The property is supposed to be "controlled access" but there are holes cut in the fence by the homeless occupants of a nearby encampment which abuts next to the railroad tracks. The trains are a HUGE nuisance with the noise, fumes and constant idling airbrake releases. Management is told about the holes and they just look away and say "we are getting bids", weeks turn into months and nothing is done. Man gates can be pulled open from the outside, talking about loss of control access. This is supposed to be a non smoking property but the smell of people smoking weed and tobacco hangs in the air like a noxious cloud. Some residents don't even try to hide their smoking. Dogs are allowed to run around off leash and crap without being picked up., even though there are dog parks located on property. I enjoy the activities and some great neighbors.

The issue I have with them is the move out experience. I deep cleaned the whole place and was still charged a fee of $140 for regular cleaning. Plus $75 to get the carpets cleaned (which I expected after 4 years in the same unit). I took the time to fill in all of the nail holes, but was charged $50 because I did not paint over the nail holes on the accent wall (maintenance never provided me accent wall paint, just the regular). Now I've left a place that I loved for 4 years with a bitter taste in my mouth. I wish them well, but I'd really have to think twice before living here again.

The good: -Great management. Very kind people that work in…read morethe office who seem to really want to get to know you. They always put me in a good mood when I went in to pay my bills. -Fast maintenance. Literally would put in a request and it would be fulfilled within the next two days. I've never had such fast maintenance in a complex. -Very safe. I have never felt unsafe coming home late at night, or have had any strange encounters with other residents. My car has had no damage done to it, I always felt okay leaving it parked. -No surprises. There were no hidden fees or anything of that sort. Neighbors were respectful. -Overall a great experience! The bad: -Parking can be challenging. We ended up having to pay $25 more for another spot a month because the visitor parking is not always guaranteed. -Small Apartments. Pretty cozy in these apartments! But you get what you pay for. -Meh appliances. Kind of cheap W/D, shelf in kitchen broke, handle on bathroom mirror fell off. Maintenance was always very responsive in these situations though, so I can't really say it was too bad. And again... you get what you pay for, and we had a cheaper unit. -Children can be loud. Yes it is required in most apartments that you apply for. What they do not tell you is that they expect you to pay that on a debit/credit card, but they will not be providing a refund back to your debit/credit card. Instead, they will be mailing a check out to you. It has now been 3 weeks since I was not approved and I have been getting the run around about my deposit being returned to me. I have called everyday starting last Thursday. Still no refund. How many other people have you done this to? I mean, if no one says anything do they just pocket the $300 deposit?!? Not, a place I want to rent from. At this point I will be filing with the BBB.
