I'm really disappointed with the service I received at this location. I came in on Wednesday, September 17th, around 3:00 PM, and was helped by Shauna. My first experience at this store had been great, which is why I came back, but unfortunately, this time was the opposite. I went in simply to purchase a new shampoo. Right away, Shauna assumed I wanted the smaller size when I hadn't even asked about size. When I agreed to purchase the one she offered ($75, which came out to $80 with tax), I handed her a $100 bill. She told me she couldn't accept it because she had already taken a $100 earlier in the day and would have to "recount everything" for closing. She even pulled out the $100 bill to show me. She made it sound like her closing procedures were my problem, which felt very unprofessional and dismissive. I found this especially frustrating because this store is located at Victoria Gardens -- a very busy shopping center -- and it's hard to believe they can't provide $20 in change. The way it was handled felt rude and unnecessary, and it ruined what should have been a simple purchase. It's unfortunate because this is the closest location to my home (less than 15 minutes away), and my first visit was a good experience. Came in for a hair analysis. There was one staff working, and she was friendly, welcoming, and took the time to chat with me and my friend for 15-20 minutes. She recommended a product line for my hair concerns and provided samples to try before committing to a purchase. I really appreciated the personalized attention and no-pressure approach. read more

Came in to pick up a bottle of Rosemary Mint Shampoo, which is my favorite shampoo to use. We all know Aveda makes fabulous products, so I'm here to share about the store and service. The store itself is a attractive store with a nice assortment of products. The people working there are welcoming and super friendly. They take the time to answer any questions, explain products, and help in any way that they can. Jenna helped my wife and me, and she was fantastic! She spend a lot of time answering questions for my wife and going over the products. Jenna also offered to do a hair/scalp analysis on my wife and also a nice spa type therapy on her scalp and neck. I work nights so when I left work in the morning I headed straight to Aveda to replenish my mascara reserves. The store opens at 10am so I read e-mail and took a nap in my car. At 10am I tried to enter the store, but the door was locked. I waited 5 minutes then called the corporate office. The representative said she did not know why the associate wasn't there, but she would have her call me. I visited Williams Sonoma then went home. I received a call from the associate. She had gone to the restroom. She apologized and asked if she could bring my order to me at home when she left work for the night because of the inconvenience. Around 9pm she showed up with my purchase and a few additional goodies. I really appreciate this act of kindness. I am an Aveda customer for life. read more

I took my son yesterday to cut his hair and was very dissatisfied. His stylist was a blond girl, very nice and polite but you could tell she was new or very inexperienced. He grew his hair all summer so he had plenty to work with. He wanted a messy long hair style but she gave him a bowl haircut. She didn't layer or thin out his hair but only gave him the egg shape. Today I took him to fix his hair, it's his first day of school this week, I don't want him to have a horrible experience due to his bad hair. I am not mad just disappointed, maybe speak and say "sorry, I am not capable of such haircut" instead of messing up a kid. BTW- she left his neckline so sloppy, she didn't clean up at all, when we got home I had to clean up the neck to remove the visible fuzzies read more

I started coming to this Aveda Store a couple months ago to help me with my acne. I have very sensitive skin on top of my acne and no other treatment has helped me, till Aveda and the Aveda Team in Victoria Gardens. Antoinette and Katherine make the store feel very welcoming, in the condition my face was in I felt very insecure going out to find products that would help, but with Antoinette and Katherine I was so comfortable around them, speaking to them about my skin condition and they are both so attentive and caring and that was with every customer I've seen them help! Aveda has helped me greatly with my skin, but the Team has helped me feel comfortable in my skin, I've come to this store many times and each experience has only been better. I'll continue to only come to this store because of the atmosphere the girls that work here give. Thank you so much to both Katherine and Antoinette for helping me feel better in my skin and give me products that work! Not only does this location have great customer service. ***Update:*** A few days later after my initial review and I am happy to say that the situation has been fully resolved and I am very happy with the level of service from Store Manager Glenda. After I posted my review, I was contacted by Glenda who was incredibly empathetic to my concerns and very responsive. My item was shipped via overnight delivery and she also offered to personally deliver it to me in lieu of shipping! After the item was shipped, Glenda contacted me to give me a new tracking number, and sent my item with overnight delivery. The item arrived as promised, and furthermore she also called me the day after to confirm that I did receive it. I am extremely pleased with the excellent level of customer service I received and happy with the overall outcome. I think this goes to show that although I encountered an issue initially, the manager here was quick to resolve and only goes to show the quality service to expect from shopping at Aveda. Thank you ! *** I visited the store on Sunday July 23 and was assisted by Bobby. Overall service was great and Bobby was attentive and answered all of my questions. However it is very disheartening that I have to leave a one star review over lack of customer service and follow through after I left the store. I purchased the Pramasana Purifying Scalp cleanser, which was out of stock at the time I visited. Bobby offered to have the product shipped to me, and not only that, but he would also call me as the product had been shipped out. It is now almost three weeks later and I have not received the product, nor has Bobby or anyone called me regarding my product. I called last week to check on the status and was put on hold by another associate that informed me they shipped the item out on July 27th. I live in Chino Hills. A package traveling via FedEx from Rancho Cucamonga to Chino Hills should not take 2.5 weeks. The associate that I spoke to, who's name I cannot recall, also told me that, "Bobby probably got really busy and that's why he couldn't call." Understandable, however I did not ask receive such call and it was offered as a courtesy to me. Nearing the third week mark of my visit, it is a little silly that I have had to wait this long for a $35 item. At this point and time, Bobby nor a manager or anyone else has called me. The associate gave me the tracking number and very curtly said she didn't know what else to do. My package would arrive soon. I've attempted to call the store after this conversation to which nobody ever answers the phone. I've tracked my own package via FedEx which states only a shipping label has been created. The item has not been picked up nor dropped off at a FedEx location. I verified this information through customer service and a FedEx rep has confirmed that the package is not with the carrier service at all. So, a few things are not adding up here. At this point I might as well drive back down to VG and pick up my item myself but who is to say that they will insist it was delivered? Again, this much trouble for a $35 item is very petty. This place is amazing!!! As soon as you walk in you feel calm and relaxed. I have naturally very curly frizzy hair and Glenda and her staff recommended the smooth infusion line for me.
