My after picture !

I had the BEST time at my most recent visit with madysen! We did a change from my normal and took me more lived in plus a trim (which I absolutely needed) and I could not be happier. From the way she presents herself down to the thorough consultation we had, I knew I was in good hands. You can tell she truly loves what she does in ability to make it look effortless. I will most definitely continue to see her and look forward to coming to the salon!

WORST SALON EXPERIENCE EVER! PLEASE READ AND SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND HAIR DAMAGE. They previously removed my review off Google since the truth and accountability hurts feelings. Here's another attempt at saving anyone else the trouble. If I could give 0 stars I would. I've been getting my hair done for 8 years, this was my 2nd visit with Courtney. Both times I provided clear instruction and description of expectation with confirmed understanding by her. First visit, I was understanding it was our initial encounter and remained reasonable to the fact establishment and preference takes time. Second visit, I ask for the same as my first which was a full highlight, concerned about blending at the root and air touch on top to ensure blending was done well. Generally in my 8 years of hair coloring, I get a root smudge to ensure adequate blending. This time she recommend there was not a need. Results are as seen in the photos below. I would NOT recommend seeing her or supporting this salon in its entirety. Specifically for the fact she did not see the obvious issue with clear inaccuracy of work or requested outcome, poor quality of work, lack of detail orientation, or ability to handle constructive criticism. Upon "completion" of this appointment I expressed multiple concerns regarding clearly concerning areas as seen in photos. She diminished my concerns of wanting a root smudge and said "I mean if it's that big of a deal to you then you can come back to get it done but it only lasts a few washes". I mentioned how surprised I was that she wasn't able to get any closer to my roots as it looks grown out already. Her response was, "I don't think I can get any closer to the root". I reassured her that I was confident she could get closer as I've never had someone do a fresh color so far off, I also tried to reassure her that I came to her because her displayed work gave me confidence in her ability and I'm willing to give it another shot. She seemed understanding and also reassured me if I wasn't satisfied that I could make a decision within 7 days of my appointment and they would accommodate my needs and fix the issue without cost. With that said, I called the following 4 days after my appointment with left voicemails and got no returned call. When I reached out again, someone named Alicia finally answered who did not allow me to explain my situation and interrupted me with the assumed knowledge of the stylist, Courtney. Alicia expressed I could come in for a root smudge but because Courtney stated I refused it when offered that I would have to pay for it. Attempting to explain my side, Alicia diminished my perspective and dissatisfaction with the fact it should've been done from the start but was discouraged. When I called back to speak to Alicia again, I requested additional highlights to be done on areas that were not done at all or properly. Alicia stated that would also be at my own cost. What happened to the culture of the customer being right, with reasonable intent? As a small business, it is astonishing the "front desk manager" Alicia or store owner wouldn't do everything in their power to ensure a satisfied customer with compensation for such inability. I don't shit on small business ever, go ahead and read my other established reviews. If anything, I encourage small business but this salons ethic speaks to much more.

This is the balayage. Does anyone see dark to light!??? Not me!

When I reached out to the salon due to a promotion they were running for a free haircut with color service they told me they could get me close to the balayage I was asking for with a picture. I was there for three hours and after my hair was dried I told her it looked nothing like a balayage. She made excuses and blamed my hairs inability to change to that color. Then I got the bill for $292!!! Seriously?!?! I cry on the way home because the hair looks awful and decide to call back the next day to have them fix it or give my money back. They refuse to answer my phone call four times, so I called from a friends phone and they answered. They asked for pictures which I sent them and they told me there was nothing they could do to help me. This place is terrible!!! Also, Grace did not know how to do a balayage. Avoid this place like the plague.

Went in for the Magic Sleek, Miranda worked on my hair and was incredibly sweet, attentive and patient because my hair was very difficult to work with. Would highly recommend her and will definitely return!

Second visit.

After receiving two bad haircuts in the area in one day and woefully down on my hair Crazy Horse…read morewas recommended to me at my eye doctor. I was telling them about my two horrible haircuts in a row experience so they had pity on me and recommended this salon stating everyone there was good. Being a gambler with little hair left I called to make an appointment and was able to get in fairly quick (3 days and one of those Thanksgiving). How good can they be if I got in so quickly I wondered. The salon was very large and very nicely done and I guess the size of the place and the number of stylist is why I didn't have to wait a week or more to get in. Their newest stylist I was told had been there a mere 7 years. I don't think they experience much turn over here and after my haircut experience I can see why. The atmosphere is casual yet clean modern professional without being too froufrou. I was blown away with Cheryl and what a great job she did repairing what was left of my hair. I really thought it wasn't salvageable! I didn't know it was possible for my hair to even feel like a great cut running my fingers through it. It both looked and felt good!!!! I recently moved to the area and kept putting off cutting my hair and was dreading the task but had no idea how dire my predicament. Fear not anyone in my situation because Crazy Horse is THE place to go! Be you new to the area or here for the season you have to check this place out. Thanks again to Cheryl you really saved me!

I'm a little late to post (I've been going to Scott for several months now) but wanted to jump on…read moreand tell everyone how amazing he is. I have "tricky" hair (very fine with cowlicks and random waves) and Scott is literally the only stylist I've been to who knows how to work with my hair and make it look not only great the day of the cut but also in every part of the grow-out phase. We started with a cute precision bob and then ultimately took the plunge and opted for a super-short pixie which I LOVE. I thought about growing it out (knowing that he would make it look fantastic during every stage) but I probably will keep it short, as it gives me more excuses to go visit him haha! Jokes aside, I really can't speak highly enough about him. Super great guy who listens to his clients and is clearly an expert at his job. Thank you so much, Scott!! -Melanie S.

In one hyphenated word: RIP-OFF…read more Scheduling: annoying, deficient and hypocritical. (Yes, hypocritical.) Booked appointment days in advance and was required to give credit card (so JGS can charge for 24 hours or less cancellation). Not even the elite salons do that. The irony? 3 hours before my appointment, JGS called to cancel ("reschedule" me with someone else -- but let's face it -- that's a cancellation). My appointment had been scheduled for 2 PM, but was re-scheduled to 3:30 PM (at great inconvenience to me). Even more frustrating was that the stylist I was re-booked with was still working on another client and so my appointment didn't start until 3:40 PM. Normally I wouldn't mind -- I get it, appointments run over -- but under the circumstances? Not acceptable. Desk Receptionist (Vanessa): Condescending and indolent. Marketing: $50 hair cut "for new clients" is a deceptive ploy to get you in the door. There is tiny font that says "starting at," however, JGS surprise prices you. Also, added to every bill is a "5% Service Fee" (what the...???) and a $1.00 "Eco Fee" (again, what the...??). Surreptitious, deceptive, scam marketing and hidden, invented fees. Are you kidding me??? Hair cut: eh. The technique is textbook, not talent. Basic hair-cut requested, and the result is adequate, but not great. The stylist's predecessor client's hair was also just "eh." When you leave a hair salon, that's when your hair usually looks it's best and one feels great. Not the case at JGS. (The stylist herself, however, was very sweet and easy to talk to, but, c'mon, you ain't paying to make friends.) I discussed coloring, highlighting specifically, and was a bit horrified when the stylist endeavored to explain how the highlighting process worked and spoke of bleaching. Bleaching? Are you serious? I've had highlighting done for the last 15 years -- bleaching was not used because it destroys one's hair. The stylist was unfamiliar with non-bleach highlighting. Environment: phoney upscale m, corporate cookie-cutter, with overly loud music. Not peace-inducing at all. Product: they sell and use one (Aveena). If you have never tried Aveena let me spare you: overpriced disappointment in a bottle. JGS is not what it gives off airs of being. If you seek an upscale, classy, quality salon with real-world experience and knowledge beyond hair-care 101, this ain't it.
