I have been a customer of Avalanche for last five years. I have found the technicians to be very knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. Brennon has turned and my cooler on and off for last three years. He is exceptional and goes the extra mile. The office staff returns calls and is very customer friendly. I highly recommend Avalanche heating and cooling. read more

Good honest people. I called in the morning thinking my plumbing was leaking and they said they could come out that afternoon. I got a call about 15 minutes later that they were in my neighborhood and could stop by. The tech was very nice and considerate, looked at the plumbing in the basement & crawlspace. It ended up not being my plumbing. He was out here for 10-15 minutes and did not charge me because of this. I really appreciate them coming out so quick and not charging me for wasting their time. I'm definitely going to be giving them a call when I redo the whole house plumbing. read more

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU, Brennan! Spring has sprung, and it's that time of year for evaporative cooler start-up. Brennan was pleasant, knowledgeable and thorough. He didn't try to upsell and gave a recommendation as to when parts might need to be replaced. He was kind enough to provide input on another issue we had regarding another plumbing company's installation of an expansion tank. Showed me, so I can show them, a verified way to properly install it. read more

Used to be great, now complete garbage. We have had them work on our commercial location for the last 10 years. They have installed a new heat and air unit and have come out for routine service. It's the coldest day of the year and the unit stops producing heat. Called them for service. Guess what, they can't come out for weeks and weeks. (Actual quote by the phone answering person) You spend 6,000.00 with a company plus service calls and you expect to be taken care of. Here is the other kicker, they are less then 1/4 mile from our location. The day we called, I counted three of there trucks that drove past my business. Don't waste your time with these guys. read more

I really appreciate my entire experience with Avalanche. From the initial quote, to the new swamp cooler, installment, payment, rebate assistance and follow ups, I am very pleased. Thank you so much! I will call this company in the future. read more

After my initial responses, I focused on this provider and one other...when I asked Avalanche if they would be responsible for damages to my system and house--they responded that they had suddenly filled up their schedule and couldn't accommodate me....... read more

I was in a bind and needed a cooling repair pretty quick. When I called they explained that a regular appointment was 3-4 weeks out but had a URGENT service that could be accomplished the same day. Ya I paid a little more for that expedited service but I called 10 other companies and not one if them offered that kind of service and they had the 3-4 week back log. read more

The tech that worked on my AC unit was great but it broke down again in less than a month. Not his fault. It was another problem. The lady in the office that I communicated with the second time around was less than helpful. Her communication skills were horrible and because of that, she lost a $4500.00 job for the company. I would have a hard time recommending this company to anyone. I found one much better. read more

Heater quit working last night while it was really cold! Called first thing in the morning and they set an appointment for 10am. The tech, Eric showed up early and got right to work. He had the problem trouble shot and fixed in less than 30 min. Very professional and honest pricing for the job they did. Eric even gave me some preventative maintenance tips before leaving. Would recommend and would use again for my future needs. Thank you! read more

Back in July 2022, our air conditioning unit stopped working and pipes were freezing. We called Avalanche and they came out and did their $89.00 assessment to tell us what's going on. They said we needed to change our filter. They also suggested to have our unit filter be redirected to the hallway as well as doing an overall maintenance clean up. $462.00 later and few weeks after the service, the pipes froze up again. We had to shut our unit off. Hours after, our son's bedroom started to leak in three different places. See pictures below. Avalanche came out again and fixed it but sent us a $192.00 and took zero responsibility for the leaking wall damage. When I talk to Mr. Jim at Avalanche he said they don't cover that because we "didn't maintain the unit and they didn't install it. " After two lengthy conversations with Mr. Jim, he hung up on us stating, "Ma'am, since you're going to take zero responsibility for your part in this, I can't help you. read more

Recently had a furnace problem (no heat) and contacted Avalanche Plumbing and Heating. Service technician Jessie came out after hours and corrected our problem. I did have a billing question and contacted Matt, the owner. After reviewing our bill it became apparent that there was a misunderstanding on my part about the service charges. For my satisfaction Matt readily made adjustments. I feel Matt was more than fair with me. Based on my recent experience I would use and recommend Avalanche Plumbing and Heating. PJ T read more

Avalanche has been doing work for my rentals, business, and home for 10 or so years. I feel like they're more business partners than just my service company. They are always suggesting different ways to do things that can save me money, or finding creative solutions to the interesting plumbing, heating, and cooling problems that seem to always find me. Here are some examples of work they've done for me: Put a Breezeair on my roof Put a new furnace in my house (it was so old - everything had to come out and be re-done from basically scratch) Installed a neutralization kit so that the water would not erode my pipes Put in a water filtration system Replaced the A/C Unit Put in a solar hot water system Installed vapor barrier Ran gas lines to a new range so we could get rid of the electric stove Ran new roof venting for the gas stove Put new swamp coolers on our business that went from us dealing with 80-88 degrees to now maxing out around 74-75 on really hot days Installed hose bibs on the outside of the business for vehicle washing Installed special whole house air filters for my tenants with breathing issues And I'm sure there's more I haven't thought of. Their service is just impeccable; every single tech I've worked with is polite and professional and when I deal with the office staff, they're always friendly and willing to help. Having been a fairly regular customer, I've also gotten to know the owners Jim & Matt, their office manager Tara - and they are some of the most honest, nicest people I have ever met. I have never once had to raise my eyebrows at an invoice they've given me or argue on a bill. During busy season I have had to wait a while at times to get somebody out here - but having done business elsewhere, I know this is the nature of the beast. You have your busy seasons in Spring and Fall, and you can't staff your whole year for those 2 short busy seasons. All in all - this is one of my favorite companies to deal with. Fair, Honest, Polite, Competent. You just can't go wrong calling Avalanche. If you are the kind of person that demands a formal quote & proposal for a $99 cooler startup, or think it's unreasonable to charge an after hours or rush fee to help pay for overtime & on call techs, then you might want to try calling around : ) : ) read more

Fantastic group of people. Courteous, knowledgeable, prompt, conscientious, and professional. We are extremely satisfied with their work. We recently moved here from Boise, ID, and bought a "fixer-upper" that we are remodeling for our long-term home. Our first actions were to hire Avalanche to overhaul our HVAC and Plumbing systems. They are not the cheapest folks but I firmly believe you get what you pay for. We could not be happier with our high-efficiency HVAC system as well as our re-worked Plumbing infrastructure. Job well done! As we proceed with our home remodel I am certain that we will require further mechanical restructuring and we will not hesitate to give Avalanche a call. read more

Avalanche just installed a new high efficiency swamp cooler on our house. We are very pleased with their work and the service we received. They were prompt, polite and professional. They did excellent work and it was done for the estimated quote without any add on surprises. We recommend them highly. read more

If the job is small they will not respond with a legitimate estimate. Communication is poor and I would definitely choose a different plumber. Plumbers are everywhere and so go to one that wants your business, Not Avalanche. read more

Honest, Reliable, and top quality work. I had a different company come and give me a quote on my necessary furnace repair but I found their pricing to be suspicious so I called Avalanche for a second opinion. They came in at less than half what the other plumbing and heating company wanted to charge. Matt, who came for the initial dispatch call was very patient and thorough and walked me through all the options for the repair. The crew that came to do the work ended up staying until 6;30 on the day before Thanksgiving just to be sure the everything was functioning correctly and I wouldn't have any problems over the holidays. You might have to wait a bit for Avalanche to schedule you in but it's worth the wait - and of course the reason they're so busy is because they do good work! read more

Techs are great but owners seem to be all about the $. As a long time customer who needed a quick service, am disappointed p. They would not accommodate and wanted to charge $50 more than the competitor who was more than happy to help me out! My entire family will be changing over to Haining! Made the call requesting service and technician appointment was made for that same day. Matt, the technician arrived earlier than appointment time. Very knowledgable about the boiler design and function. Made a point to make sure we understood what needed to be done to correct the problem with our equipment. Had the parts on his truck to repair the boiler. Very considerate to take time to answer any questions that we had. Very professional appearance and attitude. We will call them again next time something needs to be repaired. read more
