The best place to see a football game in the state! The most fun and well organized pre-game area of any venue and so much fun with great sight-lines no matter where you sit. The home of the Oregon Ducks football team. It's the place where great teams come to die. Sporting the best home record in college football over the last 5 years, this is a tough place for visitors, and it's due to the greatness of Autzen. While holding only 55,000, the noise level is deafening due to the shape of the stadium, which holds in sound and echoes it off the field. I love many of the traditions that have evolved here over the years, from The Duck riding out on a motorcycle with the team following behind, to the "Go" "Ducks" shouts back and forth across the stadium, to The Duck doing pushups for every point, and my favorite, the singing of Otis Day and The Knights "SHOUT" between the third and fourth quarters. Not the best place for tailgating as the parking lot has given way to other sports facilities over the years, Autzen offers an alternative pre-game experience, by turning the indoor practice facility, the Moshofsky Center, into a giant indoor party. An array of food is available, with live music, tv screens, seating for thousands, cheerleaders, and more. Whether or not you're a Duck fan, be sure to come enjoy a game here, and you won't be disappointed. read more

Autzen Stadium - Tailgate - Stadiums & Arenas Near Me - Eugene, Oregon

Fun place to watch a college football game.. even when the Ducks cream your visiting team by 20 pts. Student section is huge and loud the whole game. Probably not a bad seat in the whole place. Visitors get the section under the big screen. It gets chilly after the sun goes down. SO easy to park at one of their offsite lots (eg, South Eugene High) and shuttle in. Drops you off right in front before the game, and picks you up after just a short walk down the street. read more

I searched Eugene with no title and Autzen was the first thing to pop up. So hey, I'll review it. Quite simply, one of the most electrifying, loudest and intense stadiums you can go to. What makes this? The fans!!!! We love our ducks so much, that when you pack 60,000 crazy duck fans into autzen, your bound for a earth trembling experience. I cant wait for the next football season to start!!! I LOVE MY DUCKS!!!!!!!!!! read more

Autzen Stadium - Stadiums & Arenas Near Me - Eugene, Oregon

The BF and I have a good friend that is a huge (legit HUGE) Ducks fan. So, needless to say, that when he found out we were coming to Eugene he said Autzen Stadium had to be on our must see list. Unfortunately, as we approached the entrance we found out that we weren't able to go see the field, because it was closed for a private event. Bummer! The woman working the gate was kind enough to let us step about ten feet in to snap a couple pictures. That was nice of her, but we were still a bit disappointed. The stadium appears to be very well maintained (at least the outside). Autzen Stadium seems to have very limited parking immediately near the stadium itself. There is a trail that takes you over the Willamette to the Oregon University campus. With my mother being a transplant to Eugene; I'm sure I will have many opportunities to come back to check out the stadium and walk the trail from Oregon University. read more

As a duck, I love Autzen stadium. It's got a great tailgate area that surrounds the whole stadium. The phrase "it never rains at Autzen stadium" is a joke because everyone has a poncho. Food is not that good here but sodas are really cheap. Last time I got deluxe nachos my cheese wasn't even melted. For $11 it should probably be served decently. Love Autzen. GO DUCKS!! read more

Always a great experience at Autzen! Go Ducks! The charter boxes have a complete view of the field and hard liquor can be purchased. Allowing alcohol throughout the entire stadium this season is a huge bonus. read more

Autzen Stadium - Stadiums & Arenas Near Me - Eugene, Oregon

Autzen is seriously one of the best sports stadiums I've ever seen a football game in. It's got a great bowl shape to it, it's LOUD as hell, the indoor Moshofsky center is attached (can you say beer garden with live band at halftime?!) and, well, as they say, it never rains at Autzen. Seriously, Oregon and its sugar daddy Phil Knight (along with all of the other boosters that contributed) has maintained Autzen as one of the classiest smaller football venues on the coast. The new addition that went in a few years ago brought capacity up to around 60K, and games have been all sold out for the last MANY seasons straight through. There are numerous food choices, including the awesome beer garden, and tailgating, while in an annoying gravel lot, is right outside the stadium. The pastoral surroundings make for amazing views if you're up in the nose-bleeds, but even up so high there are not too many bad views. You've never really seen a Pac-10 game until you've seen one at Autzen. :) read more

This stadium seems as if it was a present from god almighty. I wish yelp would make a 6/5 star rating option so u could truly express how stunning Autzen is. When I am at Autzen is when I am truly at peace. Everything in the stadium has been strategically placed and made for perfection. Although there is not a cover on top of the stadium unlike some of the newer NFL and college stadiums it still "NEVER RAINS AT AUTZEN STADIUM!!" read more

Holy hell, you Ducks have lungs on you. Look, I'm spoiled. No one is ever going to beat the Rose Bowl in terms of tailgating, beauty and history. Tailgating on a golf course with 80,000+ other people and views of the San Gabriels in the granddaddy of them all? C'mon, don't even try. That said, I appreciate and partook in friendly smacktalking before the game. Next time I'm bringing duck confit to the picnic though. Muahahahahaha! I must say, you Ducks were very nice to the lone Bruin in your section, except for that old man who turned, glared and said "WHO SAID THAT?" after I yelled "NICE CATCH!" But it was early in the 4th quarter and the Ducks were already shellacking my poor Bruins so how mad could he be? The major issue I had with Autzen: if you've never been there, it's really hard to find your way around due to lack of signage, not to mention the coronary I almost had after we hiked to our seats, especially if you've consumed some champagne. Ok, bottles of champagne. I think I like a little history in my stadiums (Memorial Stadium at Cal comes to mind) rather than flashy ones like Autzen, even if they do come with their own quirks. The mystery to me and the SSBB - he a veteran of snotty East Coast liberal arts college "stadiums" and also UF (SEC, BOOOO!!) - where is the Nike presence, except for your more-outfits-than-a-teenager-from-Beverly-Hills uniform strategy? I expected your Dark Lord Phil to have a blimp in the shape of his profile hovering over the field. read more

I know I'm out of my element as a Longhorns fan, but my buddies and I take a trip every year to a game in a different conference. We visited Autzen Stadium last year when they stomped the bejeesus out of Washington, thanks in no small part I'm sure to the deafening support of the fans in the stadium. The year before we had gone to the Big House, in Ann Arbor, and in a stadium that holds over 100k, we thought for sure it would drown out other venues, even the Swamp down in Gainesville. But no, the Ducks in Eugene take the cake; the decibel level was truly impressive. Impressive speed in snazzy uniforms (but please do something about that highlighter yellow) helmed by Chip Kelly made for a #3 season, and Oregon has launched 2013 at #2. I expect big things from them this year. read more

Very cool stadium to watch a game from. A group of us came heer from AZ to watch the the Ducks play Cal (let me explain). We all live in AZ, there was a couple Cal grads, a Cal dad, and a couple Oregon grads (or are also Eugene natives). Like others have mentioned, what makes this stadium so unique is that is truly does feel (a lot) bigger than it really is, It gets loud, and it seems like one of those stadiums where there really isn't a bad seat. We had bought tickets through Cal (I'm a season ticket holder), and we had really good seats. We had ate (and drank) quite a bit before entering the stadium so other that some kettle corn (which was good) we didn't have any concessions, but I noticed they did have some local places and not just generic stadium food. They also had a Dutch Bros! The stadium workers all seemed friendly. We got there late, but left near the end of the game when most people were leaving and things were orderly leaving the stadium. Also, the home crowd was very respectful to opposing fans. Like I said, we were in the visitors section but right near a lot of Duck fans and there were no issues. Of course, Cal got killed so maybe they were taking pity on us :) read more

Yeah I am somewhat biased since I am an Oregon alumni, but IMO Autzen is the finest college football venue in the West. The crowds at Autzen are ridiculous. I was there for the USC game in 2008, and everyone, I mean everyone, screamed their head off for 3 straight hours. It was the loudest, most amped up atmosphere I've ever seen. Old, young, drunk, sober....everyone supports the Ducks 100%, rain or shine. Do yourself a favor and park somewhere close to campus to beat the crowds, and take the gorgeous 20 minute stroll to the stadium. You'll cross the Willamette river, traverse through Alton Baker park, and soon enough, this beautiful gem of a stadium will be right in front of you. I only wish I could go back for more home games. read more

Try to find a person on the streets on a saturday during the fall, it will be hard since a lot of people are either enjoying a game autzen or at home watching the game. Without a doubt one of the high points of my college career was spending many saturday at autzen. The crowd here is crazy, when you are ranked as one of the loudest stadiums and you only hold around 60k, yea that is something to be proud of. One of the coolest things you will hear here is the roar of the crowd for either a ducks TD, a turnover created by the ducks or pre game when the entire stadium will say in unison "GO DUCKS" To be a Duck is to be at Auzten. read more

I loved this stadium when I lived here! I saw games and track meets here. I lived 6 blocks away so even if I didn't attend a game I certainly heard play by play progress! My coup de gras was getting a job selling cold drinks fo ra concert of The Grateful Dead! I was so sore afterwards from running up and down the staitrs that I could barely get out of bed for 2 days! Drove up for the Cal game and was entertained that Oregon got a warning for piping in music during a play. Silly ducks! I bought a pepperoni pizza for $9 and it was decent, considering stadium pricing. The dough and crust was fluffy and the pepperoni was adequate. I also used the box to keep my legs warm, so that was a little bonus value. Realistically, I should have just bought their little Baggie of nuts for $6 to get more bang for my buck. I was amazed that they charged $4 for nachos with cheese and $7 for nachos with cheese, jalapeños, and salsa. Those must have been jalapeños from the presidential garden! We took the 13 city bus to get to the stadium and purchased round trip tickets only to find that the busses don't run after the game. After hearing about a mystical shuttle, we ended up just walking back. In the freedom cold rain. Boo. They need to make transportation more easily accessible. read more

Truly a one-of-a-kind stadium. As an undergraduate, I think I missed only one or two games at Autzen. The experience is incomparable to other stadiums to which I have been. First off, walking over from the UO campus may seem like quite the trek on any normal day, but when crowds of people are marching over to a football game, green and yellow is everywhere and things don't get much better. There are multiple huge parking lots that run around the stadium where fan tailgate before, during and after the game. The stadium itself is beautiful. The field is immaculate and we have the largest scoreboard in the Pac-10 (maybe in college football?), and the sound just carries - everything is amplified 10 fold. The amount of people who attend the games and the noise they make with the shape of the stadiums definitely creates home field advantage. If you've never gone and you're a duck fan, might I suggest going out and experiencing it for yourself. read more

It never rains at Autzen Stadium! Except for that one one time when I didn't wear a coat. Good times. Autzen is a wonderful stadium. Memories of the raucous sounds, jeers, and spilled illicit substances in the student section haunt me to this day. Hey, go Ducks! read more

My wife is a Duck alum and my son attends U of O. Been to several games at Autzen and I'll probably be burned at the stake for giving it only three stars but here are my two star deductions: Deduct 1 star---$4 water. Just went to see the Ducks skin the Bruins last Thursday. But c'mon, $4 water? I expected to pay anywhere between $2 and $3 for a little bottle of water, but four bucks? A hot dog was $4.50. How can a little bottle of water even at "stadium prices" be $4.00? Especially when you can get cases of them at the local grocery store for $9. A little profit is expected. But this was highway robbery. Deduct 1 star---the noise! Yes, I realize it's a "home field advantage" and the adrenalin gets everyone going but holy cow....if you don't bring ear plugs it rattles your teeth loose. When that "fever pitch" is reached with everyone yelling "OOOOOOOOOO" ....it gets to a point that I think my eyes are going to pop out. Still, for many, that decibel level is part of the experience and maybe shouldn't count for a star deduction. But being there is no escaping it save for ear plugs, it's worth mentioning from the "negative" perspective for would be attendees. On the flip side, it's amazing how quiet the stadium gets when we are on offense. I swear you could hear a whisper three rows away. Otherwise, a great place. Love going to Duck games there and will forever be a fan. It's a clean stadium. Easily navigated. Fun. Worth every penny if you can get / afford seats and have the opportunity to go. Just don't expect to drink water without going broke and take your ear plugs if you have any sort of concern about going deaf. read more

If you are using Yelp.com to make a decision about coming to a football game at Autzen you are a little strange. This the home of the Oregon Ducks and the best place to watch a football game at any skill level on the planet. GO DUCKS!!! WTD!!! read more

The fact that anyone has given this venue less than 5 stars baffles me. It is truly a unique experience to go to an Oregon Duck game, and you'll be hard pressed to find a more passionate and loud fan base. Can the concessions be spendy? Sure. But go to any sporting event and you'll know that price gouging is just something you should come to expect. Overall this is a place you must go to watch a game sometime if you're in the northwest for any extended period of time. It also helps that the football program has been trending positively in the past few years. My recommendation is to not drive here, unless you're tailgating. The city practically shuts down near Franklin Boulevard, MLK, and Coburg on Saturdays, so watch out. If you're a student, get here early and book it when the gates open up for the student section if you care about where your seats (who needs seats though, you're standing all game) are. read more

As college football season approaches and I am 3,000 miles away from Eugene in DC I realize how much I miss this place. I've gotten to see some odd stadiums lately at Purdue a couple years ago, and Tennessee this year, but I miss Autzen. People at UO really do get spoiled having this intimate gem in their backyard. Husky Stadium gets alot of love from people who rank things like best experience, and I've been there many times as a visiting fan, but that track around the field just puts fans that much further away. Tracks around football fields also = high school. read more

This is a great stadium that will give a good experience. The intimate feel with all 50+ thousand fans all placed so close to the field provides a great raucous atmosphere. I also think the color scheme of the field is pretty nifty too. I'm so glad they rebuilt the South side, as before then the stadium looked like it rested inside a molehill. The fans, while passionate, are EXTREMELY rude and very hostile. The hostile part is fun, the pushing people down the stairs is not. The team and the fans are pretty weak, but the Stadium is top notch for its size. read more

This is an amazing stadium. 60,000 Duck fans (just under half of the population) is an amazing thing to behold and especially to hear. There are times when the ducks are doing well that you can hear the noise from the stadium in downtown Eugene. The student section is especially amazing, the fans have such a love for the Ducks that is rarely seen from any sport (besides possibly the soccer/football fans in Europe). Walk or take the bus (free for students) to the game as traffic after the game is horrible in the area. Anyone attending the UO, in fact anyone living anywhere in Oregon needs to at one point in their life attend a game at Autzen. p.s. Whatever you do; DO NOT accidentally wear a jacket with the same colors as the opposing team when sitting in the student section. read more

I attended the Halloween game against USC as a first timer to the stadium and was impressed. Apparently the stadium set a decibel record during the game. Very cool. Very good sightlines from where I was sitting. It looked to me as if there wasn't a bad view from anywhere in the house. Cocktails were $7 and they were poured VERY heavy. I ordered a Glenlivet and got a 12 oz. cup of straight scotch with ice. Thanks very much. No need for another. I would also recommend parking on or near the campus. It is a 20 minute walk to the stadium but it saves time and money getting in and out. Overall a very good experience. Just don't ask the ushers any questions about seating. I didn't know what side of the stadium the box seats were on and apparently neither did the ushers. Since this was were I was sittiing this was an important detail. I asked 5 of them and nobody knew. It was as if I had asked them for the square root of something. Not enough to dampen my overall enthusiasm but slightly irritating. read more

Sure, I'm a fan of the Ducks. I also like the Beavers. And just to rock your world--I'm the sort who applauds when a great catch is made regardless of the uniform he's wearing. Yeah--a true fan can do that. It's hard not to mix in the Duck mascot and the cheerleaders with an evaluation of the stadium, but I'm trying. It's also somewhat pointless to compare it to other stadiums. So what if they have this or they do that--we're talking only about our stadium, not theirs I enjoy many things about Autzen stadium, but not them all. The thunderous overall volume of the fans when things get going is fantastic. The stupidly loud audio system when they're playing some current hip-hop/rock/whatever before or during the game? I hate it. Banning umbrellas? I love that. Gouging me $4 for a bottle of water? I hate that. Is it really worth the acrimony of so many fans to get an extra couple of bucks for a bottle of water? I like the view from almost everywhere in the stadium. You can't take that for granted. But the thing I hate the most? That the tickets prices are now so high that I'm probably priced out of seeing any more games in person--after many years of enjoying season tickets. So maybe I should say I "was" a fan since I haven't been inside since December 2011. read more

Well, if you're a Duck fan, you know how good and fun to watch this team is. The growth of Duck football since the '90s has been a truly amazing thing to witness, and it all starts here in Autzen on Saturdays in the fall.
