Personally, I cannot afford to get my nails done, but that's my own problem My daughter just turned 14 and as a birthday present, she asked to get her first set of acrylic nails, which we allowed. My mother-in-law was the one to take her in for her first appointment and they were lucky enough to get Tammy. She made her experience wonderful. So much that when we went back to get her fill we requested her again. Very happy with the service and the kindness. I had absolutely the worst experience in my whole life. Firstly, the lady who did my pedicure was very rough with me and kept on rudely brushing away my hands each time I took a look at the job. She actually told me it is enough when I asked her to align the nails with the other toe so it looked straight. As soon as I was insistent that she cut my nails super short without cutting my skin, she began making a parody of me in Vietnamese to her other co-workers and all they did was discuss me right in front of me the whole time. The worst part were my lashes which were done by an older woman, the owner/manager who was very rude and disrespectful. She told me it was okay and she was finished. She did not even have a hand held mirror with which I could look at the job that I was paying for. When I complained that the lashes were getting into my left eye which had not been filled all the way to the inner corner of my eye (I made a complaint about her attitude to the manager) She started raising her voice at me and it took everything out of me to try to remain civil particularly knowing that i needed to walk out knowing fully well that I was getting the best bang for my buck. The next day was agonizing for me, such that I raced over there after work. She attempted (using nothing other than a pair of tweezers to adjust the lashes which did not do any good) . I had to come back the next day and was told to return the next day due to the lady having a really full schedule. I had to call in the next day because my left eye hurt and I was not feeling like going in. I was transferred lover to the same lady who did my lashes. Still raising her voice, she said that I complain too much and she was not going to redo my lashes. This is the worst place ever to go to. read more

I never get manicures but went with my best friend to get one before her baby shower as I just wanted a basic clean up with a sticker on one nail and a clear coat. I truly thought it was normal and part of the process for my fingers to bleed and for it to hurt when taking the dead skin off but I learned afterward that it's not normal at all once we left and I showed my bestie and told her how it went. She was rough and rushed the whole time leaving my fingers bleeding from digging into my skin over and over with the tool to get the dead skin off. They were bumpy and I asked for French polish which came out terrible. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and it was still off. Went in today with a walk in for 3 people , they were all very nice. Very big spacious area for them to work in, clean and tidy. I git the regular pedi ,the gel which is 15 and the french tip. I was going to get the callus remover pedi but the girl Tao told me i have no calluses and a scrub will do the trick for my feet. I love that she didnt push me to get the most expensive one just so that she can get more money out of me. She was honest. She sold me a pumis stone fir 8$ instead of her charging me 8$ fir her to do the hot stones and callus remover for me. She won me over right then and now i wont go anywhere else ! If it were possible to give this place negative stars, I would do so. I came here for the first time several weeks ago to get a fill. I had a pink/orange gel polish on. The woman who had done my fill did not fully remove the pink/orange gel polish and because she was an older woman with glasses and attempted to make polite conversation despite the language barrier, I just accepted that I would have to look past the numerous pink orange dots floating in my new gold tipped French manicure. My best guess was that she could not see and had done her best and I didn't want to penalize her for trying so I tipped 25% and decided to try again. Additionally in my first visit a pretty, young African American woman came in and addressed one of the technicians as her friend and asked if she had time for her and the technician told her to go away and not come back. When I asked why she was sent away, the technician said "too difficult," though she didn't seem as such when I came in. My nails began to lift sooner than normal and one of my nails cracked and broke off several days later. I came in an hour before close and the nail technician, Tao, told me she could not see me because they were closing. Not knowing what to do, I just stood there. She finally consented to taking me and as she repaired the nail, she noticed the pink/orange dots punctuating my nails. She spoke to a woman next to her who inspected my nails and then she offered to do them over for me. Because she had said she was closing and because she had made it clear she was frustrated, I told her I could not ask her to do over someone else's work and that I would just live with the nails as they were and make a proper appointment with her for my next fill. I tipped her $5 for the nail repair and thanked her for her time. I presumed any unpleasantness was just a natural response to wanting to be done for the day and being stuck with one more person. It came time for my fill and so I made an appointment with Tao same day. When I sat down I mentioned that I was glad to finally get rid of the little pink/orange dots and as she was removing the gel, she said she couldn't get them out with just a fill and that I would have to pay for a whole new set. I reminded her that the other technician did an awful job, but I just lived with it because I don't think she could see very well. Because the technician before her used the Dremel to file down my pink/orange gel polish and did not fully remove it before filling the nail, it would make sense to me that she would only need to use the Dremel to get the pink orange dots out by grinding it down as part of a fill and then when she filled in the nails again, the problem would be solved. She told me so shortly she could not get the gel polish out stating it was "under the nail" when it was not, but rather ground and refilled in by her coworker and she told me that she didn't know where I went to before (the same nail salon) or what happened, but it wasn't her problem and we could either proceed with me paying for a full set if I wanted the pink/orange dots removed, or that she would just fill in the nail as is for the price of a fill. She had barely taken off the gold gel polish tips before she became super short with me. This is the point where I gave up and asked her what I owe her for beginning the work. She charged me $5 for removing part of the polish and then I left. Working in a customer service position myself as a flight attendant, I go out of my way to be polite, kind, and accommodating and even if service is subpar, I will tip graciously the first time no matter what to prove myself a worthy customer. I can think of no other way than to describe this as a sh*t experience in 3 parts. -The first woman did a terrible job and I am sure she could not see, but she was still nice and tried her best I am sure. -The second woman, Tao, on both occasions was short and impolite. In offering to do a half ass job unless I started over, I felt like I was being deliberately price gauged. I do not recommend this place at all and would strongly suggest you go elsewhere unless you have already established a relationship with this or any other technician and walked away with satisfactory results. Pros: Pretty artwork on the wall, reasonable color selection, massage chairs have a reasonable amount of power compared to most. Cons: Terrible attitude from technician, terrible service, terrible fill if you get a nicer/older woman with glasses, price gauging, no consistency unless it comes to a terrible attitude. Also, it didn't seem right to deny service to the young lady who came in because she didn't seem difficult at all. This was a truly disappointing and awful experience despite my best efforts to give it an objective and fair try. read more

This review is not congruent with the rating I'm giving this place, I still love it here, Cathy is still my go-to person... BUT there is one lady who really disappointed me today. According to the guy who charged me, the lady's name is Jen. She is an older Vietnamese woman, long hair, and a little heavy set. I hate writing bad reviews but this lady really drove me to this. The entire time she did my nails it seemed like she had a stick up her ass. She filed my nails so uneven, I basically paid $30 to come home and re-file them myself. I asked her to file them more even three times and after the third I got tired of repeating myself. I paid for the "deluxe manicure" which included a 15 minute massage. She gave me one of the most pathetic massages I've ever gotten. Just extremely disappointed in her service. I told Tina exactly what I wanted and she was able to accomplish it. I chose a purple glitter powder tip with white glitter on my nail bed. I wanted a deep curve smile line and Tina was able to achieve that. She filed and shaped my nail tips coffin style, since I wanted that slim nail look to elongate my fingers. My experience was very relaxing and comforting. Tina brushed some Gelish oil on my cuticles and massaged some lotion into my hands at the end. Sooo relaxing...=) I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AV FASHION NAILS! I've been going to this place for at least 2 years. I usually go to Holly, but Tina and her daughter have all done my full set and pedicure. They are never friendly, and barely speak when I walk in the door...but they did a good job, and my nails lasted without breaking unless I slammed them on or in something. Usually when I break a nail its in some painfully dramatic fashion that leaves me almost in tears. Well that has changed! Now I get crappy attitude and nails that break from a strong gust of wind! I've been getting my nails done for 20+ years and I've never had this issue! This is just the beginning of my issues with this place. I don't even want to talk about the games they play with their prices! Don't go here! They get you in fast but you'll be back in 2 days getting your nails fixed! And the nail polish they use is cheap cause it don't last either! Holly and Tina run this place like crap and if they were more concentrated on doing work that lasted, and treating their people right they could get more customers and keep the ones who were loyal to their business. Danny did a horrible job and still charged me for $75. I went to get my fills fixed and he took off my nails and cut off mine with out even asking, he stated it was better because they were too long. Than he started cutting sides off my new full set to make them oval square when I specifically told him straight square. He put Gel nail polish saying it was better but after 5 days the nails were coming off and my skin started peeling which makes it even more nasty because that means I caught some kind of bacteria from the salon!
