Was in and out in 10 minutes! Easiest and fastest smog check I've ever had, and I saved $10 with their coupon. Definitely recommend. read more

AV Smog - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Lancaster, California

I've been using this place for several years. Very professional, hardworking, conscientious, honest gentlemen. My car is due again soon so I will use them again. read more

Quick and easy. Just what you want in a smog check. Staff was friendly. Comparable pricing to all in the AV.

Horrible customer service. Called got a price out the door for 39.99. Sent husband and he charged him 69.99! I called to ask why. He blamed my husband for not asking and saying there is different smogs. He was super rude. I do not recommend. Yea there is different smogs but only 10 dollar difference not 30!! read more

I forgot about my car registration with so much going on that when I went to pay I realized I need to get a smog check first. I called this place and they were so friendly. He gave me a great price and said he could get me in same day. I was in and out within minutes. Super friendly and polite. I would come back here again for sure. read more

Fast and easy. Took the tech 20 minutes from start to finish and I was on my way. Check out their website for coupons in the smog check. Excellent service read more

This was such an amazing experience. Impeccable service hands down! Customer service like I've never experienced and it's truly a one stop shop... I love it read more

I had to get my car smog checked for my registration and after looking at a couple places I'm glad I choose this one! As soon as I pulled up, AJ greeted me and said they could help me as soon as they were done with the car in front of me. I was in and out within 10 minutes. Anytime I need my car smog checked I'll definitely come here! read more

Worst customer service EVER! My husband went there yesterday morning to get a smog cert. apparently their systems were down, so he said come back tomorrow and I'll give you a discount. Which really isn't a discount when they offer a coupon on the website. That's besides the point. Husband goes back this morning, is checking out and the guy goes $80. No, I was here yesterday, and you said you would give me a "discount" for $40. Response "you have to tell me before it's in the system." Excuse me? Do what you need to do, and change the price. He would not. Ok, we'll I have a coupon then. It's already in the computer, I can't change it. That is the biggest line of crap I've ever heard. Don't go here, it's a rip off, and apparently they lie too. read more

This is the most dishonest smog check station in town they promised a free recheck when my car failed the smog test. when I returned they insisted on charging full price! They flat-out lied to me. not recommended! read more

AV Smog Station is fantastic!! We called ahead to see how long the wait was and the guy said to bring it in, there was no wait and he could do it for us in 15 mins. We got there and A.J. was amazing! He did it in less than 10!!! And he recommended the coupon that they were offering online, and saved us money! I definitely recommend this place if you need a smog. read more

I visit them on the 2/28/19. AJ was tech that attend me he was great and professional. Great customer service even tho I gave my coupon late he still took care me. They were awesome I recommend them to everybody. Great Smog Shop. read more

This is the best place for a smog the man at the counter was very knowledgeable and honored the discount from the website it said 29.95 for smog but for SUV or truck 10$ more (I have a truck) so it came to 39.95$ plus the 8$ charge for the certification to show the DMV so it came out to be less then 50$ for my smog and certification the is pretty darn good deal and was in and out in 20 minutes! Make sure you bring registration with you as well read more

Great! The guys gave me a great deal and had me in and out of there within 45 minutes. The waiting area was clean and had A/C so I wasn't waiting in the heat. They do take card but I think it's an older system (it took a minute to process)so I would recommend bringing cash! Overall I think this place is fantastic, will be returning! read more

Nicest guy doing the smog on my husband's truck. We'll come here every time we need one. Great service!

Fast & Friendly Service. Highly recommend this place to all my friends and family. Jordan and Jesse value your time and make you feel comfortable while you wait. read more

Love these gentlemen and their service - got a great service for a great price - I was in and out in less than 10 minutes and it's super conveniently located. They answered all my questions and sent me on my way. Easy peasy - I will return! read more

This place is the worst, unless you like to be robbed. Had a coupon for a smog for 29.99 and they would not honor it! This is AFTER it was already done they told him this so they threatened to call the sheriff if we decided to go somewhere else because they now charged us $80!!! Everywhere else in the actual it's only $35!! I will NEVER bring business back to this establishment and I will let everyone know just how awful they are. read more

You took my review down. You committed fraud by charging my card three times a very high amount when the service was only $35.00. This left my bank account negative and bounced checks for 3 weeks. You harassed me trying to say I lied and now my review is gone and you have no reviews. Buyer beware! read more

Great Professional Service. Fast and courteous. Will definitely be back and will recommend.

These guys are as crooked as it comes beware and save yourself alot of heartache they will fail your car and then offer an illegal pass ....I took my car there they failed it then I took it to another smog shop and it passed right away read more

Best in the antelope valley in and out service 35 minutes done. Honest friendly clean shop.

These people do not tell the truth, they lied to me. On 8/8/2020, I went in for a smog check to renew car's registration. Unknown, at the time to me, the computer in my car had been reset (the car's battery was replaced just prior to the smog check and that cleared out the computer) and would not pass a smog check until it was driven for a period of time, which turned out to be about 800 miles. When the mechanic did my smog check, he told me of the problem and said, "Drive a few miles and come back tomorrow and we will retest your car for free." As it turned out, I when I checked the car the next day, with a scan tool, the computer had not yet gone through its drive cycle (something I only found out about by doing research). Finally, after about 800 miles of driving, the car's computer had enough driving on it to pass smog. When I went back to AV Smog II I told them that the car had finished its drive cycle and was ready for the retest. The mechanic insisted that he had to use his scan tool to check the computer which he did. Then, he proceeded to tell me that "Connecting and verifying the car could pass smog was the 'free retest," and that I would have to pay a second time for the smog test which totally surprised me. When I told him that he said their would be no charge for the retest, he said that that only meant using the scan tool (which I think is a total lie, a "free retest," is just that, a retest of the smog check, however, since I didn't want to waste any more time arguing with him, or looking for another more honest smog test location, I had him "retest my car," and paid him. The bottom line is that I will never go back to this man or his company and recommend that others find another place to go for smog checks. read more

Great quality service for a great price! Recommending this place to all my friends, completed in a timely manner as well

Had procrastinated past my time limit and was trying to find a reasonably priced qualified station. Jordan worked with me and I received my smog certificate in record time for a decent price. Fast, efficient and professional. Plus interesting conversation with Jordan that was a pleasant bonus. Highly recommend. read more

The smog shop I usually go to was closed... Thankfully Mel and AV Smog was open and ready to serve... He honored the other shops coupon and was quick about getting the inspection done.... I really appreciate helping me get this done and off my plate... Moms car is good for another 2 years... read more

Abe and his crew is great. The station itself is very clean and neat. I love this station. Thank you abe

RUDE!!!! Bald guy with beard will rush your check-in, have you fill out paperwork without reviewing price but will YELL at you when you want to use a coupon. Have 4 cars but will NOT return here! Older man honored coupon but all while the other guy continued to yell about it. Not sure how they we voted best in AV! read more

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. This center is full of nothing but con men! I usually get my smogs done in Palmdale, but I recently moved to Lancaster and I THOUGHT this place was going to be cool cause it was close to my home. Never will I choose convenience over honesty and reliability. For starters, I noticed that I was charged more than someone else. Next, they told me my car failed the smog due to a gas leak in the fuel tank and that the cat converter was on backwards as well. Then they said to fix those issues and bring the car back and they would re-smog for half off. Then they gave me a number to someone who could fix the "gas leak." Yeah like I'm going to trust anyone you recommend. So I take the car to my mechanic and guess what, there is no leak and the cat converter is not on backwards. My car sat at my mechanics shop, was not serviced, and passed the smog with no issues. My mechanic also told me that when a car fails a smog, you are not supposed to be charged anything when you take it back after the repairs are made. So eff this place, they are fraudulent. I don't know if they were trying to take advantage because I am a female, whatever the reason, I can guarantee I will NEVER go back. Be aware! read more

We received a quote over the phone from AV Smog Station on 20th. Unfortunately we could not make it there before they closed. So they directed us to their other shop on Sierra Hwy. AJ and Mario helped us out quickly and professionally! They honored the price we were quoted from the other shop! AV Smog Station is lucky to have employees like these two gentlemen who take care of their customers needs, even when they show up at the end of their work day! Thanks AJ & Mario! read more

I was tight on cash, I called them and they gave me a radically good price. Ask for Mel, he's helpful.

Very unhappy with my service. Charged full price twice when my car didn't pass smog inspection right away. It passed after an hour but they still charged me full price twice. My car has experienced this twice before in years past and other smog stations never charged me twice. Total rip off. I do not recommend this place. read more

Just finished a smog inspection. I feel that I wasn't informed that I'd automatically fail a smog test if the "check engine light" was still on. Better business would be to inform the customer before they take your money that you'll fail the test automatically. They took the money first and then told me (with the check engine light on the whole time). I was told it's not their business to tell me that it would fail, but I think an honest person would tell you up front. The guy was nice during the smog check, but when I called to complain it was a while different attitude. I would have give four starts even wth him not telling me about the check engine, but he basically gave me a "I don't care about your business" attitude. Better business would have been, "hey, I'm sorry I didn't inform you about the check engine light automatically failing, but if you come back to recertify, I'll waive the second smog check fee. Good luck if you go in here, like I said, I was initially satisfied, but when I called back to ask about why I wasn't informed a check engine would automatically fail, I was given poor service response. read more
