After passing by Aux Délices and its flashy fluorescent sign numerous times, my partner and I decided to try it out one night for dinner. We ordered the mezze platter for two, to test all sorts of dishes at once.
In addition to the requisite tabbouleh, pitta bread, hummous and baba ghanoush, there was a lemon chicken dish (delicious flavor, but overcooked), lamb meatballs (quite dry), and liver in an oily sauce (and a heck of a lot of liver at that!). The other sides (fried pastries--one vegetarian and one beef) tasted as though they had been frozen and reheated.
The patron was kind, offering us a fresh fruit plate with our tea at the end of the meal. read more
