Long time Whittier resident. I'm a ASE Master Tech that works in the city of Seal Beach. I would like to get closer to my home, but the shop is very busy, and the pay is good. I do a lot of side work at home, and did a lot of business at this store. There was a young manager at this store that did a excellent job. (I think her name was Lucero). I haven't seen her their for the last serval months, so I think she moved on. If she's no longer with your company, you should get her back. That store on Hadley has really gone down hill since she's left. read more

This place is great, got help by 2 people one Evelyn and the other Bryan they both really helped me out by finding the right parts for my car, it had a check engine Bryan came out and helped me out with that and by the time Bryan got finish with that he went in told Evelyn what parts I needed and she had already had it up on the system showing me which ones were the better one and at the same time Bryan was helping me by telling me how I can prevent it from happening again, thank you guys for your awesome service will be back!! read more

This the worst place to call for help. Gabby put me on hold and then later answered my call to hang up on me. I called back mark answered and when I explained my part issue he kept ignoring me and telling me to call a different phone number that I was calling the wrong place(front of the store). The customer service here is awful! Called to get information on purchasing a battery and was put on hold for 10 minutes. Hung up and called back asking to speak to a manager, put on hold another 5 minutes. Called O'Reilly and got immediate information with excellent service!! read more

I have only been to this establishment a few times in the six years I've lived in Whittier. Each time has been for a car battery purchase/replacement. Back in 2014 the young man that installed my battery really didn't know what he was doing and eventually caused corrosion on the battery that I have purchased. Since I don't pay much attention to my battery I did not notice this and after a few years the corrosion took it's toll on one of the clamps. On my most recent visit a young lady whose name I did not catch that starts with "Mat" went above and beyond when attempting to replace my battery as well as attempted to replace the clamp that was damaged by corruption which unfortunately she could not remove with the tools that she had on hand. In the end she exhausted all resources and make sure I was able to drive away to get to the nearest mechanic to further assist me. In my opinion, she made up for the poor installation that happened four years prior. read more

Great service, guys are always helpful, although one of the guys is always on his phone when i need assistance, but overall great staff.

The store manager (her name begins with an "L") helped me install my break light since I had my baby with me and even got me a $10 checkup for my car with a local mechanic when I told her I needed my belt tightened and was on a small budget! I've always had a great experience here with the service and they go above and beyond! I am happy to give my money here! Auto Zone fail! Needed a pcv elbow to fixe something on my car. The computer said they had one in stock..could not find it. Was told that another store had it and they would transfer it and I could pick it up at 3:30, 3:35 I went to pick it up and the truck was late. Next day I go to get the part and opened the box to find the part missing... was refunded and told another store had it and to go there to pick it up. I asked if they could call and see if it was really there and if both pieces were in the box so I would not waist my time and gas. Well the Parts Manager refused and said I could just drive. I asked for the number and went to call my self. The first time I was told it was special order only. I went back in and got the part number telling the guy hey this is why I wanted to call first... 2nd call, no part in stock. So the computer system clearly was failing them on updating their stock! Which is why I asked them to call! Bad customer service! Went down to OReily auto parts and not only did they have the part in stock and found it in record time...it was cheaper!! read more

This place is close to my home, so I generally run in here when I need parts, and have been doing so for the entire ten years I've lived in Whittier. Never again. Last week, in the market for wiper blades for both of our cars, I bought two sets of Duralast wipers. I didn't get around to installing them until this morning. The first three went on great, without any issues whatsoever. The final wiper came without any adapters, essentially rendering it unusable. And of course, a week having gone by, the receipt was nowhere to be found. No problem thinks I, they've always been very helpful before, so they'll probably either be able to make an exchange or supply an adapter. Little did I know. I went into the store first thing in the a.m. A pimply faced kid, trying desperately to grow a mustache and failing badly, looking fresh out of high school, appears to be the only person behind the counter. I explain my dilemma, show him the package and all the contents and he says, do you have a receipt? No. Can't exchange them, and anyway the package is open, so we couldn't exchange them if you had a receipt. I explain that I had to open the package to install the blade and how was I to otherwise know there was no adapter in there? He shows me a little flap in the top of the package. Don't you think that convenient feature might result in some adapters being lost? Can't exchange it without a receipt and anyway, it's opened. Okay, let me talk to the manager. Pimply faced high school kid IS the manager! Nothing they can do. Or more to the point, nothing Mr. Cheesy Mustache is willing to do, leaving me out my money and with a useless wiper blade. I told him in no uncertain terms that this was pure bullshit. Basically, Autozone stole my money by giving me defective merchandise which they refuse to make good. I will NEVER go back! If you're wise, avoid this place like the plague. There are plenty of reputable auto parts places in Whittier, places where they understand the meaning of customer service. read more
