Got so bad that numbers were exchanged and AJ took 2 days to respond and initiate the project. He responded due to my interior designer having to reach out to him. The communication was abysmal. That should have been my warning. The entertainment was done nicely but I was told they don't do wall paper finishes. The vendor (Ramico construction) at site asked where was my wallpaper or paint and I told him that AJ told me that you do not provide those services but the vendor told me that they do and that's the normal process when setting up the entertainment centers. So now I was lied to by AJ (Amar Construction). Now the bathroom, yes unfortunately I did two projects with this company. They placed the sink and did the plumbing. But when it came to the mirror they stated there wasn't an agreement on electrical wiring, but I know I stated I wanted an LED mirror so I bought one. Thinking it will be done properly, it was hung on 2 small screws in the wall and when I touched the light thinking it would turn on it didn't and started to sway. This can not only break one day by falling as well as my sink but also harm anyone in that bathroom when it does due to poor judgment calls and a lack of attention and awareness. A major safety issue. I asked Ramico to stop hanging the mirror since I wasn't happy with the upcharge price. AJ (Amar construction) took it upon himself and told them to proceed and that he was going to charge me anyways. Excuse me? This displays horrible communication and customer skills. I'm sorry but AJ didn't display any type of professionalism. I could go on and on about this experience. Even the mediation with him, my interior designer and I was unprofessional. I allowed him to speak and didn't interrupt him not once but as soon as it was my turn to speak I was constantly interrupted by AJ (Amar Construction) But I will end off with PASS HIM UP!!! You're better off looking elsewhere or looking into Ramico Construction instead but if they work together, conjointly as a company THEN DONT!!!

We paid Steven Hann 290,000 to bring the house back to original condition plus a few upgrades. Steven promised he would have the house completed by January latest February of 2019.  Delays Steven delayed the projected 6 months he was still working on the house in August of 2019. Steven blamed everyone but himself, he blamed his manager Logan Lippoldt who he said was incompetent, he then blamed the mortgage company because he said they delayed the payments from the flood insurance check. He then blamed us for taking too long to come up with decisions such as paint. I originally told Steven my business partners and I were looking for a contractor to help us build out 5-10 retail stores. After the house was delayed multiple months and I asked Steven how can I trust you to build the stores in a timely manner his response was it's no skin off my nose if I don't get the job. I have more work then I can handle. Arrogant and Rude Steven would constantly have massive blowouts with everyone on the project. Logan Lippoldt his site manager left Hann Builders in the middle of the project. Stevens other trades people would complain to me that Steven would not pay them which demotivated them from working diligently on the project. Steven would have massive blowouts with both my mother and father who are both senior citizens.  Dishonest and Crooked Steven would constantly cut corners to save himself money on the project. Our window trims were originally an expensive stained wood trim but Steven replaced it with a cheap regular white trim. Then He painted the rest of the frames to make it match. Our crown molding was a high grade stained would as well. Steven used a faux paint for the crown molding he applied which is noticeably different from the stained wood. Please review the pic below of the stained wood meeting faux paint. Steven would also always mention that his people had to do additional work and he applied for credit from another portion of the job. On a few occasions he asked me to pay his trades people. I had a contract with Steven Hann the contractor and not his tradesmen. I have no idea why he requested for me to pay his tradesmen when I had already negotiated a price with him. Steven also incorrectly installed our kitchen island and then when we told him he made a mistake he told us he would redo it if we paid half for the the material he destroyed.  Did not Pull Permits Steven did not pull a single permit for the job. In our contract it clearly states Steven would pull the permits and he allotted over 1000.00 of the budget for permits but he did not pull a single permit. When it came for me to have my gas meter installed the city informed me Steven had not pulled a single permit and we would have to apply for a building permit, plumbing permit and electrical permit. When I informed Steven of this he quit picking up my calls leaving the house incomplete. We paid him everything except $5000.00 so my assumption is he decided it was more headache then it was worth. It cost us an additional $7000 to pull the permits and Steven left the house incomplete with no railings for the staircase. He also promised a 1 year warranty which he obviously is not planning on honoring. The city permitting officials took exceptional offense to Stevens' actions since I was a Harvey victim. The are strongly encouraging me to report Steven to State Attorney General's Office for not pulling permits and walking out on the job and breaching the contract

While Lincoln and his team were removing both old iron tubs from my client's house, there were a few dents left on the wall. 2. The bathroom floors were pretty dirty and there were debris in one of the sinks.

We have also had several furniture unaccounted for without a proper response from them. Long Post I want to share my personal experience with Home…read moreMasters. I hired them to remove carpet and stain my concrete floors. Their presentation was impressive, and Saad, in particular, was professional and won my confidence. From the start, I believed they would deliver a fantastic job. I already own another home with stained concrete floors, and those are absolutely stunning -- so my expectations were high. Unfortunately, over the next week and a half, Home Masters destroyed my dream of having beautiful stained concrete floors. What should have been an exciting transformation turned into one of the most stressful experiences I've had as a homeowner. Instead of joy, I was left agonizing over what to do next. Could I live with the floors as they were? My heart cried inside every time I looked at them. I was unable to sleep and anxiety and depression pressed in. I had just paid over $7,000, and the results were nowhere near what I had envisioned. Major issues with the project 1) The finish of the floors was not smooth. The floors felt like sandpaper. 2) The color was inconsistent throughout the house. Each room was entirely different. There were large areas in which it looked like someone accidentally "poured out" too much paint and just left it there. As a result, there were random isolated patches of dark brown/black. 3) Home Masters did not have adequate resources (human capital) to get the job done. They made a commitment that they could not fulfill. Home Masters was not able to identify subcontractors who were experts in the field to stain concrete floors. For example, one contractor showed up and started painting the floor with a paint brush. 3) The project was poorly managed and there was little to no communication with me or with the subcontractors. Crews were sometimes late, left early, and left without letting me know they were gone or what time they would return. They just walked off! 4) The project manager, George, frequently said that he was coming to look at the work but did not show up until the end of the project. However, I found the greatest offense was how the project manager talked very negatively about other employees and subcontractors. And, the crew reciprocated with their frustration with George's lack of communication with them. George spoke negatively about Saad and his lack of knowledge regarding how to sale. That was one of the first statements that came out of his mouth-I was shocked! George stated that Saad's father, the owner, was rarely pleased with Saad and considered him a common "problem."George inferred that he and Saad's father did not trust Saad's ability to properly create a quote. He was not shy about expressing how he felt about Saad's proposal (bid) for the job. However from my viewpoint, Saad was committed, authentic, and the only positive exchange I experienced. So, to me George came in as the "handler." George's intent to get more money was obvious as he tried to up-sale the contract with unrealistic costs. All of this was unsettling and totally unprofessional. Now with more context, it is no surprise that Home Masters failed to deliver a high quality product. Unfortunately, I had trusted their polished presentation and believed their promises. The lack of communication from the project manager and the lack of skill and knowledge of the subcontractors left me with high levels of stress and anxiety. I lost sleep and anguished over what to do. The work was so bad. How could I live with this? Crying, praying, and looking for a course to take. I had to hire another contractor to redo the job! I called George after sending him multiple photos of the finished product. I expressed how deeply I felt about the quality of the work. I asked for a refund. His response was, "That is not something I can offer you." I asked for a partial refund. His response was, "That is not something he could offer." George did offer to come to my home and "assess the work" and talk with me about solutions. However, at this point, I no longer had confidence in the company and its ability to properly stain concrete floors. Consequently, it would be impossible to trust another crew from Home Masters to do any more damage. Bottom Line: If you are considering stained concrete floors, please do your research carefully. I can never recommend Home Masters! Don't let a smooth presentation blind you to the importance of proven results, accountability, and transparency. My experience with Home Masters was a costly lesson, and I hope others can avoid the same disappointment.

As the house is 50+ years old and has not had any major work in the past, something as simple as window replacements causes issues with how new windows and frames fit. There are tacky areas where frames were removed and not completely covered with new ones. Also, I was told 3 coats of paint would be used, but painters only went once around house. (I was constantly taking pictures!) The workers were great! At the end of each day they completely cleaned up and left the yard very neat. They were always courteous and respectful. The project manager was easy to contact and work with. I would use this company again.

I chose this company years ago for the remodeling on my condo. They did a splendid job basically…read moregutting the downstairs. I got an all new kitchen and cabinets and floors. This year I was a victim of the Braes Bayou flood. So I called Legal Eagle again. Turns out they are experts at flood restoration too. It took a couple of months between drying, ordering, construction, etc. to get it all done. And at the same time I decided to take advantage of their expertise. In addition to the restoration, I had them put in both a built-in entertainment center in the living room and a built-in desk in the living room. (I will try and post a picture or 2) Their workers are terrific. Very skilled and never leave a mess. These people are highly recommended. Dan Bawden and Enrique Sifuentes are both great. They spent a great amount of time helping plan everything and they made sure I understood what was happening along the way.

Their work was top notch and they treated us like we were top priority always. I know they had many other jobs going on at the same time as ours, but we never felt like they weren't there for us. Fast responses and they always returned our calls. We are already looking to do some other home improvements and will absolutely contract Big Iron Construction for those jobs as well! Then we get a call from the owner with a sob story and that he will refund all our money with interest. He began with $300 a week for 3 wks then stopped. Now he doesn't answer any text or phone calls. This has been a frustrating and costly experience-I would not recommend this company to anyone!
