I went in for a simple gel polish removal - I was horrified when I left and ended up rushing out. I had thick gel polish on my nails and knew the removal may take some time, but I was burned with the Dremel and now have a small hole in one nail where it burned. I continued on with the service as the tech was very nice and accidents happen, I asked her if she could cut the length off of my nails, since they were weak after having polish on, and I have never had such an awkward nail trim with no regard to shape. She then cut me with the nail clippers on my thumb, leaving a small open sore, and tiny bit of blood. There was some polish still on the nail, and she tried to pry and push it off with a metal straight edge tool, which immediately started peeling off a thin layer of the nail with it, I asked her to stop and left. I paid over $30 for the service, and feel completely ripped off. I spent another 30 minutes in my car trying to gently file off the remaining polish and shape my nail into something that looked remotely ok. I will still have to apply my own nail hardener when I get home, which in most places I have been to is included with the service. I am certain the other staff member present heard me call out twice in pain when the Dremel burned and when she took skin with the clippers - I most definitely will not return, how could I trust them, when a basic service felt traumatic.

The ladies at Lush are fantastic. I've been to three or more nail salons throughout Kingston in the…read morepast year, and this one is my go-to going forward. The lounge is small and intimate, so there aren't going to be a lot of customers crowding your space. Appointments should be booked in advance - they will happily take walk-in's, but it's more likely you'll need to book and come back a little later on, anyway. Besides pedicures, which is what lured me in after a friend recommended them, they offer mani's, waxing, blow-outs, facials and a few other services (all well-detailed on their website). The staff are very friendly and helpful and I really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of the place. I'd absolutely recommend Lush to anyone looking for good nail service in kingston. Prices are reasonable, but do note - Students and Military get awesome discounts, so that should make it even more enticing!

This is my first experience of getting waxed outside of Toronto in Canada, and I was really happy to find such good service in Kingston! The salon was clean, albeit a little bit small. In particular, Maria was really good! She was thorough, clean, kept me distracted (i informed her how sensitive i am in that area), and she accommodated my pain threshold somehow! The price is $50 for a brazilian wax, but students get 15% off so I ended up with a $48 bill, before tip. This is a little bit more expensive than what I'm used to in Toronto, but after the discount it's affordable, and for the quality and time spent I think it's worth it! Will be back here again, and highly recommend it!
