Located in Marlboro, NJ I had family come along for moral support since I was entering unknown territory. As we parked and made our way up the stairs, I felt the anxiety slowing rising as I pulled open the door, and what I found inside is nothing like I had imagined. The center is clean and bright and not in an antiseptic way but a classic, and regal design. Every aspect of this center was orchestrated to reflect beauty, inside and out. The main room, with its floor-to-ceiling glass walls, has at its center a white leather reclining chair, bright flickering chandeliers, and gold and crystal accents throughout. The whole Queen of the castle Vibe from your first moment. Dr. Kaga herself looks at you like Michelangelo viewing the clear palette of the Sistine chapel and she captures each angle to ensure that your results not only meet but surpass your goals. Dark spots gifted by the ravages of time, with the steady hand of Dr. Kaga and the Pico Genesis laser start to fade away as a new fresh face emerges, still you but brighter, lighter, and clearer. The entire team of Doctors, PA's, and medical personnel especially Dr. Kaga and Sonya made this an hour to uncover a brighter face, hiding below the sun-damaged one. On top of that, cotton swab I used kept leaving fibers behind on my face, in my mouth; it's just all so gross! The salon was not transparent about their pricing. I got a gift card for Mother's Day, and instead of regular facial, I wanted to go with Hydrafacial instead. The website quoted $175 online, but when I was done, I was told that the prices have increased, and they charged me $200 instead of honoring the price they had online. Mind you not, I still tipped 20% on the service. Finally, they did not have a relaxing experience. The room is right behind their store (Shiseido). The tech kept the figure white light on the entire team, used her iPad to play calming music, and I felt like I was in a football stadium the whole time. She didn't even cover my eyes, and had the light beaming on my face the entire time. The treatment was painful, and that's something that wasn't conveyed before either. Overall I loved Olivia because of the massage she gave me in the end. But overall; the salon did not follow through with what they promised on their website. The treatments and services advertised were vastly different in quality from what was delivered. I would not recommend this salon to anyone looking for a reliable and hygienic facial experience. She also had someone helping her out who I don't think had any experience with waxing given the way she needed constant guidance on what to do. Nothing is reminiscent of a spa. It did not smell like a spa. The guest who was just finishing settling up with the technician who was selling/pushing membership was so loud and when I was in the treatment room I could hear the business going on in the entry way (not relaxing). I used a Groupon so I was excited to try a new place hoping to find a diamond in the rough. There was nothing sparkly, unique, or spectacular about this place- it was just rough. When I entered the room I inspected the products and looked at the UV sanitizing machine to see if there were any tools in there. Nothing. All I saw were tools sitting in little tiny bit of alcohol. I brought this to the woman's attention and asked for new tools. Nothing is explained. Thank God I'm a spa enthusiast. I changed into the water bath wrap and slid myself under a blanket. No bolster was placed under my knees. There was spa music playing that dampened the sound of the ongoings outside but not loud enough to drown out the noises as stated above. The steam for my facial was on for about 5-10 minutes, the cleansing felt rushed, the "deep cleaning" extraction was like maybe 5 minutes. When I do my own extractions I'm covering every square inch on my face in like 10-15 minutes. The microdermabrasion was meh and the photo rejuvenation was just that. The technician was friendly and engaged in conversation but I just wanted to enjoy my facial which was difficult. I did ask for more extractions on the sides of my face because I knew it was overlooked. No serum was used with the high frequency zapper so that was a 1st for me. The one cool thing was that the cooling mask had a layer under that made the removal so easy. One swoop! She patted some products on and done... Didn't tell me one products that was used or ask about my comfort. Save your money and go to Hand and Stone.

I brought my current face regimen with me, and I'm glad I did because Jenny told me I was using the wrong products on my face. I have a problem with white heads and black head and when I remove them I often leave a mark that takes months to go away. After my facial a week ago, my face has not filled up with a white head or blackhead. Jenny recommended a new regimen and I can see the difference already. I'm looking forward for my next facial and to see the improvement after a month or so.
