got a deluxe pedicure, and a deluxe shellac mani. The foot massages were wonderful, the hot towel treatment was amazing, he paraffin wax on our feet felt so good. I'm 9months pregnant and I left there feeling so good, my feet weren't sore at all! The paint job on my toes is SO cute!! I asked for a design on my toes and I told the guy to do whatever he wanted to, and I was not disappointed! My shellac mani was also very nice, the hand massage felt SO good, and the paint job is great! It's been almost a week and it hasn't chipped or peeled or anything, I've had no problems with it. I also had the guy do a design on my fingernails and it is so cute! My sister and I had a great experience here, and we will definitely be making this our regular nail salon. Oh! If I could leave zero stars I would. The plus side is that they took me as a walk-in. And it's in my neighborhood. The pros stop there. I had shellac from a different place two weeks ago and it was time to refresh the polish and take some length off. The first technician used foil wraps that were already shaped and stored in a tote box, and seemed to be freely used on any client. Once they were done with my nails, the wraps were stored back in the box. It was just aluminum foil. Can they not use new foil on every client? How is that sanitary? Second technician took over and he asked what shape I wanted. I said still round shape, just filed down shorter. He then asked again what shape do I want. I told him again, rounded shape, just slightly shorter. Most places I've been to will file down the first nail and ask if it's a good length. Then proceed with the other nails. He just dove right in and clipped all my nails on one hand to start and left only the minimal length to file down to their shortest possible length. I was shocked and told him it was too short. Why so short? Well, too late now. I've seen other reviews state the same thing. They clearly don't like to do nails with any length to them. I was then told the color I picked out would be a higher charge and to pick a different color if I didn't want to pay for it. Why not tell me when I first picked out the shade? The samples didn't even list that higher price, and after my nails were trimmed to the bare edge, now this. So I took some time to go back over the colors and he kept saying "You want color or no? You want color or no?" I felt rushed and unwelcome. I felt like I wouldn't be leaving with a result I liked. After that, I honestly went into the restroom and cried. I've never had an experience like this at a salon where they treat clients like this. The metal tools were not soaking in Barbicide. I have no idea if those are sanitized at all. They first took the UV light from my station, then took it to the pedi station. Then brought it back to me. Since the experience was already downhill, I didn't even want to point out how gross that was. There were at least three other lamps they could have chosen. The only saving grace was that I didn't pay for this manicure and invest in their poor practices. A few nails are rippled and there are bare edges, but likely because the color was put on after the tech said he wouldn't charge me at all, and they clearly wanted me out the door. That's fine, and I won't be back. I will also cross my fingers that I don't get some sort of disease from their unsanitary tools and practices with switching lamps from feet to hands, and tools not being soaked in sanitizing solution. Please save your time, money and energy and go some place else. I had originally thought "It's just shellac, nails grow back." But just don't even go to chop shops like these. read more

Worst fucking nail place! Everyone was talking shit in there when I went with my friends you could tell. I literally paid $30 for a half assed 10 min pedicure. Also they were very sketchy when we got the receipts to sign. The girl kept saying sign here and was covering the tip portion as if we were stupid enough to sign & leave so she could easily add her own tip. Also, this entire place is unsanitary the way they go about things is pretty dirty. I saw the girl cleaning the pedi tubs with the same un sanitized brush she used for the one before & just rinsed it quick before closing. The girl who did my pedicure told me to wait in between my 10 min pedi & went to check someone out with her gloves on that she had on for MY PEDI!!!! SHE WENT AND SWIPED THE CARD WITH HER GLOVES ON AND DIDNT THROW THWM AWAY TO USE NEW ONES ON ME. Credit cards are filthy and she had the nerve. Luckily for them I was in no mood to have a bitch fit so I just didn't tip & will never return. I will be checking my bank account to see if they went in and charged me more than $30 because that's how sketchy his place is. SAVE YOUR TIME & MONEY. Don't know how this place has 4 stars. Its bad enough that they are incompetent, but to pretend to not understand me when I speak plain english to them is unforgiveable. I wanted my nails re-done, WITHOUT FAKE TIPS. I have not had fake tips on my nails the entire time I have gone to this salon. Without missing a beat she removed the old nails and then began clipping off my natural nails. Just like I had told her not to. Now I have crappy tips, a crappy nail job with spots everywhere and an incompetent nail technician to thank for it. I brought my daughters here and had a relaxing pedicure. I was most impressed with their helpful attitude when I scuffed my pretty new toe in the parking lot. They fixed it right up. Then they offered the same customer service 1/2 hr later when I walked in, scuffed up again, after a shopping cart ran over my toe.
